Black Skinny Jeans x 5 Outfits

How was your weekend friends? I’m happy to say I wrapped up MOST of my Christmas shopping and it’s a good thing because Christmas is in ONE week!!!  Ahhhhh!!!  It never feels like enough time before the holiday, but I’m so excited because James gets out of school for holiday break on Friday!  He’ll be home until January 9!  That’s a nice, long break!  Do you have a similar break from school?

Have you heard of Jen7 brand jeans?  If not, I hadn’t either until they reached out last month and offered to send me a pair for a review.  Then, I realized they are the sister brand to 7 For All Mankind jeans, that I do know and have worn in the past.  Y’all know I only give positive product reviews to things I actually like and can honestly recommend (hence, why many of my collaborations are with Nordstrom!), so I asked Jen7 to send me the jeans first, so I could try them on and if I liked them, I’d tell you about them, but if not, back they go!

They happily agreed  and sent me a pair of the size 0 black coated jeans.  I put them right on, and instantly loved them!  In fact, I liked them so much, I was doing a little happy dance and shared on Stories right away last week!

SIZING: These jeans fit TTS and they have a consistent “top block” -spanning from the top of the thigh to the top of the waistband, the top block will remain consistent on every pair of Jen7 jeans regardless of the style or season. The Jen7 top block has been designed to have a higher rise that eliminates gapping and allows for more room through the hips than the traditional pair of premium jeans. This top block was built for a woman who is fit but has possibly had children and encountered some inevitable changes in her body.

Well, no wonder I love these jeans so much!  I think I’m that “fit woman who has had kids and changes in her body.”  I’m their target market!  Maybe you too??

The size 0 fit me perfectly, but were full length on me as opposed to ankle because I’m only 5’1.  They really hold you in all over, and make you look long and lean- a big feat for this petite gal!

A black jean is a great option for the holidays because it seems dressier than blue jeans, but (our little secret!) you’re still wearing jeans, so you’re just as comfy!

For the first outfit, I like this plaid top that can take you from work to evening cocktails.  It’s a classic plaid pattern with a pretty blue color that doesn’t scream Christmas.  Don’t underestimate the power of a leopard skinny belt too- it amps up the outfit with that extra bit of pattern!

Or, you can exchange the button down top for a v-neck sweater and add some va va voom with a peek of a lacy bralette.  The bra isn’t super supportive, but size Medium held me in place pretty well once I adjusted the straps and the bra sure is cute!  It kinda looks like a cami under the sweater.

Another look that is a bit more casual, but so comfortable and easy to wear is with this Must Have tunic.  It’s silky goodness and very figure flattering.  It looks super cute with this tassel necklace too.  I changed into knee high boots for this look because for some of you, it’s pretty cold out now! So just throw on your faux leather jacket and you’ll be good to go!

These coated jeans are skinny style, so you can also wear them like leggings with your longer sweaters.  This cowl neck sweater is long enough and converts to an off-shoulder top if you prefer to wear it that way.  And you can still wear a necklace with a big cowl neck top- the trick is just to wear one long enough that doesn’t get lost in the neck.  I also wanted to show you how good it looks to mix black and tan or brown together.  Those neutrals make a great combo!

And black jeans don’t have to be only for night.  You can definitely wear them for your weekend errands and they’ll look great with your black slip on sneakers!  With these sneakers, I like to show some ankle, so I casually rolled the jeans.  And this vest is super cozy and comfy- just what you need when you want another layer, but it’s not freezing out.

If you’ve try these jeans, let me know!  I’m curious to see if you love them as much as I do!  Below are more of their jeans, you can click the picture to go to the site.

Now I’m off to (hopefully) have a super productive day because there is LOTS on the to-do list!  I hope you have a great day!  Oh, and p.s.  I’m giving away two pairs of Hunter Boots or $150 in Cash on my Instagram!  Good luck!  The winner will be announced on Wednesday!
