Hi friends and happy weekend! I’m less than one week out from a Mexico getaway with Brian! I’m pinching myself that we’re even going! I can’t help but think back to when I was going through my divorce compared to where I am now emotionally and it feels like a lifetime ago. In 2019, I really never dreamed that in two years, I’d have a wonderful man in my life and we’d be going on vacation!
Let me remind you of one of my favorite sayings, “If you’re going through hell, keep going!” 😉
Of course we are taking all the necessary safety precautions, including getting covid tests before we go and return. I’ll unplug while we’re there, but will be sure to share the trip with you when we get back!
It feels like January flew by, we’re already at the end of the time and it’s time for January Rewind, a look at the top sellers of the month, and I’m giddy to announce this month’s Loves winner!
JANUARY TOP SELLERS
I always love seeing what y’all are interested in, and here’s what topped your list for January.
JANUARY FASHION FAVES
I’m not surprised this LOFT poncho was so popular! It comes in both red and white and is on sale + 60% off!
Y’all went crazy for this darling puff sleeve sweatshirt. It runs slightly small and also on sale.
Gotta love Target and their great weekend tunic sweatshirt. Really loving the longer length on this one.
All my preppy lovers were fans of this argyle sweater.
These skinny crop jeans have a raw edge hem and tummy taming super powers. They run large, so size down own.
This Heart Stripe Sweater is going fast, but there are still a couple sizes left. 50% off
This Plaid Button Down comes in three colors, but I liked the navy/pink combo.
Darling shorts pajama set and 60% off!
Crazy for this long sleeve top. It’s got stripes and buttons and only $15! Was $44!
It’s all about the Shacket lately. It runs a bit large, XXS would be my size. The XS was too big.
AMAZON FASHION FAVES
We all heart Amazon and I’ve found myself relying on their fast, free shipping now more than ever!
These are the leggings I’ve been wearing daily to the gym and they’re great for all types of exercise. I run, spin, and lift weights in them!
A woman surely designed this Ponytail Hat!
This 4-pack of strechy, Skinny Belts has been a top seller for ages! I wear mine on repeat with jeans and over dresses.
This Tunic is a ‘Must Have’ for me. It’s the perfect lightweight top to throw on with jeans and leggings.
You can’t go wrong with a long sleeve Stripe Tee. This one has lots of stretch and looks great with a vest or jean jacket.
These are the High Rise Skinny Jeans I’ve been opting for most often lately. They are so dang comfortable and make you look LONG & LEAN!
There’s plenty of room in this Crossbody Bag and it comes in several colors.
The T-Shirt Dress can be worn so many ways, nearly year round, depending on your climate.
I’ll definitely be taking this Sun Hat to Mexico with me. It packs perfectly and looks so chic! Plus, it’s adjustable!
You’ll want to wear these Wide Leg Pants everyday. They look great for work with a blouse or sweater and pumps.
AMAZON HOME FAVES
I’ve found so many amazing things for my home on Amazon lately.
I guess we also like to clean in January because the Bissell Steam Mop, Folex Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner, and the Microwave Splatter Cover were all on your faves! I was also using the Magic Eraser a bunch! It even got all the dark scuff marks off of James’ white walls. We were about to do touch up paint, but after using the Magic Eraser, we didn’t have too! The walls look good as new!
I was happy to have fresh Kitchen Towels in the kitchen this year.
And lots of us needed a refresh on new pillows. I got two for James’ room and they came vacuum sealed, which always throws me off. I almost didn’t open them because by looking at them all deflated I thought, “there’s no way this will end up a fluffy pillow.” But, I opened them anyway (for research purposes alone) and to my surprise, they fluffed right up! No wonder they have over 15,000 4.5 star reviews on Amazon!
I’m so happy I decanted our cereal into these Cereal Containers. They keep the cereal fresher longer, and you can see exactly how much you have left.
Finally, this acrylic Jewelry Box has helped me keep my rings and earrings all nice and organized and dust free!
Lisbon Wants Moor by OPI • Gelous Nail Gel • Cuticle Pusher • Complete Eye Cream • Retinol Supreme Night Oil • Supergoop Sunscreen • Charlotte Tilbury Concealer • Silk Scrunchies • Anastasia Soft Glam Eyeshadow • Crest White Strips • Marc Jacobs Eyeliner • Foot Mask
Lisbon Wants Moor by OPI • My current nail color of choice- a pretty, pale pink!
Gelous Nail Coat • Being quarantined with nail salons closed down forced lots of us to do our nails at home. This gel coat gives your nails a strong smooth surface to prep your nails for painting. See how I get a perfect gel manicure at home.
Cuticle Pusher • Pushing your cuticles back is one of the first steps to gorgeous looking nails. This is the one works really well.
Complete Eye Cream • This eye cream helps smooth wrinkles and fine lines, and offers skin plumping properties under eye circles, puffiness and loss of elasticity. It’s very gentle and a little goes a long way.
I still love and use the Face Oil No. 9 often, but the Retinol Supreme Night Oil has the added benefit of regenerating your skin with a highly potent vitamin C. Like I mentioned above, Vitamin C is important for boosting collagen production and repairing skin damage due to the environment and the sun.
Supergoop Sunscreen • This sunscreen is SPF 40- invisible, weightless and scentless. It’s formulated with antioxidants that prep your skin for makeup while providing broad-spectrum protection and protection from blue light, too. It has a velvety finish that doesn’t leave my skin feeling greasy or shiny. This sunscreen contains no phthalates, parabens, petrochemicals, mineral oil, silicone and talc; also free of oxybenzone, fragrances and oils.
