Good Monday morning friends! Did you have a good weekend? Ours started off great with a relaxing Saturday, the first win of our son’s baseball season (woo hoo!), but Saturday night Jordan woke up sick. 🙁 Let’s just say it continued through the night with several loads of laundry and three very tired family members.
Luckily, she’s on the mend and we all went to bed early last night! That’s perfect because I was up and at ’em this morning for my 6am workout class! I was so swamped last week that I didn’t get many workouts in, so getting back at it feels amazing!
♥ OCTOBER LOVES ♥
Now that October is upon us, it’s time for another Monthly Loves with my October favorites!
If you’re new to Loves, it’s where I share things I’m loving each month, with the aim to highlight fabulous things I swear by, some things I might want to try, great deals, and under $50 finds! All perfectly appropriate for the flavor of each month! I love sourcing goodies and putting these collages together for you!
And of course, October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and tomorrow we’ll have our second Facebook LIVE with Memorial Hermann and a nutritionist to answer all of our food and diet questions. You can tune in here Tuesday at 12:30 CT for the LIVE, and if you miss it, you can catch the replay.
I bought this long cardigan in tan last year, and since then I’ve been scoping out the black and white version and waiting for it to become available in my size! It’s a thin, lightweight knit and great layering piece for mild weather. I’m quite smitten with the length for tall and short gals alike. Bonus, it has pockets!
I finally got around to making two faux hydrangea wreaths for our front door and love this adorable Hey There, Pumpkin door mat to go with it! Isn’t it the cutest way to welcome your friends and family?!
It seems like forever I’ve been wanting to get a steamer because it’s such a pain to pull out the heavy iron and ironing board to iron clothes! #amiright?! Ain’t no one got time for that! But, I was stuck over which one to order and so I just sat there stewing each time I had to iron something, vowing to get a steamer soon!
Finally, I spent a little time doing research and found this one on Amazon with over 1,200 positive reviews. I always pay attention to the reviews on Amazon because you can gain valuable insight through them. So, I ordered my little steamer and I wish I had it years ago! It’s been so freaking helpful I can’t believe I waited so long to get one!
- Small, lightweight, compact, easy to store and travel with
- Heats up fast- within 60 seconds
- Works really, really well! I order lots of clothes online and they often arrived tightly packed and terribly wrinkled. This steamer got the wrinkles out quickly and easily without damaging the clothes.
- Easy to use- just fill with water and plug in to use. Hang your clothing item then move the steamer up and down the item to get the stubborn wrinkles out
- Shuts off automatically if it overheats or runs out of water
- Comes with a one-year warranty
- $31 and FREE Prime shipping
- This might be a contender for Favorite Things this year!
- Because it’s small, it runs out of steam after about 4-5 garments. That’s okay with me because I’m not usually steaming more than that at a time, and it’s easy to just refill the water cartridge.
It’s all about leopard
lately, always, and this puffer vest gets all the heart eyes! It’s puffy goodness and really adds that pop of pattern and interest to your outfit.
I got so many compliments on these open toe leopard booties and I have to admit, I felt all kinds of fab in them! They are so super cute! This perforated open toe bootie with the same leg lengthening slit in front are darling too.
Pretty Lace Bra • 40% off
I wouldn’t be a good girlfriend if I didn’t pass on my underthing recommendations! This is the bra I wear almost daily and it’s on sale 40% off now! It isn’t wireless, but it’s so so pretty and comfortable!
I was worried that the pretty lacy overlay would show texture through a t-shirt, but it’s sheer enough to be invisible. It fits TTS, 34D for me. There’s no lumps or bumps and good lift!
Bracelet Bag • $42
This bracelet bag was in my latest Amazon Haul and was an immediate fan favorite! I wore it to dinner on Friday night to celebrate one of my oldest and dearest friend Maggie’s birthday, and the next morning got a text from my girlfriend Trisa that was there that she just ordered it!
I spent a lot of time searching around and was comparing the bag I got ($42 & Prime shipping) and this one ($105 & Prime). Ultimately, I love the one I got and feel that the quality is good. The stitching is in tact, the colors are rich and gorgeous and the handle looks expensive and not cheap. It also comes with a crossbody bag strap, so you don’t have to hold it always by the handle.
Faux Leather Pleated Skirt • Price Matched 40% Off
I think I might have squealed out loud when I saw this faux leather pleated skirt and noticed it was 40% off! It’s an amazing quality and so chic. It looks fantastic with knit sweaters, button down tops, a tee and blazer- there’s a million and one ways to style this! I hope you’re able to grab your size before it sells out!
After going to the Taylor Swift concert and having to carry my clear velcro roller bag as a purse, I came home and researched cute, clear “stadium approved” bags. This one is delightful! Not only is it lined with a little pop of leopard, it has a gold chain crossbody strap so you can be hands free at your game or concert. It’s also big enough to hold all the necessities- phone (mine is the 7+), keys, lipstick, sunglasses, etc! It’s a total YES!
You might notice my Kopari lip gloss! I’m smitten with it! I love the colors and how easily they slide on and the bit of sheer color they add. It’s been my go-to lately when I want a little bit of color, but don’t feel like wearing lipstick!
I hope you enjoyed this post! I love putting these collages together for you! And if you’ve ever wondered how I do them- I’m old school and just use PicMonkey!
Have a great week friends!
