Holiday Home Tour
Good morning Monday! Welcome to a fresh, new week. For many of us with kiddos, it’s the last school week before Christmas break! We have our class parties on Friday and then the oh so cute Advent program. My son has mid-term exams, but we definitely already have our minds on the holiday break. You too?
HOLIDAY HOME TOUR
It’s our second Christmas in our new home and I can’t wait to welcome you inside!
Last year, I did a major purge of our Christmas decor and was left with only the things we truly love. It feels like every year, my decor gets more simplified, but I enjoy how light and airy the space feels this way.
I didn’t buy any new decor this year, except for the major purchases that are are new Christmas tree. I ordered the 6.5 one early, but din’t unbox it until I was ready to start decorating. Then, I realized that one was way too short for our living room, and it was too late to return, so I put it in my room. Then, I bought a larger 9 foot tree that fits perfectly in the corner of our living room!
Most of our decor is from Amazon, Target and World Market and I tried to link everything I could find. If you have any questions, let me know in the comments and I’ll answer!
Front Porch Holiday decor
Welcome to our holiday home! We have a little bit of festive with the holiday door mat, wreath, little tree in a bucket that I’ve had forever, and a wagon filled with faux berry branches.
I found the wagon and tree in a bucket at Homegoods and they are both such fun additions. I added gold bells to the tree for a bit of bling.
My 7 year-old especially loves the inflatable Holiballs. We have a set of three – gold, white and green. I borrowed Rhonda’s electric pump that makes blowing these babies up a breeze.
And, if you’ve been here for a minute, you might not have recognized Jordan – wearing a dress?! Who’s that girl?! Well, it seems her style is changing and she’s liking more “girly” clothes lately. As y’all know, I’m cool with however she feels most comfortable and confident. She definitely has her opinions!
Living Room Holiday Decor
Target Stocking Holder (Similar) • Tree • Coffee Table • Rug
Our living room has evolved since we moved in. I’ve updated the rug that I absolutely LOVE and added a round coffee table. Since our rug has blue tones in it, I kept the decor in this room to metallics and left the color for our kitchen and dining room.
Homegoods Train (Similar) • Christmas Tree
Isn’t the tree pretty?! I love the mix of branches, the natural shape and the on/off foot pedal for the white lights.

Our stockings are many years old and Santa will fill the stockings with our names on Christmas Eve.
Big Lots Tree Pillow • Green Velvet Pillow • Chunky Throw • Pot & Plant
I’ve started to really appreciate the cute seasonal decor at Big Lots. I found this tree pillow there and several of our holiday candles – always at such a low price!
I love how simple and peaceful the living room looks – especially when it’s cold enough to light the fireplace.

This nativity scene is such a special part of our Christmas decor and I started collecting the pieces a couple of years ago. Rhonda gifted me the gorgeous stand last year – such a treasured gift!

We didn’t have the console table last year, so it was fun to decorate this piece this year. The perfect spot to display the nativity scene.

The cookie jar that I’ve had for ages actually holds Luke’s dog food! 😉 The kids framed Christmas photos are such a joy to look at each year.
I also have some of our photos in our pantry near the hot cocoa station.

The skinny Christmas tree in the corner of the dining room was our main tree last year. I’m so glad we upgraded, but this one still works, so it looks cute here with all our special ornaments.

I also enjoy this open wooden shelving as a decor opportunity. I filled it to the brim, then ended up editing and removing things until it felt less busy. I really like how the bells look at the top.

Jordan picked our outfits on this day! Her top is from Amazon, my outfit is old from Loft.
And she chose this outfit on a recent trip to Target. Sassy!
We just took family photos – I can’t believe how much taller my son is than me now! – and I can’t wait to share them with you when I get them back! My good friend Tisha took them and she’s so good!!

your home looks so peaceful (and personal)! ❤️
Thank you so much Pam, that’s such a kind comment!
Your house looks beautiful. I could hardly get past that wagon. So cute! The nativity scene is beautiful. Mine helps me remember the reason for the season. Enjoy this Christmas season with your two adorable children.
Thanks Carol! And that’s why we put the nativity scene right in the center of our home.
