Little White Easter Dress

Happy almost Easter friends!  I usually feel like it takes forever for Easter to arrive, and this year, it’s sneaking up on me.  We usually go to church and then have family over for a big Easter egg hunt and lunch or dinner, but I haven’t had a chance to plan anything yet.  I do know that it will be even more fun this year with Jordan and our sweet little nephew added to the family.  He’s just five months younger than Jordan, so it’s lots of baby love over here.
I popped into Target this week for protein pancake mix and walked out with two adorable Easter dresses for Jordan.  She’s on the small side and still fitting in some 12 month clothes so I wasn’t sure what was going to fit, but this pretty floral pink dress fit perfectly!  I also got her this white and bright dot dress with an adorable bow on the back.  #socute!!
We have a bin of Spring and Easter decor that I pulled out of the pantry and need to sprinkle around the house.  But for now, Jordan loved playing with the eggs!  So much changes in a year with a baby.  Last year, I took her pic with that egg garland circled around her in a heart shape, and now she’s standing up, wrapping it around her!
I found her Easter basket early at Michael’s and scooped it up before they sold out.  Hopefully, I can keep reusing it and maybe have her name embroidered on the gingham fabric.  I wonder if I can get that done in the next two weeks??  Add it to the To Do list!

I’ve been really impressed with some of you observant folks noticing that Jordan has white eyelashes on her right eye.  I’m not sure where she got that, but it’s unique!  I wonder if it will stay like that??
Her nursery got a small Spring update with the festive Happy Easter banner.  I’ve been switching out the garland between seasons, but only yesterday took down the Valentine’s Day one.  #oops
So onto some Easter attire for us! I’ve seen so many gorgeous white dresses online and ordered several to review for you in an upcoming Dressing Room post, but this off shoulder eyelet number was one of my faves, so I wanted to show it to you now.

It’s funny because the photo of this dress online looks slightly blue on my computer, but it’s a true white in person.  Very fresh and clean and bright white.

The eyelet detail is so Springy and youthful and fun and it’s 100% cotton and lined.  I’d say it fits TTS – I’m wearing the XXS, but almost could’ve went with the XS because of my larger chest.
By the way, thank you so much for all your conversations yesterday about the Perfect T-Shirt Bra.  If you saw my Stories, you know I disrobed for you so you could see it on!  #nowthatsafriend Thank God those stories delete! 😉
But, you might not be surprised to hear I’m wearing the undies and strapless bra here.  Man, those are some good panties!  And I could never wear a dress like this without a bra!  Having a good strapless bra opens up a world of wardrobe options.

Off Shoulder Dress XXS | Strapless Bra TTS | Yellow Heels | Similar Yellow Clutch | Necklace | Sunglasses | Earrings | Nails | Lips (Baja Bound)

You could keep this outfit neutral with nude heels and simple accessories, but I wanted to punch it up for Spring.  My bright yellow clutch is old from GiGi New York, but this $25 version makes a similar statement.  The blue one is pretty too.How fun are the yellow heels?! They come in several colors and are great way to add color to your outfit through your shoes. I usually wear a 6 or 6 1/2 in shoes and the 6 1/2 were too big, so I went with the 6.

I’m sort of obsessed with some new bright lip colors for Spring too.  The liquid lipstick I’m wearing here is called “Baja Bound”.  It’s on the orangey-pink side and goes on like a gloss, then dries matte. I usually add a sheer gloss to give it some sheen, but it’s pretty left alone too.
This liquid lipstick is super pigmented so it does make a statement, but like red lipstick, it’s really growing on me!  If you’re not used to wearing a bright lip, it will take some time to get used to, but I encourage you to try it.  Fashion should be fun, right?!  I also like this bright hot pink lipstick in the shade “Talk to Me.”  It’s killer for Spring!
This dress is just as cute coming as it is going.  See all the pretty eyelet detail?
I like to be able to add a jacket and my jean jacket fit well over the dress, even though it was strapless.  I like how the light blue looks with the white and yellow too.

The jacket is super soft and fits TTS, I’m in XS.
Have y’all made Easter plans yet?  What do you normally do?  I can’t wait to see what Jordan thinks of coloring eggs!
Have a great day, friends! ?

  1. I can't get over how much she's grown. She looks so much like James, but I am seeing more of you in her now as opposed to Jimmy. I did notice the white eyelashes! My youth pastor growing up's wife had dark hair with a white streak and their girls inherited it as well (one dark headed, one blonde) Her maiden name was Whitehead (go figure).

  2. Oh man, those yellow heels are so perfect! You pull off the bright shades so we'll!

I bet Jordan's eyelashes could be a "birthmark". My best friend has a similar thing but on a bigger scale: blonde hair on her left arm, eyelashes and eyebrow, and a blonde streak through her dark hair!

  3. J is cracking me up on your insta-stories- her hair is too cute! My daughter is 5, and I have a feeling this is the last year she's going to let me dress her in a traditional Easter dress, so I'm going all out with a madras dress for her!

    1. That will be super cute! I love to see what kids pick out for themselves to wear. I usually let my son dress himself and it's always interesting. He came downstairs recently with a shirt and shorts that didn't match at all and I just asked, "do you think those go together?" and he said, "yes! They're both Under Armour!" Ha!
