Good morning friends! I’m so glad to hear that yesterday’s Fall Style 3 Ways post was helpful to you! I really like putting those outfits together, so I’m happy to do more in the future! Today, I have a new Work Weekend Wow post, along the same lines as yesterday, but with one hero piece, a pink blazer! Here’s how to wear a pink blazer for three different occasions; work, weekend and a night out (wow!).
HOW TO WEAR A PINK BLAZER: WORK. WEEKEND. WOW
Today’s featured piece is the stylish J. Crew Dover Blazer. It’s one of those items that never goes out of style and is versatile for so many occasions. I’m sharing the pink one today (it also comes in navy, grey, and black) because I love the unexpected, feminine color.
The pink is a gorgeous, and the structured cut balances out the sweet hue. The jacket is double breasted, and I like how it looks worn unbutton and with the sleeves ruched. Plus, there’s an inner pocket for storing little goodies, if needed.
During the Nordstrom Sale, this blazer is marked down from almost $200 to $131! It fits TTS, I’m wearing 00. The sleeves are a tad long on me when worn down.
PINK BLAZER FOR WORK OUTFIT
For this work, we’re letting the blazer shine with a simple black ankle pant and comfortable, cool shell tank. I’ve spiced it up with leopard heels and added a bold layered link necklace in shiny gold. And since the necklace makes a statement, I wore small stud earrings so they wouldn’t compete.
If I still worked in an office, these black ankle pants would definitely be on repeat all year long. They are chic and simple and look great with both heels and flats.
PANTS FIT: TTS, they come in regular and petite and I’m wearing 00P. 0P (my regular size) would fit better in the waist- sizing down made them tight on me.
The ivory satin tank blouse that is both sophisticated and relaxed. I like this type of blouse for work because it’s office appropriate (if your job allows bare arms) and also keeps you cool during the hot months. It comes in lots of different solid colors.
Blouse Fit: TTS, wearing XSP
PINK BLAZER WEEKEND OUTFIT
Here’s to the weekend, right?! This is actually the restaurant we went to last Friday night that was so happening. It’s called the Bungalow and isn’t the patio cute?! Wait till you see inside for the Wow look!
I love how the pink blazer makes this simple jeans and tank outfit look smart. I’m also wearing this lip color on my lips and this palette on my eyes. Both are included in the Nordstrom Sale. I’ll be sharing more beauty favorites tomorrow.
For a weekend, you can definitely have more fun with statement earrings. This pair is actually quite light, even though they’re on the longer side.
This tank is one of my Everyday Faves. I have it in white, black and grey and rotate them all the time. They are really long, so I cut mine to make it shorter. It’s a raw hem, so an easy trim. I also like the thin ribbed material, scoop neck and racerback style. I wear mine alone with jean shorts now, and come Fall, they’ll be layered under cardigans and sweaters.
TANK FIT: TTS, I’m wearing size XS
Y’all know I’m crazy for these bootcut jeans that give you legs for days! I mean, seriously, I didn’t think a jean could be more comfortable and yet slimming. I wear skinny jeans so often (remember when they first came out and we were all scared of skinnies?!?!) , so now, it’s a nice change to bust out the bootcut.
STYLE TIP: Tuck your top in or wear a shorter top for the most leg lengthening effect. Also, a pointy toe shoes will give a similar effect.
JEANS FIT: TTS, but they stretch over time, so I recommend sizing down. I’m wearing 00P.
PINK BLAZER WOW OUTFIT
Okay friends, time to get sassy for a night out! I scored this midi dress for only $42! It’s double lined to keep you all snug and the midi length is is sleek and slimming. I noticed sizes were going fast, so this one ($56) and this one ($88) are similar options.
The blazer will keep you warm while adding sophistication and a pop of color to your outfit. But, you can always shed it when the night heats up or you want to dance!
DRESS FIT: TTS, wearing XXS. I washed and dried it in the dryer so it would shrink a tad and liked the fit better after that.
This is where Jordan and I sat last weekend, when there was nowhere else to sit! She was on my lap and is always content, as long as she has something good to eat!
Now we’re looking forward to coming back on a real date night, sans kids!
I hope you liked this post on how to wear a pink blazer, friends! Sometimes I wonder if three styled outfits in one post is too much, but I like giving you options! What do you think? Are you still enjoying the Work Weekend Wow series?
