Good morning Monday! How was your weekend?! On Friday, I felt like I had been hit by a truck with how exhausted I was with the back-to-school logistics and emotions. It was a lot and only half a week!
Jordan might have gotten the ‘first time at school bug’ because she’s been all stuffed up and runny nose this weekend. It hasn’t dampened her spirits though, she’s still as fun and feisty as ever!
And now it’s week two of school – a full week, so we’ll see how this goes. Luckily, I spent Sunday evening getting everything prepped and ready, so hopefully this week goes smooth!
LOFT DRESSING ROOM
Today, I have a fun dressing room post with lots of great Fall and transition-to-Fall items. I shared this LOFT try-on to Stories recently, but didn’t get a chance to get it up on the blog until now.
But perfect timing because LOFT is having a huge flash sale – save $50 off your $100 purchase with code FLASH. It’s online only and ends tomorrow at 3am!
For Size Reference: I’m a shorty (5’1) and petite, athletic build (bigger legs), weighing about 110 and wear a 34D bra. I typically wear size 0P/25 jeans, XSP in tops and dresses.
LOFT
So many cute things! Let’s get to it!
Polka Dot Jumpsuit • Nude Heels | Red Dotted Cami • Distressed Jeans • Stud Slides • Wrap Bracelet
This bold red fabric with white polka dots caught my eye right away. I’m smitten with it in the jumpsuit and can’t wait to wear it out to dinner or somewhere fun! It’s fully lined, with pockets and has a comfortable elastic waist.
Jumpsuit Fit : I’m wearing XSP
The cami can be worn several different ways – with jeans as pictured or with white denim, shorts or a skirt for work. It’s also fully lined and has the same cute v-back.
Cami Fit : I’m wearing XSP
The distressed jeans are a fave because I love the darker wash and the ‘just right’ distressing in all the right places. I tend to prefer dark denim for a night out because I think it looks dressier- so I often opt for this pair.
Jeans Fit : I’m wearing 25P
Halter Peplum Top • Distressed Jeans • Sandals
A halter top is always a smart way to show off your shoulders, especially when you wear your hair up. This top is on the dressier side and would make a good work top for the hotter months if you’re allowed to bare your arms. The little keyhole is a sweet touch, but not too revealing.
Top Fit : I’m wearing size XS, prefer XSP
Striped Ruffle Halter • Distressed Jeans • Stud Slides • Hoop Earrings
I liked this halter for being a play on a t-shirt with a tee material, but cut in a halter, peplum style. It’s also got faint stripes and a darling ruffled neck.
Top Fit : I’m wearing size XS, prefer XSP
Puff Sleeve Tee • Frayed Jeans • Tie Front Cami • Sandals
The ‘misty fog’ color on these frayed skinny crop jeans is super fresh and will go with so much! They fit like a jegging, showing off a bit of ankle with a cute frayed hem.
Jeans Fit : I’m wearing size 0P, but felt like I needed to size up
I paired it with a classic white, but it would also be cute with these three tops – floral sweatshirt, pink tee, cheetah top, and mixed media floral tee.
I’m one of those women that can never have enough white tops in her closet. I love the fresh, crisp feeling they give and think they add so much light to your face! This one is cool because it’s textured almost like a terry cloth material and I dig the slightly puffed sleeves.
Top Fit : I’m wearing size XS
I’ve already worn this top a couple times since I got it, of course with my favorite jean shorts! 😉
Striped Botton Cami • Skinny Sateen Pants • Nude Heels | Similar White Jacket • Black Heels
I’ve also found myself on a cami kick lately because they are perfect for wearing alone or layering with cardigans and jackets. This one is unique with the peplum shape, subtle stripe pattern and 6-button front.
If you need a good pair of work pants, I highly recommend these! This pair fit like a glove, slimming with a narrow fit, but without any pinching or pulling. They are a cotton, rayon and spandex blend, so they have some give, but maintain their shape. I didn’t have any gaping in the waist and could also sit, stand and walk comfortably in them.
They have belt loops, so you can have fun adding a patterned belt, and they zip and hook closed at the waist, with pockets.
You can also machine wash them!
Pants Fit : I’m wearing size 0P

Lace Cami ($23) • Similar White Jacket • Pintuck Sateen Pants ($70) • Nude Heels
Another pair of pants I was impressed with was the pintuck sateen pants. I love the dark grey color (not quite as severe or serious as black), but still just as professional. The long seam down the front elongates your leg and helps it look slimmer.
Pants Fit : I’m wearing size 0P
I’ve worn this cami a ton over the summer, but for a professional look, you can add a blazer on top. The contrasting lace at the top is sassy and sweet and makes it cute enough to wear on its own, or peek underneath a cardigan.
Cami Fit : I’m wearing size XS
Striped Peplum Tee • High Waist Skinny Jeans • Stud Slides | Skinny Sateen Pants • Nude Heels
How fun is this peplum top?! I like how forgiving it is and the contrasting stripes keep it interesting.
Top Fit : I’m wearing size XS
The light wash jeans with frayed hem were a last minute grab while I was checking out. I love the color and style – a light wash with a high waist and the teensiest bit of distressing.
Jeans Fit : I’m wearing size 24, but would prefer 25P
Striped Peplum Tee • Jean Shorts • Miller Sandals
I’ve already worn this one a bunch too!
Stripe Top • High Waist Skinny Jeans • Stud Slides • Wrap Bracelet
So funny, I’m actually wearing this top right now while I write this! The top is a thin knit, nice and stretchy with a ribbed texture. It’s one of those tops I love to throw on because it easily fits the comfy + cute bill. 😉
Top Fit : I’m wearing size XSP
Ruffle Romper • Nude Heels • Wrap Bracelet
I loved this romper so much that I wore it the day I bought it to my friend Jamie’s birthday party AND I made it an August Love!
It’s perfect for summer because it’s a lightweight shorts romper, but the darker background lends itself to Fall. It’s a great length (not too short) with ruffled sleeves and flounce hem, pockets and a coordinating tie belt. You can also machine wash it!
Romper Fit : I’m wearing size XSP
I hope you liked this Loft try on! I saw so many awesome things online and tons of on-trend leopard too! I’ll be back tomorrow with a dressing room try on from Old Navy!

Have an awesome week!
Lovely post. I really liked the polka dot jumpsuit and the various camis. Can I ask what bra you recommend with cami’s? Sometimes i find strapless bras show the top line of the bra like a shelf and really aren’t the most comfortable.
Thank you for all of your great content and good luck with the transition back to school. It will get better. 🙂
Thanks so much Mary! Both of my kids said they didn’t want to go to school today! That first day of school excitement wears off quickly! I still swear by this strapless bra- it’s nearly undetectable in most of my tops and I’m wearing it in this post. https://shopstyle.it/l/66hD
Most of the kiddos are catching colds! I think the air is turned on too cold in class in comparison to the best outside. All of mine have the sniffles and one took his sweater to school so he wouldn’t freeze!
