Chic Holiday Style | Talbots New Winter Arrivals

Chic Holiday Style | Talbots New Winter Arrivals
I popped into Talbots last week and can’t wait to share with you what I found!
Talbots pieces have a perfect blend of sophistication, comfort and style – perfect for winter and the holidays. In the past, I’ve viewed Talbots as style for an older generation, but as a woman still in her 40s, I’ve found several pieces I really like there!
I’d say their range of clothing is probably suited for women in their 30s and above, with sophisticated classic styles that appeal to a more mature demographic or younger women who appreciate timeless styles.
Talbots offers a broad range of inclusive sizes, including plus and petite, which is so helpful for many of us. Their elegant, well tailored clothing is great for work to weekend, and special occasions.
My favorite Ikat dress and ruffled tank top is from last year’s Spring line.
I was SO IMPRESSED with these jeans! They are a barely bootcut style with a dark wash, high waist and oh so comfortable. My true size is 0P, but they didn’t have that available, so I tried on the 2P and they fit really well. I am a little afraid they’ll stretch some, so I’m going to pop them in the dryer when I wash them.
All that to say, order your true size in the jeans.

The plaid top is so festive for the holidays! I love the pop of red and how well tailored this shirt is!

Doesn’t it look so cute with this cardinal cardigan?! My mom is a huge fan of cardinals, so this piece has special meaning for me.

I’m loving the faux pearl and rhinestone embellishment on this sweater! When I walked out of the dressing room, several women were oohing and ahhing over it!
The sweater looks great worn casually with jeans, but you could make it a party look by adding a fun skirt of festive pair of party pants.

This zip front collar sweater is cozy and chic. I like how it looks with the popular Soho leggings.

The leggings are perfect for wearing as pants because the fabric is like a ponte knit (rayon/nylon/spandex) that doesn’t pull or wrinkle. They have a comfortable stretchy waistband and slimming fit.

Oh my gosh, this faux fur coat is FABULOUS!! I literally did not want to take it off, it was that soft and cozy! It’s the perfect layer for when you’re more dressed up or just want to feel luxurious. It snaps closed in the front with double front pockets. So gorgeous!!

I’m wearing the jacket with the Talbots high waist straight leg jeans. They do taper a little at the ankle, but they have more breathing room than your traditional skinny jean. I loved how these fit with the high waist.
I found my New Year’s Eve top! Isn’t it cute with the champagne glasses and sparkly rhinestones?! Dress it up with this maxi skirt.

By the way, I didn’t get a close up picture of the heels that I’m wearing, but I really liked them. I usually opt for a more pointy toe heel, but this rounded heel with the little bow detail was so cute! And the lower chunkier heel was easy to walk in.
If you like a longer tunic sweater, this one packs a punch with the shiny metallic thread running throughout.

Ah, this pullover is also so cute! I love the fit, style, colors festive snowflakes and Christmas trees!

If you love a monochromatic look, this outfit is for you! I love how it can work for your next holiday party, but it’s so comfy because it’s jeans and a sweater!
The jeans are a straight leg style with a fun side sequin stripe down the leg. The top has a tinsel dot texture.

This metallic puffer vest comes with a detachable faux fur collar, definitely amps up your warm holiday look. I really like how it looks with this cream/gold outfit.

I wanted to give a special shout out to the associate who helped me at the store. Heidi helped style me and choose pieces in my size.
Although I usually shop online due to pure convenience, I will say the in-store shopping experience was such a nice change!
I’d bet you do more online shopping too, but tell me if I’m wrong.
