You Cute, Walmart!

Hi friend! Yay for Friday! We have my daughter’s 8th birthday party on the agenda this weekend. She’s so passionate about basketball, this is what she asked for her birthday.

Thank you SO much for the love on yesterday’s decluttering post. I appreciate your thoughtful comments and really love hearing your own experiences. I’ve actually continued decluttering beyond that challenge and it’s wild to see what you can find to let go when you’re motivated to do so.

I think part of this is also a way of coping with my recent health challenge and a way to feel more in control in my home life.

And, as promised, I have new things to share with you today. This time, from Walmart and you won’t even believe they’re from that store!

Remember when we only thought of Walmart for household items? It’s all changed in the past few years and they’ve really upped their fashion game with new styles.

The best part is, everything is super affordable!

For Size Reference: I’m a shorty (5’1) and petite, weighing about 110.  I typically wear size 0p/25 jeans, XS or XSP in tops and dresses.

First up, how darling is this bright pink sweater cardigan?! It’s such a fun, punchy pink color which is perfect as we inch toward Spring. You get the warmth of winter, but the vibrant spring color. You can wear it open with a cami underneath, but I also like it buttoned and front tucked like I’m wearing here.

It fits TTS, but I sized up to a small and like the relaxed fit.

The jeans are from Loft – a high rise, bootcut style that gives you legs for days. My regular size fit, but if I wasn’t wearing a heel, they’d be too long.

More Spring colors with this cardigan and tank sweater set. The light lime green is taking me back to 3rd grade when neon was everywhere. The cardigan is a thinner ribbed knit and the cami is crop length with spaghetti straps. It isn’t the softest set, but it sure is cute!

For when the weather turns warmer, this yellow sweater tank with scallop detail will be perfect. That yellow is like bright sunshine and looks so good on my dark haired friends.

For a more classic look, this cardigan is so chic. It’s a tightly woven knit in a medium weight fabric that feels substantial and high quality. I really like the round gold buttons, it gives the cardigan a sophisticated look.

Walmart Skirt

You won’t believe this faux leather pleated skirt is from Walmart! It looks so high end and expensive, but it’s only $34. It pulls on over your hips and has a banded waist. The material is actually polyester with some stretch, but it feels so soft and it’s machine washable!

The skirt runs big, I safety pinned it in the back for these pics.

I styled it for more of a work look here with the soft collared sweater, but you could also make it “edgy night out” with a rocker/graphic tee & sneakers or with bodysuit & heels. A fitted white button down and booties with a fun necklace would be another great look.

The sweater fits large too, I would prefer a size down.

Y’all! How pretty is this dress?! It’s absolutely gorgeous in person and the fit feels so good! The bright warm pink and blue combo is lovely in an interesting abstract print.

It’s pleated throughout in a soft, stretchy material that flows beautifully with an asymmetric hem.

We’re not giving up sweater dresses just yet and I like the simplicity of this style. It’s literally a sweater turned into a dress. If you like brights, this pink may be for you.

For my neutral-loving gals, the tan looks great styled in a monochrome color palette.

I also found a few dresses that will take you from work to weekend. This shirt dress is high style with the brushstroke print and pretty mix of blue tones. It’s a lightweight rayon material and comes with the coordinating tie belt, plus there’s pockets.

This dress is a casual take on a menswear inspired shirt, sans collar. It has buttons from chest to hem, a single front pocket, side pockets and belted. It’s cool how they did double stripes and elastic wrists, so you can easily scrunch the sleeves up.

This pattern reminds me of the Marimekko brand– it’s playful with bold floral graphics. The dress is appropriate for work to church to lunch or dinner out. It has a high, smocked neckline, demure keyhole at the chest, smocked waist and pockets.

I’ve found several jackets at Walmart that I’m crazy for and this faux leather style is no exception. It zips up the front with additional zipper accents and a modern notch collar. It’s really soft (also machine washable), but runs large.
