Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Last Chance & BEAUTY PICKS

Welcome to the weekend friends!  Are you like me and soooo happy it’s Friday?!  I have lots of errands and organizing to do today and then Sunday, I’ll be heading to LA for a special trip that I can’t wait to share with you!  It’s something exciting and completely different from anything I’ve done before.  I have to wait until tomorrow to share the news, so check my Weekend Newsletter or follow me on Stories for the reveal and some behind-the-scenes peeks!! #itsgonnabegood! 

This weekend is the last weekend to partake in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale!  On Monday, the 40% off sale prices end and everything goes up to full price.  #boo #wehatefullprice  

Lots of the top things sold out super quickly, BUT, there are still several great items you can snag before the prices go up on Monday! I got an updated list from Nordstrom and then scoured the site to see what was still available that you would want.  My notes below are as of yesterday, but you can continue to check the site because sometimes returns come in and you might get LUCKY!

First up, gotta talk undies and bras because that’s what friends are for! 😉

Prettiest T-Shirt Bra –  The lace overlay on this bra is thin, so it won’t show through your t-shirts.  It comes in sizes 30A-34G and offers just the right amount of lift and support.  The bra runs small though, so you may want to size up.

Perfect No Underwire Bra – THE most comfortable bra of all time. And it still offers support!

Pretty Thongs –  For your sassy side, these thongs come in a rainbow of 21 colors and are great even under tight workout pants or leggings because they don’t show a thing!

5 colors, limited sizes left. I like the circle shape at the bottom because it doesn’t cut you off in a straight line visually.  They are calling it a “ribbed shawl cocoon sweater” and I have to say, it does have a cozy cocoon feel to it! I’m wearing it here with jeans and boots, but it looks great over dresses as well. It’s on the light weight side and has a thin ribbed texture to it.  It comes in 5 colors, and the pale pink and teal surf are fun for Summer too!

Come fall, we’ll all be wanting to throw on our lived in plaid button down tops.  They’re a workhorse in your closet because they can be worn alone (tucked, tied or untucked), with a vest, cardigan or jacket and work well with jeans, leggings, and skirts!  I like to get a few in different colors, but of course the black and white stood out to me.  It’s also super soft!

Ribbed Tank

It’s more of a button down shirt fit with a pleat in the back and relaxed fit.  It’s one of those pieces that’s versatile for throwing over a top when it’s chilly, but not downright cold.  It also comes in camo!

BLANKNYC Drape Jacket $90 $59

Well stocked in black. This jacket looks 100% better on than it does on the hanger.  It’s so super soft and drapes beautifully in an effortlessly chic way. You can also fasten it at one side to wear it closed.  It will look fantastic with leggings and boots this Fall and Winter.  You won’t believe it, but you can machine wash this jacket! And it’s under $60!

I’m a cozy junkie for sure and I really didn’t want to take this soft zip up jacket off.  As much as I wear my Patagonia pullover, I think I’d get tons of use out of this jacket during chilly weather.

Cowl Neck Tunic $79, $52 – lots of sizes/colors available

This cowl neck tunic is the best of both worlds- a soft cotton blend sweater with a slouchy cowl neck in a tunic top.  I love that the length is perfect for wearing with leggings or jeans.  You can have fun accessorizing with long necklaces and layer a 3/4 or long sleeve tee underneath. The top comes in five colors, and the pink is really pretty, but you can’t go wrong with basic black. Won’t red be especially fun during the holidays?!

Gibson Sweater $54, $35

We all loved Ali-Shaun in this jewel toned sweater.  This blouse sleeve sweater comes in lots of pretty colors – of course, I’m partial to the pale pink, grey and black, but for you blue eyed gals, there’s a bright blue that will bring out your eyes.

This camisole is extra sassy with the black lace trim, but still feminine with the floral pattern.  You can wear it alone, as pictured, or layer a sweater, cardigan or jacket on top.  It feels nice and silky on. Give it a little front tuck to elongate the look of your legs.

These sleeveless crepe jumpsuit is a knockout! It has a flattering criss-cross top with pockets and a tie belt.  Would be perfect for a night out, party or Fall wedding!

Barefoot Dreams Cardigan Grey $114 $75 – several sizes available

Of course, I love my Barefoot Dreams Cozy Cardigan so much that I wanted to try this hooded version.  It’s as soft as cozy as the original, but with a boxier cut, as opposed to the circle hem. It’s still equally as good, and I definitely didn’t want to take it off.

