Hello friends! Welcome to the start of a brand NEW YEAR! Are we all loving it?? I know I am!
We celebrated the start of the new decade at Marianna’s home with her lovely family and several good friends, including Ali-Shaun and Stephanie. Marianna is from Venezuela and definitely has a knack for entertaining, providing delicious, beautiful food, and is just an awesome person to be around.
We ate, drank, talked and laughed and even Jordan lasted until the NYC new year countdown!

10 MOST POPULAR POSTS
I love to look back at the end of the year and see which posts resonated the most with you and what you liked best. In 2019, my most popular posts were Amazon fashion posts, and several beauty posts from years past. It surprised me that hair was a popular topic on my blog. I need to do a new “shorter hairstyling” post soon!
One reason why older posts are read so much is because they’ve lived on the blog longer, so they’ve had more opportunity to be seen. Also, when you pin or share my posts with your friends, it helps more people find me online. I appreciate that so so much!
TOP 10 POSTS OF 2019
And in 2019, the posts that were the most viewed were the following:
At the start of a new year especially, I love getting everything all tidy and organized. I’ve been on a major EXTRA organizing kick over here lately. I’ve put Christmas away in the neatest way possible, and am working on Jordan’s playroom and also the pantry. I’m hoping to have some ready to show you next week.
Below are the top organization/productivity posts from last year. If you like these kinds of posts, you can find more of them by clicking the DECOR tab on my blog, then a drop down list will appear and you can click on “Organization” and “Productivity”.
This system is still going strong for us!
Y’all know how much I love a good Get Sh*t Done Day! Even a Power Hour or 20-Minute Tidy goes a long way!
I love it so much when I wake up before the kids and have a little bit of time to myself. It hasn’t been happening enough lately. Hopefully, when the kids go back to school, we’ll get into a better routine again.
I get my positive nature from my Mom and I’m grateful for it. I wrote this post last summer, in the midst of going though a difficult time in my life. It helped me through it and I hope it can touch one of you too.
I love these kinds of posts! The new year is a good time for it!
Y’all loved these posts and I really appreciate your encouragement to share my story. I’ll never regret going to law school and working as a lawyer. It’s one of the things I’m most proud of in my life. If you read the story, you’ll see why.
I’m all about my daily habits and routines, I’d love to hear what yours are and whether or not you track them!
I got very personal in this post, and was relieved to finally be able to share with you what had been going on behind the scenes. To this day, I tear up when I think about the outpouring of love and support I received after sharing. You guys really are the BEST and I’ll never forget how you lifted me up during this time and even now! Thank you so very much.
Yep, that self care is critical. We know it’s true, but it’s HARD to make the time for it. Let’s resolve to be better at it in 2020. Baby steps!
It’s always bittersweet to say goodbye to the Christmas season. I feel like I was just getting ready for Thanksgiving yesterday. It was such a whirlwind this year, but I did truly enjoy it. Planning things on paper helped and I also let several things go that I just didn’t have the time/energy for. I realized that’s okay, and God willing, there’s always next year!
And a bonus! One thing I love to do at the very beginning of the year is to plan my entire year in advance. I put everything I can schedule on the calendar and it helps keep me sane and organized throughout the year!
In that post, there’s a FREE printable that walks you through how to set up your entire 2020 in advance.
