Our home is our haven from the world, and there’s no place I’d rather be! It’s a good thing too, because since 2010, when we built this place, I’ve been pouring over all the design and decor details, making it the perfect cozy home for us. During the day you may see footballs flying through the air, toys strewn about the living room and beyond, and kitchen counters clutters with all.the.things! I’m so thankful for this crew of amazing friends. Most of us have known each other about 10 years – since our kids started preschool together.
NEW CLOSET TOUR
Can you believe it’s been almost one year since we moved into our new house? I’ve shown the whole home tour here, but there are still a few rooms that I haven’t fully shared.
One of my biggest life changes in 2022 was moving into this new house. I still very much liked our old house, but when this new home appeared on the market and I saw it for the first time, I felt like we belonged there.
The kids were with me when we first toured it and after being inside for just 20 minutes, my inner voice declared out loud, I think this is our house. I could totally picture us living there.
Wow.
It was a big leap of faith, considering my old house wasn’t even on the market.

Usually on Wednesdays I share the “best sales”, but honestly, I have to admit I’ve been getting kind of burned out on that. I felt like I was getting in a rut searching for sales and having to force it sometimes.

Hi friend! I hope you had a wonderful weekend! Jordan and I spent the last week “Just the Gs” (girls) and it was so lovely to get all that alone time with her. ♥
We bonded with lots of conversation, coloring, reading, baking, going to Target, Chick-fil-A, the pool, and the bookstore and also playing with the friendly neighborhood cat that has started showing up at our front porch daily.
Jordan has become quite attached to and obsessed with “Mr. Handsome.” I will say he’s super cute and I’m very fond of him too. Except, I think he’s a she.

Hi friend! I’m really excited to invite you into our new living room today! As you probably know, we moved into our new house about two months ago. In those eight weeks, we’ve started to settle into our home. It still very much has that ‘new house feel’, but we’re making it our own.
This home has an open floor plan that’s laid out in a lovely way. I like that the living room still feels nice and cozy, even though it opens up to the kitchen and dining room.

It’s been a whirlwind with the process of buying a new house while simultaneously getting my house ready to put on the market. I wanted to make sure it was show ready, so I deep cleaned, touched up paint, and started packing up to make our house look staged.
The goal is to make it pretty and inviting and like no one lived there.

Hi friend! Welcome to a brand new week! This week is gonna be so fun because I get to go our annual Nutcracker Market with my mom on Thursday. It’s a local holiday shopping event where hundreds of vendors gather in our convention center to share their holiday goodies- everything from decor, gifts, clothing, toys and food!
It’s always so much fun and I cherish that one-on-one time with my mama. It’s hard to get a grandma’s attention when the grandkids are around! We always kick off the day with mimosas and it’s a lot of fun.

I have to admit, I was really smitten with James’ old bedroom, especially the wallpaper and blue trim, but he was ready for a change. We’ve been toying with the idea of him moving into the ‘media room’ for months, and a few weeks ago, on a whim, we finally did it!

Hello friends! How was your weekend? Ours was good. Slow, but good. I got lots of cleaning and laundry done, made another chocolate chip banana bread, had a big spaghetti dinner on Sunday, and just chilled in the backyard. I’m so very thankful for my home, especially now that we are here 24/7.
Over the years, we’ve gotten many of the rooms to a place we are really happy with. You can see everything in my Decor tab, but Jordan’s playroom, my bedroom and James’ room are places we’ve recently spruced up.

Since the kids didn’t have school yesterday, we ran some errands, had a friend over, and picked out some surprise balloons for Jordan’s birthday today! I literally cannot believe this girl is four years old. I feel like she’s growing up before my very eyes and it’s going so, so fast!
Today, we’ll take #4 cookies to her classroom and then have a small celebration at home with a homemade cake.
