Come Inside, Our Christmas Home Tour!
Hi friends! Happy Friday! I hope you had a good week and are looking forward to the weekend. I have a few plans, including house chores, shopping, and I want to start wrapping too. The house projects include doing paint touch ups in my office, James’ room and bathroom, and in the playroom. It’s one of those things that’s been on my to-do list forever, and I’m finally ready to tackle it! I already patched the holes, now I just need to paint.
If you missed it this week, I shared a brand new Amazon post with the cutest Christmas shirts (and best Cyber Monday sales), a gift guide with everything under $25, the best sales, and my favorite cozy pieces (including what I’m giving my mom this year).
CHRISTMAS HOME TOUR
Today, I’m taking you on a Christmas tour of our home. I started decorating before Christmas because I love it so much, but also because it takes me forever to finish! In fact, I’m still playing around with things and still have the dining room to decorate.
This year was so much easier since I’d created the holiday closet and had everything all organized. Even as I was decorating this year, I donated several items I didn’t love or hadn’t displayed for the past couple of years.
It feels really good to just have the things in your home that you really like or that have special meaning.
Sweater • Jeans • Booties • Wreaths • Star Necklace • Bracelet
Let’s start with the front porch, I kept it super simple with just two wreaths, a little tree and Christmas door mat. The nutcracker is from Hobby Lobby and ended up living inside, and the tree is from Home Goods.
Merry Christmas Door Mat • Checkered Mat
Isn’t the red sweater festive?! And it’s actually really soft – from Amazon. It’s gotten so cold in Houston, so we’re all happily wearing our sweaters and boots.

Foyer
When you come inside, just inside the dining room are our family tile letters and I moved the little table that was where our tree sits to this corner.
And in the foyer are the tall nutcrackers and a little bowl that our elf jumped into on Day 3. I like to hang wreaths on the mirrors. I just use the suction cup hangers and they work perfectly!
I know some of you long-time followers might remember James as a baby- I’m pretty sure that picture of him on the mirror was on my blog about 9 years ago!
This is the Advent calendar that Jordan dubbed, “boring”. It has little sentiments inside each day and things to do as a family. She prefers the LOL Advent calendar that has chocolate inside!
Jordan’s Playroom
We added just a few Christmas touches to Jordan’s playroom. Couple of pink Christmas trees were perfect for this little girl who loves that color.
We were able to keep the buffet cabinet that arrived damaged for my dining room, so it makes ample storage for Jordan’s big toys.
I have the kids’ Christmas photos and photos with Santa framed and we’ve got two blank frames ready for pictures this year.
I fell in love with this Dr. Seuss framed art I found at Hobby Lobby. It’s really cool because the images have dimension to them- and there’s a naughty and nice- perfect for my daughter!
Christmas Tree
Puff Sleeve Tee • Jeans • Slippers • Tree • Similar Train
Just around the corner is our 10-foot tall Christmas tree. I feel like this spot was made for a tree this size! The tree is by King of Christmas and it’s my favorite tree ever – aside from the fact that I bought it unlit- I won’t do that again! Last year, I spend forever stringing lights on every branch! Luckily, all the cords fit together again this year and it wasn’t too much of a hassle!
I started wrapping the tree with ribbon, but ran out! Isn’t that how it goes?! And I haven’t made it a priority to get more yet.

LIVING ROOM
Frosted Garland • Green Truck • Similar Deer • White Houses
Of course, we spend lots of time in the living room, and I’m crazy for the mix of white and green this year.

Amazon Candlesticks • Frosted Garland
You saw these candlesticks on my Thanksgiving table. They come with the real wax candle and gold base, but they are battery operated! You’ll need 2 AAA batteries for each, and you just push the lighted part down to turn them on. They also come with a little remote so you can operate them with the touch of a button!
You’ll get a pack of 6 in an order and they look so good on the table! I also appreciate how the candle “burns” a white light, instead of orange/yellow.

See, no drippy wax or hot flame for little hands! You just push the ‘flame’ part down to turn off and on!

Standing Deer • Sitting Deer • Aspen Candle
They make such a cute little addition to my holiday decor.

Gold Tray • Mini Pine Trees in Planter
Tree • Candle • Similar Plaid Frames
The candle stand is from Bath and Body Works.

