Hi friends! I’m popping in with a quick winter skincare saver tip for you today! Our typical hot and humid Houston weather has turned cold and dry and my skin isn’t used to it. I’ve noticed that my skin been much drier and flaky, especially at my cheeks and on forehead. It tends to feel tight in those areas too. Whenever I need a boost of hydration to my skin, I make a ‘cocktail’ with just two ingredients.
MY 2-INGREDIENT COCKTAIL FOR DRY SKIN
At night, after cleansing my face and patting almost dry, I apply my skincare cocktail. But, that is part of the secret. If you apply your moisturizer while your skin is still damp, it will absorb the moisturizer better!
The Extreme Recovery Cream provides maximum levels of continuous moisture while strengthening the hydro-lipid barrier. It’s formulated with ingredients to plump, brighten, reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, even out skin tone and texture.
Face Oil No. 9 contains nine transformative oils that provide an intense moisture boost, deeply nourishing thirsty skin. The active combination of precious oils and vitamins offers protection from oxidative stress that results in the appearance of spots and wrinkles. This formula also improves the skin’s moisture barrier for enhanced cellular function and hydration, leaving no greasy residue.
I gently massage the cocktail all over my face, starting at my forehead and working my way down, making sure not to miss any spots. I also include my lips! Finally, I rub my hands together, making sure not to waste any bit!
My skin is prone to breakouts with certain products, but I’ve never had any problem or breakout using the Face Oil or Extreme Recovery Cream. On the contrary, when I put this cocktail on before bed, my face always wakes up looking fresher and more radiant. It seems more smooth and vibrant too.
If you’re struggling with brutal temps and dry skin, try it!
Last weekend, Brian had been hunting and he came back with a bit of a windburn on his face. I made my little cocktail for him and his skin drank it up! He said his skin felt much better!

I’ve been using this gentle cleanser for years and still love it. It’s probably the product I would recommend if I had to choose only one. It’s a balm cleanser you apply with your clean fingers to your dry face. Then, you wet the muslin cloth with warm water that it comes with and gently wipe off the balm.
The combination of the textured cloth and the Radiant Cleansing Balm act as an exfoliant to gently remove impurities. I finish by splashing cold water onto my skin to help close my pores, then pat dry. My skin is left feeling soft and clean, but not tight. Plus, it smells amazing and leaves you feeling like you just left a spa after every use.
Consider this scrub an at-home alternative to professional microdermabrasion treatments. It has micro-mineral (ultra-fine) crystals that you apply to wet skin and gently scrub in a circular motion, avoiding the eye area.
You don’t have to press hard- the crystals do the work. You’re left with refined texture, unclogged pores and a brighter complexion because the dead skin cells are buffed away.
This eye cream helps smooth wrinkles and fine lines, and offers skin plumping properties under eye circles, puffiness and loss of elasticity. It’s very gentle and a little goes a long way.
I use my ring finger to gently tap the product around my eyes. It doesn’t irritate my eyes at all.
PRO TIP : if you have product left over, apply it to your lips to help alleviate the fine lines in that area
I’ve heard for years that Vitamin C is one of the best products you can use on your skin for it’s anti-aging, damage-repairing and UV-protecting powers. Use it consistently and over time to see the best results, including reducing hyperpigmentation and increasing cell turnover. My skin is more radiant and even toned since I started using it.
PRO TIP : Apply a thin layer over your face, but don’t forget your neck and chest. Let it absorb for one minute before applying your next product.
This is one product that I highly recommend for the reducing dark spots I was talking about. I’ve seen a big improvement in my spots fading when I added this serum to my regimen, especially in combination with the Vitamin C Treatment Complex.
It’s a daily treatment that promotes cellular turnover, which addresses photo-aging, fine lines, acne, dark spots and overall skin texture. Derived from the bitter almond, Mandelic acid is a gentle yet highly effective alpha hydroxy acid (AHA).
I still love and use the Face Oil No. 9 often, but the Retinol Supreme Night Oil has the added benefit of regenerating your skin with a highly potent vitamin C. Like I mentioned above, Vitamin C is important for boosting collagen production and repairing skin damage due to the environment and the sun.
I use this at night and wake up with glowy skin!
