The Gibson x Hi Sugarplum Holiday collection just launched and the styles are a fun take on a traditional look with a modern prep, happy vibe! The pieces easily mix and match to create outfits as sets or separates that you can wear throughout the entire season.

For size reference : I’m petite, 5’1, 110, 34D. I usually wear 0P or 25 in jeans and XS or 0P tops.

Classic red plaid, textured jacquard fabric in gorgeous champagne and rick black, and stunning sequins sum up the dresses in this collection.

You cannot go wrong with this plaid dress. The style is a playful take on traditional with the slightly ruffled cap sleeves, A-line skirt, and tie belt. The colors and pattern are so holiday and I love the little bit of gold thread running throughout.
I’d love to dress my daughter is something similar for mother/daughter holiday pictures. Wouldn’t that be cute?!

How classy is this champagne colored jacquard dress?! I’m smitten with this color that will flatter every skin tone. Everything seems more elevated in this richly textured material.

Leopard Sequin Dress • Clear Heels
THIS is the New Year’s Eve dress I was talking about. It’s super va va voom, without being body conscious. Instead, it skims the body with a perfect v-neck front and just above the knee length. It’s also a fun take on animal print with sequins throughout.
It’s lined on this inside, so super soft against your skin. Bring on 2020!

CHIC TROUSERS
I was happy to see a classic pair of chic trousers in the collection. This pair has a svelt silk banded waist and a wide leg that flares away from the body. And there’s pockets!
Pants Fit : The run large, I’m wearing size XXSP, but still need a bit of tailoring and the length hemmed
Wide Leg Pants • Double V Tank
These wide leg, high waist pants work well with any top in the collection and more. You could make them work friendly by pairing a classic button down top or thin knit sweater.
This leopard print tank is extra with the gold lame dots layered on top. The shine is incredible and gives you that nighttime party vibe.
LUXE JACKET
If you’ve ever wondered what kind of jacket looks best with your holiday outfit, a faux leather jacket always works, but the velvet tuxedo jacket is perfect too. This one is so chic and luxe and feels amazing on. It’s a tuxedo style blazer with two front faux pockets, a single button and modern lapels. There’s even a little v-cut at the wrist that gives it an updated vibe.
You can wear this velvet jacket with skirts and dresses, and even jeans for a smart look out.

STUNNING SKIRTS & FUN TOPS
You’ll be able to easily mix and match the tops, skirts, and trousers in this collection to create lots of different looks. Each piece comes in multiple colors so you can choose your favorites.

The sequins add flair to this classic top and it’s fully lined so it’s not at all scratchy. For my girls that prefer sleeves, the length on these sleeves is lovely, hitting just above the elbow.
But, you have to see the darling scoop back! It’s cut just perfectly so that it shows a little skin, but not too much! You can really glam it up with your hair up too and that would be sooo pretty!
The skirt is that fun leopard print with gold lame dots. It’s nice and swingy with a size zip, elastic back waist and coordinating tie belt.

The classic plaid dress comes in a festive A-line skirt. It’s beautifully pleated with a streamlined waist and no pockets so there’s no added bulk at the hips. You can wear any number of colors on top, for this look I chose the sequin v-neck tank.
Like it’s sister longer sleeve style, it’s fully lined inside so it’s really soft against your skin. The champagne color is stunning and will look especially good with white or cream colored trousers.

There are several red tops in the holiday collection that you can pair with different bottoms. They got the red color spot on, not to orangey or pink- very true red and vibrant! MAC’s Brave Red is a gorgeous lipstick color to wear with it!
This silky ruffle trim top feels classy and chic. It would be perfect for wearing your hair up and showing off your shoulders.

I have loved all of the Gibson line clothes, but honestly a little disappointed with this launch. Feel like it’s very young looking especially in the dresses and not very universal.
Oh I felt so feminine in those dresses and can’t wait to wear the sassy one!
