Last Chance NSale & Under $50 Finds Still in Stock + More

Hi friend! Yay for Friday!  Yesterday I got together with my girlfriends to celebrate Stephanie’s birthday and it was such a good time!  We’ve kinda lost touch over the summer, so it was awesome to spend time together.  If you’re in Houston, we went to Ostia and it’s such a lovely atmosphere with a rustic, farm to table menu.  Everything was absolutely delicious!

Just the Gs Trip

Last weekend, my 7 year-old daughter and I went to The Woodland’s Resort for a mommy/daughter getaway.  I loved getting that alone time with her and it was a perfect little trip, since The Woodland’s is only a 45 minute drive from Houston.

The main attraction for us was the resort style swimming pool with slides, a water basketball hoop, splash pad and lazy river.  We spent many hours out there, and I also appreciated the shade provided by the big umbrellas.

We loved the poolside nachos and chips & queso.

In the evening, we went off campus and headed to the nearby indoor/outdoor Woodland’s Mall and ate at Cheesecake Factory one night, Shake Shack the next.  I ordered the Tiramisu cheesecake and Jordan got the Oreo Cookie cheesecake.

We also popped into Barnes & Noble, Anthropologie and Pottery Barn.  When I got home, I ordered this rug for my living room, fingers crossed!  I moved the previous rug to the patio.  I think the soon to be changing seasons prompted the change.

This little girl and I are two peas in a pod, reading and coloring outside on a beautiful summer evening.

At Barnes & Noble, I picked up two design books – The Cozy Minimalist Home (I feel like it perfectly sums up my approach and it’s written by a dear old friend that I met in my early days of blogging) & The New Design Rules (learning from one of the best).

Have a fantastic weekend friend!
