Y’all are so sweet to subscribe to my baby YouTube channel! I feel like a brand new blogger when I looked and saw 18 34 subscribers yesterday!! That might not seem like something to get excited about because the number isn’t huge, but I’m eternally grateful for each and every single one of you who take time out of your day to stop by here. I still remember starting this blog and getting my first comments and even now, reading your comments never gets old! #thankyou! The long weekend sure makes for a quick work week, right?! It’s already Wardrobe Wednesday and I’m partnering with Nordstrom to share a Fall trend I’m loving right now – the bomber jacket. I almost chose ‘cold shoulder‘ because that’s another style I’m all about right now, but with Fall on the brain and in the near future, the bomber jacket is, well, #thebomb! #couldntresist
Isn’t the embroidery detail on this jacket pretty?! It’s only on the front and arms, the back is solid black.
Of course a bomber jacket goes perfectly with jeans (and I’ll show you that look soon) but for something more unexpected, I’m showing you how you can wear it with a skirt. To play up the girly pink and blush tones in this jacket, I chose this pleated midi skirt.
FIT TIP JACKET :: The jacket runs true to size and I’m in an XS. It also has front pockets that zip close.
SKIRT FIT TIP: The skirt is by Topshop, and I’m usually a US4 in that brand, which is what I’m wearing in this skirt, but I think I could’ve tried their petite sizing so it would be a little more fitted in the waist and shorter in the length.
Under the jacket, I wore my fave $18 u-neck tank that you also saw here. I have it in white, grey and black and all of them have held up perfectly well without pilling or shrinking after years of washes.
Throwing that jacket over this outfit makes it a great ‘transition to Fall’ look.
I almost wore a pendant necklace with this outfit, but decided I liked how the floral necklace looked (similar version here). My earrings are old from Kate Spade, but these faux pearl drop earrings sure are pretty.
I don’t know why, but I usually prefer dresses over skirts, so this look is new for me, but I’m digging it!
Thank you to ShopStyle and Nordstrom for sponsoring today’s post. Yay for Friday! And movie night! The kids and I have gotten into the habit of doing a family movie…
Daaannngggg, it’s getting cold here!! After months of being ready for it to cool off, we’ve finally gotten our wish! I’ve seen images of snow and heavy coats when I…

I actually did have mimosas while I shopped the sale early yesterday and can I tell you- shopping is even more fun with a little side of bubbly! #youknewthat! The Nordstrom Anniversary sale is THE SALE with all the NEW fall fashion goodness that is just released, but at slashed prices for three weeks, then they go up to full-price. The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale opens today for cardholders, (get a card here and shop today) but don’t worry, if you don’t have a card, you can start shopping next Friday! Mark your calendars to come back here, because I will have more to share!
At the store yesterday, I found so much to share with you that I’m breaking it into two posts. I’ll be back tomorrow with the second half. This post is already super long, so I tried to keep my commentary brief and informative! Maybe go ahead and pour yourself that mimosa, I’ll wait . . . . .
First up, I’ve been aching for a new pair of jeans and was specifically excited to try the much-loved AG skinny jeans. I’ve read the rave reviews about this quality, designer jean with a flattering fit, so that’s one of the first things I reached for! This pair is with a raw hem delivered and will make you look like a skinny mini! They fit TTS, but of course were a little long on me. The alterations lady actually said I could just cut the hem at home with scissors so that’s what I plan to do. Her only tip: be sure to cut a straight line!
This off-shoulder top sure ups the game on your grandpa’s flannel shirt! It’s super soft and cozy, and the off-shoulder/long sleeves are an awesome combo. I tried on XS and it fit fine, but the petite would probably be better. It also comes in pink and I think I need that one too! You know I’m going to recommend my all-time favorite strapless bra and I couldn’t believe our good fortune when I saw the PERFECT T-Shirt bra included in the sale. Remember the one I was giddy to find that’s wireless and seamless with good lift. Yep, it’s on sale for $39, $60 after the sale.
AND, my very favorite seamless panties that stay in place all day and are ultra comfortable, so much so that you’ll forget you’re wearing them. Those panties are in the sale for only $13, $19 after the sale. I’m thrilled to see more colors like pink and aqua- they only had tan, black and brown before.
Of course I was anxious to try on boots and booties, but this suede slide is one of the pairs of shoes I loved the most. It fit the most comfortably and the suede is buttery soft.
Right away I was smitten with the cowl neck sweater vest. The waffle fabric is thick and the baby pink is really pretty. It’s got small v-cuts on the side and isn’t the pocket a fun detail? A tight turtleneck isn’t usually my thing, but I love the looser cowl neck style.
Good Monday morning friends! I hope you had a wonderful weekend and are starting the day feeling refreshed and energized! With nothing on the agenda, we had such a good, slow…
