I’m looking forward to the holiday weekend and I’m continuing the red, white and blue 4th of July theme (see the red look yesterday) with one of my favorite colors for summer and year round- white! If you look inside my closet, white and grey are probably the most prominent colors you’ll find, but with those neutrals, you can dress them up with any color. Y’all saw both this white peplum tank and white eyelet dress with adorable tassels in my latest Dressing Room post, but today, I’m styling them up for the weekend with some fun accessories.
This top is bright and fresh for summer and the peplum style is very figure flattering since it nips in at the waist. Because the eyelets are big, you’ll need to wear a tank or something underneath to hide your bra- I chose a white bandeau top. The shirt runs big, I’m in XSP- 5’1, 105 here. I like it so much, I considered getting it in another color, but the white is still my favorite. With the other colors, you’d probably be best off wearing a nude tank underneath.
I made this look 4th of July festive by pairing the white top with dark blue skinny jeans and red heels. The heels are a great basic and I have them also in yellow and nude. You’ll definitely get a ton of use out of the nude pair, so I highly suggest adding those to your closet if you don’t already have a nude heel you love.
The red reversible tote adds another pop of color and the cheapie $12 red and blue striped sunglasses were a playful find. I don’t know why I’m such a sucker for silly sunglasses. The pair I got are particularly suited for petites because the frames are pretty tight on my head- I actually wouldn’t recommend them for everyday because they aren’t the most comfortable. I’ve been waiting for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale to stock up on some new sunglasses. Last year, I bought this Kate Spade pair, and they have been a great investment. They are my most comfortable and the ones I reach for most often when I’m driving. This pair is similar for only $12, and has good reviews.
The next outfit is one of my faves! #shesaysthatabouteverything! #guilty! But really, it is!
Seriously, how freaking fun is this white eyelet dress with not only sweet bell sleeves, but mini tassels at the bottom?!
I kept this look neutral with those nude heels I was telling you about above and added a blingy statement necklace and wide cuff bracelet.
These sleeves kill me! So pretty! The body of the dress is lined, so you don’t have to worry about undergarments peeking through.
I’m 5’1 and wearing 0P in this dress, but it also comes in regular sizes.
Are you all about white this summer too? What are y’all doing for 4th of July?!
