DRESSING ROOM | NEW STYLES FROM LOFT & NORDSTROM
Size Reference: I’m short (5’1) and petite, weighing about 110 lbs and athletic build. I typically wear size 0p/25 jeans, XSP/XS in tops and dresses.

I’m crazy for these wide leg pants! They’re cute and comfy and easy to wear with a smocked waist and gorgeous light “teal mist” color. They had a long drawstring that I didn’t feel was necessary, so I cut it off.
There’s so many ways to style these pants and they also come in black and tan.
The top is definitely a ‘wear with high waist pants’ but also so cute with the smocked waist, flutter sleeves and petite florals. The top has a small snap closure to keep it from coming open.

If you prefer a longer top, this peplum style is equal parts flirty and flattering. It’s a smocked bodice with a flutter sleeve. The floral print is Spring friendly and the colors look great with blue jeans too.

This chambray blue top is the solid to the floral print one I showed you above. That color blue always looks great with white jeans or shorts. Such a crisp, classic look.
These white jeans are a great new find. I like the comfortable high waist on them and the fun frayed hem on the bottom.

Here’s a Summer take on your traditional light blue button down top. This one is a lightweight linen blend, perfect for a Summer picnic or even at work. It also comes in yellow and pink.

I really like how fresh and easy to wear this top is. The more billowy silhouette balances out the slender skinny jean. The top is fully lined with a square neck, beautiful crochet detail and flouncy hem.

I had to get this top as a nod to my fisherman boyfriend. This little cami has tiny fish on it! You can wear it alone or layered under a blazer or jean jacket. I’m wearing it with my NYDJ ankle jeans that have a cute side slit. This is definitely a go-to pair of white jeans in Spring and Summer!

When you want to be as comfortable as wearing your favorite tee, but also want to look like you went to some effort, this top is a perfect choice. The crochet detail gives it a more special feel, but it’s as easy to wear as a soft tee. I also like the sleeve detail and how it doesn’t expose your bra.

Here’s the sister to that green flouncy top above. It’s the same style in a fresh, all white color. Relaxed and easy to wear, the crochet detail makes it look dressier and, it’s fully lined.

I’ve been eyeing these Kut from the Kloth shorts and also hearing great reviews about them. I also really liked the casual style, high waist and easy feel. They’re a perfectly relaxed cutoff style in a light wash.
Jean Shorts Fit: I’m wearing size 0 and they were big on me. If you’re in between sizes, I’d go down. But, keep in mind, denim tends to shrink with washing and the true size is meant to fit relaxed.

DRESSES
This is the same floral pattern we saw in the short flutter sleeve tee in the first picture, but in a dress!

If you’re tall, this shift dress will be short on you. I’m 5’1 and it’s hitting me a few inches above the knee. It’s a pretty light aqua color “sea mist” and has a lovely texture to it as well as a slightly puffed sleeve and v-neck. Several colors to choose from.

I’m so smitten with this maxi dress in such a gorgeous magenta red floral pattern. With a heel, it’s hitting right to the floor.

And for those of you that dare to wear all red, this dress is for you! Isn’t it pretty and vibrant?! I tied the front shoulder straps behind my neck in a halter style, and tucked the back straps into the dress. Just another way you can wear the straps if you don’t like them tied on your shoulders.

I found your next tropical vacay dress! Isn’t this a fun print?! And the buttons are functional all the way down.

I liked this dress so much that I wore it the day that I tried on all of these outfits. Usually, after a try on session, I’ll be reaching for something like my Viori joggers, but this dress was so cute and comfy, that I opted for it.
It’s a soft t-shirt material and looks great unbelted or belted. It would also be a great teacher outfit.

The farmer’s market called! Isn’t this a lovely outfit for a trip to pick up your locally grown fruits and veggies? The dress is fully lined with a grey stripe detail and tiny peach embroidered florals.

And now I’m off to prepare for our Mother’s Day brunch this Sunday. It’ll be the first time all of my family is at our new house together for the first time. We’re all bringing things to eat and my mom is bringing mimosas. I’m really looking forward to it!