You guys, this teddy bear fleece is beyond!  It literally feels like you gave yourself a fluffy teddy bear hug! The inside has a super soft t-shirt lining and it comes in three colors, including a blush pink!

These are the best mid to low-rise jeans and they’re budget friendly at only $41 with lots of sizes still available! They have amazing stretch and are a bit longer in length, so we cuffed ours.

 Vince Camuto Movinta Booties $150 $99 – RESTOCKED in all sizes!

Of course I beeline for boots and booties every year.  This cone shaped bootie with a v-cut front made my list of “Must Haves.” That little V is magic for elongating your leg line and letting a little bit of ankle peek through.  They are flattering on everyone, but especially on us shorties.  I bought them in black and tan. They’re also quite comfortable and the cone heel is fashion forward.

BOOTS FIT: I sized up half because they run narrow.

Vince Camuto Pestiva Bootie  $149, $99 – RESTOCKED

This was my favorite low-heeled, almost flat bootie in the sale. It’s got a rounded toe and moto inspired stitching on the sides with a cute cutout to show some ankle.  If you want to wear socks, a low profile or ‘no show’ sock will still work and be undetected. The “foxy suede” is closest to taupe and a great neutral.

We both really loved the waterproof booties.  Not only are they stylish with a modern block heel, they’re ultra comfortable with lots of cushion inside.  They fit TTS.

ACTIVEWEAR

You guys know I love my activewear!  Let’s start with the Zella leggings because they are a Must Have in your workout wardrobe.  They are great quality, last forever, and feel amazing on.  Depending on your preference, you can get crop, midi or long length, high waist or mid-rise, in lots of color options.

I’m partial to this crop grey legging and the moto style.

As for sports bras, the Fiona Sports Bra $50, $32 & Brooks Juno Bra $65, $42 are my favorite for running.  They keep the girls in place so you’ll never have to double up on sports bras again. The shoulder straps are thicker and padded so they don’t cut into your shoulders or hurt while you’re wearing it. And they are adjustable with velcro, so you can lengthen them or shorten as necessary.

FIT:  Sized according to your bra size with hook and eye closures in the back so you can get a very accurate and comfortable fit.  I find they run TTS.  I wear a 34D bra, and I buy 34D in this sports bra.

BEAUTY TOOLS

FOREO LUNA  $178, $119

This cute little device is the alternative to the Clarisonic because you don’t have to change out any brush.  It’s an antimicrobial (won’t harbor bacteria) silicone brush you use to clean your face with or without cleanser.  And you can keep it in your shower or use the smaller one for travel. I got this for my Mom!

GLOPRO MICRONEEDLER $269, $169

Micro-needling treatment is a procedure that uses a bunch of tiny needles to puncture the very first layer of skin. This process works to rejuvenate your skin by boosting collagen production, which in turn reduces the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, and elevates the overall texture of your skin.

The microneedling tool in this set has 540 surgical stainless-steel microneedles that roll over your skin.  Then, the rejuvenation process begins immediately as your cells respond to thousands of imperceptible microchannels by creating new collagen and restoring skin’s volume. When used immediately before your skin care products, it provides passageways for your skin care products to dive directly down to the deepest layers of the skin.

After getting a demo at Nordstrom, I bought it for myself.  I’ve only used it twice, so I can’t say I’ve seen results yet, but my Mom had it done at the dermatologist’s office and noticed a huge difference in the appearance of her skin.  Her acne scars, wrinkles and dark spots improved dramatically.  It’s recommended to use this tool 2-3 times a week, so I’ll keep using it and report back!

MAKEUP SETS + PALETTES

NORDY GIRL FACE & EYE PALETTE $202, $54

MAC has been one of my favorite brands since my early 20s!  This palette has gorgeous neutral eyeshadows in matte finishes, and an eyeliner and mascara.

MAC LIPSTICK & GLOSS $20, $17

This pale pink “Such a Millenial” is fresh and pretty.  MAC lipsticks have great pigment, last a long time and don’t taste funny!  Their glosses are nice and shiny!

CHARLOTTE TILBURY LIPSTICK SET $90, $60

This trio of two lipsticks and a lip liner is gorgeous on!  This lipstick has a long-lasting, buildable, hydrating formula featuring 3D glow pigments to create the illusion of lips that appear wider and fuller.  It also has an ingredient that naturally protects lips from UV damage.

JUMPSUIT

And, one of my favorite jumpsuits in the sale is still available. It looks great on everyone I’ve seen it on! I love the vibrant red, but it also comes in black and cobalt blue. ?? It’s made of comfortable, stretchy crepe material with pockets and a faux tie belt.
