Dressy Jumpsuits To Wear From Summer To Fall

Good Monday morning friends! I hope you had a wonderful weekend and are starting the day feeling refreshed and energized!  With nothing on the agenda, we had such a good, slow weekend.  I made a conscious effort to rest and recharge and am so glad I did. Last week, I had a stomach bug but powered through because there was so much to do.  On top of that, I haven’t been exercising regularly, so I was feeling really crummy and low-energy.

We started the weekend with a fun trip to a local farmers market.  If you’re in Houston, it’s the Urban Market Farmer’s Market at Richmond Ave. & Eastside.  Even though it was scorching outside, it was still fun to do something different and get in a ‘healthy mood’ from being around such fresh food.

We bought a bag of sweet smelling peaches and a beautiful watermelon, then made a healthy meal plan for the week.  I’m super excited to turn my diet around.  This week, I’m going meat and dairy free and eating more whole grains, fresh fruits, and vegetables and focusing on getting my daily water intake in.  I will snap some pictures and take notes on what I’m eating and share it with you.

I’ve also got my wheels turning for the next HWH fitness challenge and I’m planning to start it in September!  Who’s in??

DRESSY JUMPSUITS FROM SUMMER TO FALL

Today, I’m sharing two of my favorite outfits from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale that are versatile for both Summer and Fall/Winter. If you’ve been here for long, you know I’m a big fan of a jumpsuit. I always think they are effortlessly chic, similar to a dress, but way cooler. So this post will focus on how to wear two different dressy jumpsuits and ways to style them from summer to fall!

WIDE LEG TWEED JUMPSUIT

JUMPSUIT FIT : TTS, wearing 2p and altered the length. The bodice is fully lined and you can wear a regular bra with it.  

I like the menswear inspired trousers. The wide leg is incredibly comfortable and gives you legs for days both coming and going.  The fabric is actually more lightweight than it appears, great for wearing right now.

These killer booties are by Vince Camuto.  I love the modern style and sexy stiletto heel.  They run small, so I’d size up half.

How To Wear In The Fall

I highly recommend this three-quarter ruched sleeve blazer as a ‘Must Have’ addition to your closet because it easily dresses up jeans and a T-shirt for date night or a night out with friends, and also looks polished for the office.  See is styled here and here (in white).

It’s a comfortable knit material that doesn’t feel at all uncomfortable or stuffy. And the three-quarter length sleeves gives it a more casual feel.

Both my Kendra Scott disc earrings and layered necklace are part of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale.  The earrings do have some weight to them, but I still wore them comfortably for hours.  I think they look heavier than they are.  And the awesome thing about this layered necklace is that it doesn’t tangle!

JUMPSUIT FIT : TTS, wearing XS and only altered the length.  The shoulder straps are adjustable and you can tighten the waist with the tie belt.  Also, I’m wearing my favorite strapless bra (in black) and you can’t even tell.

How to Wear in the Fall

When it gets chilly, you can throw on a leather jacket/suede jacket or even a jean jacket if you wanted to go a more casual route.  I’ve had this Moto Jacket a couple years and it’s always a stunner.

I’m wearing a statement necklace I already had in my closet, but if you’re looking for one that is gorgeous, this one is on sale and absolutely stunning in person.