Charlotte Tilbury Concealer • My daily concealer, perfect for more ‘mature’ skin that makes me look fresh and awake! I use shade 2 or 3.
Silk Scrunchies • These scrunchies are a dead ringer for the ones I’ve gotten before at Anthro. I wear them during my workouts and they don’t pull or break my hair.
Anastasia Soft Glam Eyeshadow • This pallet has all the nude and pinky shades to create a natural or more dramatic eye look. The shadows are highly pigmented and blend easily.
Crest Whitestrips • And we all want whiter teeth. Crest Whitestrips really work and the new version adheres to your teeth super well.
Marc Jacobs Eyeliner • What I love about it is that it’s a gel eyeliner, so it goes on super sleek with a light hand. I apply it on my upper lash line and it makes my lashes look even more dramatic. Then, I apply a short line under my eye, then smoke it out with a thin brush. It blends beautifully. And you don’t have to sharpen it; you just twist the end and more pops up. My first one lasted forever!
Foot Mask • We all love baby smooth feet and this mask gets you there without all the nasty peeling.
Four Drawers • Nail Polish Holder • Clear Cubes • Lipstick Holder • Rose Gold Containers • Multi Purpose Holder • Rotating Storage • Drawer Organizer • Compact Organizer • Clear Canisters • Makeup Organizer • Heat Safe Storage

he capsule wardrobe I created is just an idea to get you started. It consists of 4 tops, 3 bottoms, 1 dress and 3 layering pieces – along with shoes and jewelry. With those pieces, I came up with 15 outfits! You can also add in accessories and bags to create different looks.
I included a mix of casual, casual dressy, and one sassy dress!
Seamless Hipster Undies • Striped Pullover Hoodie • Jersey V-Neck Tank • Striped Sweater • Striped Sweater • Woven Crossbody Bag • Dolman Boat Neck Tee • Ponte leggings • Girlfriend Jeans • Core-10 Workout Leggings • Jumpsuit
Seamless Hipster Undies • These comfy undies are no show and seamless, also wedgie proof. 😉
Striped Pullover Hoodie • One of our faves for year round. Wear in the winter with jeans, in the summer with cutoffs.
Jersey V-Neck Tank • Flattering cut and nice and stretchy, plus, long enough for leggings.
Striped Sweater • This is a great basic v-neck sweater that comes in several colors and patterns.
Woven Crossbody Bag • Y’all adored this Spring friendly bag. I have it in white, but it comes in a warm tan.
Dolman Boatneck Tee • Boatneck goodness here. This tee also has stretch and feels great on.
Ponte leggings • We were all crazy for these thick knit leggings that feel like pants, but fit like leggings.
Girlfriend Jeans • Another fave, this pair is stylish, yet relaxed.
Core-10 Workout Leggings • These quality leggings are moisture-wicking, medium-weight fabric with 4-way stretch and high-rise waist.
Jumpsuit • I can’t count how many times I’ve worn this jumpsuit last year. It’s great for wearing around the house, school drop off/pick up and for being comfortable and cute while out and about.
Our typical hot and humid Houston weather has turned cold and dry and my skin isn’t used to it. I’ve noticed that my skin been much drier and flaky, especially at my cheeks and on forehead. It tends to feel tight in those areas too. Whenever I need a boost of hydration to my skin, I make a ‘cocktail’ with just two ingredients.
If you’ve been here for awhile, you know that one of the ways I stay healthy and save time and energy is by prepping healthy meals each week. It doesn’t have to be a big, overwhelming thing. You simply pick a few meals to prepare, and cook them in bulk. Then, put them in individual grab and go containers that you can easily reheat when you’re ready to eat.
Kids’ Knives • Faux Eucalyptus • Faux Tulips • Softest Sheets • Folex Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner • Cork Pops Wine Opener • 2020 Christmas Ornament • Tulip Wreath • Sweater Shaver • Travel Steamer • Pantry Labels • Microwave Plate Cover • Sponge & Brush Holder
Kids’ Knives • My 4 year-old daughter loves to help me in the kitchen and these colorful nylon knives are perfect for her. I also find myself reaching for them from time to time.
Faux Eucalyptus • This faux eucalyptus garland looked even better in person and I decorated with it for Fall and Winter.
Faux Tulips • These were such a hot item and they look and feel so realistic. I ordered them in pink and white.
Softest Sheets • No surprise here because these amazing, low price/high quality sheets have topped the faves list for three years now!
2020 Christmas Ornament • This was your most favorite home decor item of 2020. It’s silly and cute and fun way to get a laugh out of this year! I bought one, did you?
Tulip Wreath • Y’all loved this wreath too! I liked mine so much I had them on my front door and in my kitchen.
Sweater Shaver • This little gadget gets all those pills off your sweaters, but also does an amazing job on upholstery.
Travel Steamer • I never travel (anymore), but when I do, I always bring this little steamer.
Pantry Labels • I loved how my pantry looked after organizing with these labels. The font is really fun.
Microwave Plate Cover • Use multiple times a day and it saves me the hassle of having to clean my microwave so often!
Sponge & Brush Holder • I think we’re all looking for a sponge solution and this is it! The suction cup holders never fall!
Even if you’re not the greatest baker (I’m not either!), these recipes are seriously so easy and tasty! One is a no-bake cheesecake you literally cannot mess up. Second, is an assemble-only salty and sweet treat. Third, we turned Rhonda’s Chocolate Chip Cookies into Valentine’s cookies by adding Valentine’s M&Ms.
Finally, you could also always go the super easy route and pick up Valentine’s themed cupcakes from Walmart. They are darling, delicious and already made!
