Hi friends! Welcome back to my blog! I really appreciated all of your feedback on yesterday’s home decor post. I’m excited to see that you enjoy home decor, organization, productivity, fitness and things like that. Those are my interests too!
Sometimes I feel like you’ve already seen most of my home decor since I haven’t done any major room makeovers in a long time. But, I can still share how I’m organizing everything, and little changes here and there. I have ahome tour here if you’re interested.
A few of you mentioned how life has changed in this last year and, therefore your routines, energy levels and way you live your life has changed along with it.
I’m sharing a beauty post with you today, but this one is a little different. I wanted to share a simplified version of my personal skincare routine- morning and evening- and maybe this will work for you too.
Vitamin C Serum • Complete Eye Cream • Sheer Renewal Cream • Triple Defense Sunscreen • Retinol Eye Supreme • Mandelic Acid Radiance Serum • Extreme Recovery Cream
4-MINUTE SKINCARE ROUTINE
MORNING
I understand that a skincare regimen can feel overwhelming and you might just want the basics. SIMPLE PLEASE! AND EASY! Not a long list of 17-steps when you barely have time to get ready in the morning or are crashing into bed at night. And not to mention, when you’re not even sure what you should be using.
Honestly, for the bare minimum, I’d recommend just cleansing, moisturizing and applying a sunscreen in the morning. Yep, that might be enough if you really want to keep things as simple and easy as possible.
But, if you’re a little more concerned with your skin and want to give yourself an extra boost for reducing fine lines and wrinkles, have skin that’s vibrant and radiant with less signs of photo aging – you could add a couple more items into your morning and evening routine.
Vitamin C Serum • Complete Eye Cream • Sheer Renewal Cream • Triple Defense Sunscreen
In the morning, my simplest skincare takes about four minutes and most of that is waiting about 60 seconds for each product to absorb before applying the next. It’s become a habit and I don’t even really need to think about it.
4-MINUTE MORNING ROUTINE:
I simply cleanse, apply an eye cream, Vitamin C, moisturizer, and sunscreen.
There was a time when I used to wake up and just splash water on my face- I wouldn’t actually wash it until after my workout. But, I started noticing little bumps popping up on my forehead and my skin was looking duller.
I’m also a night sweater, so I realized I definitely need to cleanse my face in the morning. However, since I’m also going to be washing again after my workout, I use a gentle cleanser, the Radiant Cleansing Balm.
It’s a balm cleanser you apply with your clean fingers to your dry face. Then, you wet the muslin cloth with warm water that it comes with and gently wipe off the balm.
MINIMAL SKINCARE TIP : If you go to sleep right after doing your evening skincare, you might be able to get away with just a splash of water on your face when you wake up in the morning. But, definitely cleanse after your workout.
Vitamin C Serum • Complete Eye Cream • Sheer Renewal Cream • Triple Defense Sunscreen
The next thing I do is apply the Vitamin C Serum to combat hyperpigmentation and signs of aging, and it has damage-repairing and UV-protecting powers. I apply it all over my face in a thin layer, then wait about 60 seconds for it to absorb.
Then, I gently dot the eye cream around my eyes. It helps with wrinkles, fine lines, under-eye circles, puffiness and loss of elasticity.
Next step is moisturizer, and I like the Sheer Renewal Cream because it’s light enough for everyday and also acts as a primer for you makeup. Not only does it hydrate your skin, it promotes new cell turnover to help minimize the appearance of lines and wrinkles.
Last step is applying sunscreen. I’ve been wanting Colleen to come out with a sunscreen forever and she finally did! I ordered it as soon as it launched and have been using it everyday!
The Triple Defense Sunscreen is a broad spectrum SPF 40 that protects against UVA/UVB rays, pollution and blue light. It also has antioxidants to help fight future signs of aging and skin damage.
It’s 100% Mineral Sunscreen (reef safe), Non-Comedogenic (won’t clog pores) and also controls oil.
I like the little pump that’s easy to use and the scent is really nice. It goes on smooth and doesn’t leave a white cast on my skin.
MINIMAL SKINCARE TIP : The Triple Defense Sunscreen contains hydration benefits and Vitamin C, so if you really want to reduce products, you could try the Sunscreen as an alternative to moisturizer and the Vitamin C Serum and see how your skin handles that.
EVENING
For the simple of the simplest evening routine, I would just cleanse and moisturize. Sometimes that’s all you need.

Radiant Cleansing Balm • Retinol Eye Supreme • Mandelic Acid Radiance Serum • Extreme Recovery Cream
4-MINUTE EVENING ROUTINE:
Cleanse, Eye Cream, Serum, Moisturizer
After cleansing, I take a second to apply an eye cream to lift and firm that area. I’m 46 and making sure to be more considerate to the delicate area around my eyes that I used to neglect.
I use the Retinol Eye Supreme because this one has retinol, so it’s meant to be applied at night. It comes in a cool new tube that dispenses the eye serum onto a cooling applicator tip. You glide the applicator from inner to outer eye area, then massage the serum into your skin with your ring finger. I’ll be ordering that tube when I run out of this bottle
Then, I’ve found the Mandelic Acid Radiance Serum works so well in conjunction with the Vitamin C Serum for reducing dark spots and hyperpigmentation. This combo has significantly diminished my dark spots.
I used to have a lot of hyperpigmentation, especially around my cheeks and I was so self conscious about it. I felt like I needed to wear powder to cover it, but now I can go bare faced and feel confident in my skin.
And for moisturizer, I use the Extreme Recovery Cream and my skin drinks it in. It’s ultra moisturizing and my combination skin looks extra plump and feels so soft when I use it.

What does your skincare routine look like? Are you using sunscreen? For so many years I didn’t because it broke out my skin. Then, I finally found a few that worked well with my skin and no breakouts! The Triple Defense Sunscreen is a great one!
I’m curious how many products do you typically use in the morning and at night, including your face wash? Looks like I use about 4-5. Let me know in the comments!
Have a fantastic day friends!
Thank you to Colleen Rothschild for sponsoring today’s post and for finally coming out with a sunscreen!
Lovely!
Awesome post! I use 5 products in the morning (I have a four step regimen and I add a vitamin C serum only in the morning) then at night I use four products.

You sound like me Rose! 😉
In the morning I wash my face and it can depend on a lot of things which cleanser I use. Sometimes I double cleanse after a work out. After that I put on toner, eye cream, moisturiser and a sunscreen. In the evening I cleanse and again it can depend on a few factors which particular method and product I use, then toner, eye cream, moisturiser and a facial oil. Some evenings I put on an overnight mask and on a Saturday morning, I really like to spend a good while looking after my skin. It took me a long time to start doing this but I think the last 18 months I have really noticed the benefits of taking the time to find the right products and methods that suit me.
