Hi friends!! Every day I’m feeling better and better which reminds me to never take our health for granted! We tend to do that sometimes, right?! When everything is going great, we don’t think about it. But when we feel bad, it’s like the world is falling apart! I feel like I’m finally accepting that I’m one of those people that just needs extra cushion when I travel. Aside from getting sick, it always stresses me out all the planning and preparing for the trip and then the extra work and catching up when you get home. I admire people who can get up and go so much more easily than I can! Which type are you??
Today is Part 2 of my latest Work • Weekend • Wow series and I’m showing you how to style a white blazer with shorts and jeans. If you’ve never owned a white blazer, I urge you to give it a second thought! Especially this time of year, you might be surprised at how many opportunities you have to throw it on to dress up your outfit. If you missed it, check out How to Style Your White Blazer for Work here.
The white blazer I’m recommending is great quality, well-tailored, and has three-quarter sleeves with a tiny bit of ruching that makes it extra special. And it’s under $80! The blazer also comes in navy and black and you can see how I styled the navy blazer with white jeans here. It runs TTS, I’m wearing XS.
But, the blazer isn’t just for work, you can easily wear it with skirts, over dresses and with shorts and jeans!
HOW TO STYLE A WHITE BLAZER WITH SHORTS
You might not think to wear a blazer and shorts together, but especially when the fabrics coordinate, it definitely works! Think of adding a blazer like adding a jean jacket, but with the blazer making the outfit a little dressier than a jean jacket.
I like these navy shorts because they are comfortable and easy to wear with an elastic waist and pockets. The pink, yellow and white in the embroidery makes it a snap to add a top in one of those colors.
FIT: The shorts run a little big, I’m wearing XXS.
At $29, I’m tempted to buy one of these tanks in every color and pattern available! I like them worn alone or layered under a jacket or cardigan. It’s got a swingy/flowy shape and not too short.
FIT: TTS, I’m wearing XS, which fits perfectly.
I hope y’all aren’t sick of seeing me carry this wooden bag! It’s been out for awhile now, but I just got mine and I’m smitten! It’s a dupe for the pricey designer bag and I found it for a steal! Mine is the small, which is perfect for a petite frame!
These wedges are definitely a Must Have! Everyone was wearing them at the blog conference, and for good reason- they are comfy and cute! I wore them instead of heels most days and my feet were happy campers! The black pair is in my cart right now!
HOW TO STYLE A WHITE BLAZER WITH JEANS
For a night out, your white blazer looks chic (and keeps you warm) with a tank and bootcut jeans that give you legs for days. The scallop detail on the cami makes it sassy and sweet!
The scallop trim on this camisole sets it apart and makes it unique. I’m seeing lots of scallops on shorts too- and that added detail is what makes things special. I like it with a mini front tuck with jeans, but it also looks fine untucked.
FIT: TTS, wearing size 2US (fits like 0)
My date night uniform is a cute top with jeans and heels, but a statement necklace or one like this multistrand Y necklace always stands out! A v-neck top will really show it off! This is one necklace that always draws tons of compliments!
You guys know I’m crazy for these bootcut jeans that give you legs for days! I found them last year and they are still a favorite! The darker wash dresses them up and might even make them doable on casual Friday. It’s really the cut and fit that is so amazing though.
FIT: These stretch out as the day goes on, so I’d recommend sizing down 1. I’m wearing 0P.
STYLE TIP: To get the most leg-lengthening effect with your bootcut jeans, wear a slim top tucked in and pointy-toe shoes!
I made a pinnable graphic if you want to add it to your pin board for future reference! I’d be honored! And if you want to follow me on Pinterest, I’m @honeywerehome.
Have a fantastic day, friends!!
