Hi friends! Can you believe we’ll be in the last half of 2018 soon?! The fun and fabulous 4th of July holiday is almost here and if you’re like me, you like to celebrate with a casual backyard bbq, day at the pool, or mini vacay, which includes (of course) dressing for the festive occasion!
I wanted to share some cute Fourth of July outfit ideas for you all today – both casual and dressy! All sprinkled with a little red, white and blue to pay homage to our great country.
CASUAL FOURTH OF JULY OUTFITS
You can’t go wrong with jeans and a t-shirt, especially a pair this cute! And with the light blue Miller sandals- the color is called “seltzer”. I found this tee that comes in six bright solid colors, but also this pretty red, white, and soft blue striped combo. It’s stretchy and fitted, so you’ll still look put together, while being comfortable. The crewneck style looks great with a necklace. I kept it simple with my everyday Gorjana Tanner Bar necklace.
TOP FIT: runs small, wearing regular XS, but it also comes in petite
The jeans are a newer frayed hem fave in a light wash, perfect for Summer. They’ve got quite a bit of stretch to them so they’re extra comfy. They’re the pair I’ve been reaching for most often lately!

SANDALS FIT: they run small, size up half
How Americana are converse, jean shorts and a striped v-neck tee?! I had to throw in Jordan’s red Salt Waters for an extra dose of cute!
This striped tee has been a wardrobe staple for months in the navy and white, but I love the vibrancy of the red/white. Fits TTS.
The super comfy jean shorts are 40% off and keep coming in and out of stock so check back if they don’t have your size right now. They also fit TTS.
These star jean shorts are super fun and festive, without being over the top. The smattering of white stars is minimal on the front left and back right- just enough to add some pizazz. I got these red fan sandals in my latest Trunk and I’ll show you more next week! They are actually quite comfortable on and the shape is certainly unique.
Isn’t the strawberry tie-top fun?! It’s an oversized fit, so size down if you want it more fitted.
SHORTS FIT: I sized down 1 from 25 to 24.
Here’s a look at the jean shorts on with the square neck smocked top. The top is darling and lightweight and looks good with a mini front tuck. I actually liked it so much I bought it in this orangey/red and the creamy white below.
TOP FIT : runs big, I’m wearing XXS
I’m thinking THIS will be my 4th of July outfit! Maybe just add my red Kendra Scott pendant necklace (maybe even this one) or statement earrings for a pop of red! The star shorts are so cute and a great quality cotton
These tall wedges are a fabulous option for those of you who want to add extra height. #yesplease But, they are surprisingly easy to walk in and the nude color goes with everything! They’re a great alternative to the Everyday Wedges.

4TH OF JULY DRESSES
Polka Dot Dress
If you’re going to a fancier party or want a dress option, I’ve got two great ones for you!
DRESS FIT: TTS, 0P
First up, this navy polka dot dress with a high/low hem. I felt so feminine and pretty in this classic style and the skirt has plenty of volume for a good twirl!
Adding a pop of red in the earrings and strappy sandals gives it that festive Independence day feel. But, you could also go in another direction with a different color and of course, neutral accessories and shoes will work too.
The dress zips up the back and is fully lined.
Red Maxi Dress
And last but not least, is a more casual dress that is so very versatile for vacation, date night, weekends, and more. It even works as a swimsuit cover up!
DRESS FIT: TTS, I’m wearing petite petite. And no alterations needed!
You might recognize this maxi dress from our family trip to Lost Pines. I wore the black one the night we made s’mores and James snapped my pic!
I love this maxi so much because it’s flowy perfection with adjustable spaghetti straps. Because it comes in petite, I didn’t have to get it altered! #bonus
To make it even more festive for 4th of July, I added a flag inspired neckerchief to the handle of my wooden bag. It’s meant to be worn around your neck- and that’s cute too.
So tell me, what are your plans for the 4th? Will you be staying in or heading out? And what are you gonna wear??
Have a great day friends!