KITCHEN
I also like to decorate our kitchen! This year, we made a fun little hot cocoa bar next to the coffee machine.
Pajamas • Slippers • Cocoa Bar Essentials • 3-Tiered Stand • Sign • Similar Tree • Mug • Candle • Jura Coffee Maker

Similar Red Carafe • Handsome Mug • Beautiful Mug • North Pole Sign • Similar Wooden Tray • Similar Matchsticks

Target Vases • Similar Branches with Berries

Marble Lazy Susan • S&P Shakers • White Knife Set • Wooden S&P Mills • Bird

Pottery Barn Vases • Picture Frames
I finally got the stockings I bought last year monogrammed! They look so cute with everyone’s name on them! We have lots of stockings, but they didn’t all fit on this Merry Christmas stocking holder. It’s from Target, but I think it sold out. 🙁

MASTER BEDROOM
I’m so crazy for how a room looks at night with the Christmas tree all lit up. I have a tree in my room and Jordan’s (but forgot to get a pic of hers!). James said he didn’t want a tree because it took up too much space in his room, so he has his Christmas sheets on his bed.
My tree is full of pinks and blue, to go with the wreath in the sitting room that I found at Home Goods.
Pullover • Jeans • Christmas Tree • Gift Boxes

Similar Lighted Garland • Similar Large Snowmen • Similar Small Snowman
Isn’t it funny how little things like these snowmen just put a smile on your face?! I’m feeling relieved that the decor is pretty much done and it’s only the first week of December, still LOTS of time to enjoy it!
I still need to decorate our dining room, so I’ll share that room in a separate post soon. Below is the black and white theme I came up with for Thanksgiving, and I do think it works equally well for Christmas too.
Black Charger • Dinner Plates • Eucalyptus Garland • Thankful Napkins • Napkin Rings • Stripe Table Runner • Goblets • Gold Flatware • Tall Candlesticks • Thankful Platter • Water Glasses • Faux Pumpkins
But, I’m going with a tartan theme this year, inspired by this tablecloth. I think it’s going to look very merry and festive!
I hope you enjoyed a peek inside our holiday home! I’m only bummed that I didn’t get any pictures of the kids inside! Have you decked your halls yet?

Have a fantastic weekend friends!
I love that hot cocoa corner and that Christmas sweater, your house is amazing and not only on this time of the year!!!
Oh thank you so, so much Giulia! I really appreciate you being here!
The house looks gorgeous! Would you mind sharing where you purchased the pink bottle brush trees on top of the play kitchen set? So CUTE!!
Hi Caitlin! Those are from Target about 4 years ago! I think I had them since before she was born!
HWH…..gorgeous! I’ve got the Camo sneakers in my basket! I hate to ask about the one thing you didn’t link, I try to refrain as I know how much work these posts are. I am obsessed with the wreath on the mirror with the trees!! Where did you buy it??
Hi Heather! Isn’t that wreath cute?! I got it at Homegoods or TJ Maxx, but couldn’t find it online. 🙁
Your home and decorations look gorgeous! Question for you…I am painting the backs of my built-ins navy blue this weekend. Looks like yours are painted nay as well. Do you remember the name of the color you used? I really like it!
Christina
Mine are Urbane Bronze by Sherwin Williams, more grey/brown than navy if that helps!
I enjoyed so much the Christmas tour of your home! I was sipping my coffee while perusing your pics and having a lovely moment looking at your lovely home. Thanks so much for sharing your home and your heart! I have enjoyed your blog for years…
Aww, I love this so much Dawn! Hope you have a great weekend!
I love a Christmas home tour and yours is beautiful as always! Your “boring” advent calendar made me LOL!! Have a wonderful weekend!
Isn’t she funny?! 😉
Looks so beautiful and festive. My kids would have loved the hot chocolate corner when they were younger. I agree, there’s nothing more comforting than xmas lights in the evening. Enjoy your weekend.
Wow everything is just gorgeous! I’m exhausted just looking, how long does this take you to put up and take down. I’d love to see how you store everything and where it goes, maybe after the new year that could be a post:)
It takes forever! Ha! Probably a couple weeks all together! Here’s my post about where I’m storing everything! I’m so happy to have this space!
