Hello, friends! I’m excited to welcome you into our holiday home again! Last week, you saw the first floor of our 2-story home all decked out for Christmas, and today I’m bringing you upstairs! This tour is especially close to my heart because I’m joining my old school friends for this one! These are the women I first admired and met when I began my own blog almost 8 years ago! Since then, so many things have changed about blogging and as is often the case with changes, some things are good, and some make me long for those old days! I feel all nostalgic joining this group of veteran bloggers who still have the same passion for blogging that I have. I truly wake up everyday and look forward to the ‘work’ I do here and as I’m doing it, I enjoy it tremendously! Sometimes, I think about taking a few weeks break, and maybe someday I will, but I know that on any “break” I took, I’d still want to be blogging because it’s what I also do for fun! I’m honored to be included in this group of bloggers that I genuinely admire and respect!
So, without further ado, let’s head on in and start this tour!
Sitting Room
This year and last, one of my favorite rooms in the house is our master bedroom sitting room. We put a tall, skinny tree in there and a lighted wreath and when they are lit up at night, it truly feels magical!
Although the Christmas decor would look better without the tv, Jordan sometimes watches Paw Patrol or Mickey Mouse in here while I get ready in the morning, so I left it in. #priorities
The tree is adorned with metallic ornaments, strings of gold beads, and woven gold ribbon. My trick for decorating a tree with ribbon is to weave it in and out among the branches and also twist the ribbon some so that it looks like it’s twirling. This is easy to do if your ribbon has wire rimmed edges.
Of course, toddlers are naturally curious about everything, but this one’s a climber too! I try to let her test her boundaries to some extent, but man, it can wear a mama out! I’m always worried she’s gonna get hurt! But, I love that I captured these moments to remember and share with her one day. And how her Lovie never leaves her side!
I have a small collection of reindeer that we grouped together here to display. I could seriously go overboard with them, but then where would we put them all?!
These snowmen from Target HAD to come home with me last year! They are so adorable, even I love them!
And Jordan does too- she’s started saying “snowman” now!
Just like with James, we do lots of reading. This Good Night Baby and If I Could Keep You Little are Jordan’s current faves.
I’m crazy for the view from the bathroom looking into this room! And at night, you can also see the tree lit up from outside- it’s really pretty!
I found the NOEL banner last year at the Nutcracker Market. I attached it to the wall with ribbon and hung it in front of the wreath this year.
I get lots of questions about where those matted photo frames are from, and actually, they are from WalMart! The mat was originally a dark tan, and I spray painted them white! I had the photos printed at MPix and they do an amazing job printing high quality photos! I chose black and white, but they do color also.
Jordan’s Nursery
I never tire of walking into Jordan’s nursery, and with her mini flocked Christmas tree, it’s even better! The tree was a happy Homegoods score last year and it’s still so cute, but she has started pulling all those stuffed ornaments into her crib at night!
Next, let’s head into my office, where I spend much of my day blogging! I feel incredibly fortunate that I get to work from home and be with my kids more while they are young. It’s a blessing that my Mom comes over during the day to watch Jordan while I’m at my computer. You moms of littles know how hard it is to get anything done with them in the house! I wrote a post about a typical day in the life of a lifestyle blogger to give you a little more insight into our days! For a full office tour, go here.
I really enjoy stepping into my office each morning and sitting down at my desk! I only put a few decorations up this year (lights, a mini tree on my desk and my rose gold tree across the room) in the interest of keeping it simple, but it still feels festive to me!
I used to have my ugly cords all hidden, but someone got under there and pulled them down. ;( My little rose gold tree is the real star here, she’s so perfectly feminine for this room!
Even though Jordan spends a lot of time with Grandma, she’ll pop in from time to time and loves being my tiny assistant! In case you were wondering, James was in school when I snapped these pics, so that’s why you don’t see him. 😉
Thank you so much for stopping by! Please be sure to visit all my friends on the tour (and there’ll be more soon)! I promise you will like what you see and you’ll be pinning every image!
Good morning friends! I’m taking advantage of a few minutes with the boys playing video games to reflect on the past couple of days and go through all the photos…
Hi all! Hope you had a wonderful Easter weekend! We kept it low key, just staying around the house. Hunting eggs this year was really fun, do the images…
Thank you to Nordstrom and ShopStyle for sponsoring today’s post. Hi friends! How’s your week going? I seriously cannot believe that we’re in the last month of the year! And…
Have you been adding little touches of Christmas around your home? A Santa figure here, a reindeer there? Or some ornaments gathered in a bowl or vase? I’m realizing that…
Hi friend! As you know, I’ve been sharing holiday gift guides all this week! I know that many of you are starting your shopping now to ensure that things arrive…

Beautiful decor Megan. Hard to believe the years that have gone by. My E is a nanny for a sweet boy, reminds me a bit of James as a baby. Head of dark hair and huge blue eyes!

I️ love it all! Can you please tell me where you found the pearl ornaments? Thank you and merry Christmas!
Hi Yvonne! Those pearls are supposed to be white berries and they are on a pick! I think I found them at Hobby Lobby!
