A Pink Christmas : Gift Guide for the Girlie Girl

Is it starting to feel festive at you house too?  Thanks for you sweet comments on our dining room holiday decor (such a bummer that the foyer table is currently sold out, but it goes in and out of stock often if you’re considering it). I can’t wait to share our pretty tree with you soon! I shared a nighttime shot on my Instagram recently, but I want to take some bright photos to share.  That area of our house is hard to photograph and the weather has been pretty dark lately, so I’m waiting for a time when the good light and a break in my day coincide to photograph it!
Our days have been colder here lately too, which is fine by me, because it means I get to bust out some of my warmer, cozy knits like this pink ‘cocoon’ cardigan and soft plaid scarf!  They don’t call it a cocoon cardi for nothing, it’s feels like you’re wrapped in one too!

I’m only 5’0, so this cardi may not be so long on you.  I’m wearing XS, but, because it’s longer in the back, it would work perfectly with leggings.

The scarves are what I’m really loving wearing lately!  Since most of my tops are solids, I like to add pattern and interest to my outfits with a scarf.

This scarf is one of those large, 56″ square scarves that folds perfectly around your neck with a v-shape in the front and then the two loose ends dangling casually on the sides.

My last ‘bump update’ was at 20 weeks, and I’m 26 weeks now.  So far, this pregnancy is moving pretty quickly, but I have a feeling that January and February are going to drag on.  Our baby girl is due early March.  My maternity tank is super old (like 6 years ago when I was pregnant with James), but I saw good reviews for this one.

And, it was Happy Anniversary to me (thanks hubby;) for my new Kate Spade bag.  I’ve wanted a light pink bag ever since I learned I was expecting a girl, and I love this one! It’s got two large zipper compartments on the side and then also opens in the middle, so it’s really functional.  Also, I’m picky about straps and like that these fit on your shoulder, or you can carry in your hand or at the elbow. Such a classic bag I know I’ll carry for years to come.
It’s the same bag I mentioned here when I told you I got a price adjustment from Nordstrom since it went on sale shortly after he, I bought it.

This post is perfect timing since Nordstrom invited me to share my favorite Kate Spade items with you, and I created a Gift Guide for the Girlie Girl in your life.  And it’s okay, really, if that girlie girl is you! 😉

  1. I really like the pink handbag. I'm petite like you and so many bags overwhelm me, but this looks like a perfect size. Plus, I like the two zippers on top. Last year my wallet was stolen right out of my tote with a snap closure so I'm extra careful now.

    You look great in pink!

  2. Oh my gosh, Kate Spade is my dream/nightmare!! I am obsessed with everything they make. (My husband does not always share that enthusiasm–neither does my bank account, lol.) Thanks for the great post!

    1. I can relate! But, at least Kate Spade is great quality that lasts for years. Tell your hubby you're saving money in the long run! That may not work though! 😉
