It’s feeling really good to reach the end of this week with such a big accomplishment behind me! Â The fact that my
office makeover was finished in time for the final reveal of the One Room Challenge on Wednesday was no small feat.  I love how it turned out and am so happy to have it all complete!  It’s a major relief!  Thank you so very much for sharing the love with me.  When you dedicate so much time and energy to a project, it means so much to get such positive feedback.
So, on to this week’s Weekend Steals & Deals! I’ve been mixing and matching so many of my favorites from my closet these last few months, so I figured a “Spring Style Essentials” post was appropriate. Â I rounded up 12 of my tried and true pieces that I find myself reaching for every week that pull together so many of my outfits. Â These must-haves aren’t just for Spring either, they will take you through Summer too.
1 |Â Racerback DressÂ
This dress is a long-time favorite and under $50! Â It’s sassy enough (on the short side) to feel dressed up in, but loose enough to hide your dessert! Â You can dress it up with different necklaces and shoes and get #allthecolors. Â I think I need black next.
2 | Â
SunglassesÂ
Ever since I learned the
Ray-Ban sunglass fit trick, I’ve been sporting my aviators all around town! They are so lightweight and really do help you see super clear in bright sunlight. Â But, I’m smitten with the blue mirrored lenses. Â They punch up your outfit! There’s a really goodÂ
duplicate $12Â pair too.
3 |Â Wrap Bracelet
Even if you don’t typically wear too many accessories, a wrap bracelet like this is a must-have in my book! Â It goes with everything and the little bit of bling on it means you can easily wear it with your dressy or casual looks.
4 |Â Jean jacket
All hail a great jean jacket and this is THE jean jacket of jean jackets! Â It’s the fabric (so super soft) that makes it such a winner in my book, but also the cut and color. Â I wear mine with everything from jeans, shorts and dresses.
I even like the denim on denim look, as long as you mix contrasting colors. Oh, look at that pregnant belly!!!
5 | Â Lace Up Sandals
I’m crazy for these shoes! You can wear them with everything from jeans to shorts to dresses. Â One of my favorite buys in the last few months!
6 |Â Wedge SandalsÂ
These wedge sandals give you just enough lift to elongate your leg, but not so much that you can’t run around in them all day. Â They are a great weekend shoe with shorts and they look especially good with that racerback dress (#1 above).
7 |Â White Watch
A white watch looks fresh and clean and says, “active” more so than dressy. Â I wear mine mostly with shorts and weekend styles and of course working out.
Every woman needs a few t-shirts in their closet they can throw on and look effortlessly chic in. Â You can dress them up with a statement necklace and heels or pair them with wedges or shorts. Â Tucked into a skirt also looks great. Â
This shirt has a small front pocket, comes in regular and petite and about a million colors for only $25! Â The
shirt I’m wearing below is a little more at $32 (but they often go on sale, and currently the
light blue and light green are 65% off).
9 | Similar Necklace
This pendant necklace is a steal at only $18 and also comes in other colors. Â Can’t beat it!
10 |Â Jean Shorts
I’ve been living in these jean shorts lately and not afraid to say how often! Â If you pop over to my house, it’s most likely what you’ll find me in!
You’ve heard me rave recently over these under $70 skinny jeans. Â They arrived just before date night about a month ago and when I tried them on, I didn’t take them off! Â I swear they are so super soft with the perfect amount of stretch. Â I like having a pair of dark skinnies without a lot of distressing or rips for most of my night out looks. Â But, I’ve found this pair so comfy, that I’ve been wearing them all week long too. Â If you get them, I’d love to hear if you like them as much as I do.
12 | Reversible Tote
I’ve gotten so much use out of this well-made faux leather reversible tote (and do carry it on both sides), that I got it in two colors. Â If you’ve followed my blog for long, you might remember that the tan/aqua one was a Christmas gift from my Mom & Dad, so it’s very special to me. Â And bonus, it’s under $50!
It’s Field Day at my son’s school today, so I’m off to help with those cute kiddos! Â Hope you have a great weekend!

Great picks, Megan! I have #1 and #2 and love them. I've been eyeing those lace up sandals, and you might have convinced me to pull the trigger 😉 Happy Friday!
Those are one of my favorite recent purchases! Glad I got them!
When I needed a new black dress I got the racer-back dress after you raved about it – I now have it in three other colors! It really is a great dress!
I need the black one too! Will be easy to dress up or down.
What size Modal t-shirt are you wearing?
XS 🙂
Super super cute sandals and ideas! Love your blog!
Thanks so much Angi!
Hi, what brand are the jeans you're wearing with the orange tee? The ripped ones? Super cute outfits!
I'll go look and write you back!
Love these favorites list! I ordered the denim jacket since my target one is too big now after losing weight… I ordered 2 sizes but now can't decide. Did you go with your normal size?
Good for you Christina! 🙂 I did go with my regular size, XS. I would go with the one that is more fitted on you, looks more stylish than being too baggy (and will actually make you look smaller if the jacket is more fitted).
