Ugggg!!!! Jordan actually saw it on Sunday afternoon and my pest control friend Johnny came out yesterday and confirmed! He gave me sticky glue traps to put out and you better believe I’m totally freaked out about our unwelcome holiday visitor! I told Johnny I’ll calling him 911 if I wake up and see a rat wiggling around on a glue trap!!!
But, I want it gone! And quickly! Kitty has been living with us inside since it’s been cold out,

HALF MARATHON RECAP
I have good news for you – I ran my half marathon on Sunday and SURVIVED! It was so good to get out there with over 3,500+ other runners and feel their energy and dedication to a single purpose. It was really hard, and we ran a double loop on Allen Parkway, which has hills so my quads were on fire.
I’m really proud of myself and I pushed hard to run the entire 13.1 miles. I started with a steady pace, and felt really good at mile 5,
Hi friend! Welcome to a fresh, new week! Even though Mondays are necessarily my fave, I do like that ‘fresh start’ feeling and my favorite workout class (1-hour HITT with Colleen) is on Monday and that’s a great way to start the week.
Since the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, I haven’t shopped that much at Nordstrom, but I was on their site recently and a few new tops caught my eye. Everything is perfectly appropriate for Fall right now and a few sweaters or layering pieces can take you on into Winter. I paired them with jeans I got at the NSale this year and even two years ago!
Hi friend! Happy Monday! Welcome to a fresh, new week! We had such a good weekend celebrating my mom’s birthday on Saturday. I love it when we can all get together and hang out, just spending time together.  All of the cousins are getting so big!
And the training session for our new puppy, Luke went really well too. Honestly, it was more of a training session for me and the kids. I wanted to learn tools for getting Luke to stop jumping up on Jordan and the dog trainer Russell helped tremendously. The first lesson also taught Luke how to go to his “place”

I have the weekend alone, but not really with Luke and Kitty here. I’m still very much in potty training mode with Luke and know it takes patience and perseverance. I also fit in a couple of runs since last week was pretty much a bust. My half marathon is October 30!

I’m so happy it’s Friday!  Brian and I are going to his company property out in the country with clients and coworkers. We’ll wake up at the crack of dawn tomorrow morning to go offshore fishing.
