Our Fall Home Decor

Good morning friends!  Thank God for a couple of good days sleep.  And workouts!  On Tuesday, Jordan and I walked to the park and played for about 30 minutes, then walked home.  Getting outside in the fresh air is always a good idea and it helps tremendously to lift your mood.

If you want to join me and Cari for a fun FREE workout (with pumpkins!), you can meet us at Whole Foods Montrose on Tuesday, October 29.  We’ll get our workout on and then have some time to hang out and chat.  I’d love to meet you in person if you can make it!

OUR FALL HOME DECOR

With so much change this past year, one constant is our home and the warmth and comfort it provides.  We’ve lived here for 10 years and it’s been good to us.  I try to take loving care of the inside and outside and count it a blessing to call it home.  I’ve mentioned before that moving wouldn’t be out of the picture, but for now, we’re happily settled here.

Over the years, I’ve loved decorating for the seasons.  Last weekend, my brothers helped me bring all the Christmas bins down from the attic so I could get them organized and stored away in the garage.  It will be lovely to have everything already accessible when I’m ready to decorate for the holiday season this year.

But before I get ahead of myself, we’re still in the early stages of Fall here with only recently getting a taste of Fall temps!  I’ve started sprinkling a few bits of Fall decor here and there and I love how it’s warmed up the place!

If you missed it, lots of my decor pieces are things I shared in my affordable Amazon home decor post.

It wouldn’t be Fall without pumpkins and I found a whole set of them in varying sizes and colors to scatter about.  Of course I like the white and gold ones to go with our neutral home decor.  I had planned to mix in some real pumpkins here too, but so far only have one.

Sometimes at night, I’ve placed battery operated tea lights on the stairs too and that looks so pretty when it’s dark.

The first thing I did to add Fall flavor was to pull out my assortment of faux florals.  I keep a giant bin of them in the garage and have amassed quite a collection of colors over the years.  Here are a mix of orange berries and green hydrangeas that I added to the big Pottery Barn vase.

I have a string of lights running through the garland and Jordan loves to turn that on at night. It feels so cozy!

You probably recognize this blanket from my Stories – it’s the one I’ve talked about before that rivals the Barefoot Dreams for coziness, especially on cold days!

There are more faux florals in varying vases in the living room and entryway.

Those birch candles came in a set of three and are battery operated.  They come with a remote and timer so you can set them to turn on and off for a certain amount of time.  The kids like to operate the remote in my house.

We’ve even added a little bit of Fall decor to the kitchen.

And finally, I’m crazy for our new Fall wreaths!  I think they’re a great mix of festive and natural and I love seeing them when I pull up to the house each day.

I hope you enjoyed a peek inside our home this time of year.  I’m looking forward to sharing more when we head into winter and the holidays!

In the meantime, have you been adding Fall decor touches to your home too?  Do you put a Fall wreath on your front door? Carve pumpkins? I love to hear about other people’s seasonal/holiday traditions.

Have a fantastic day friends!

  1. I need to get our fall decor out! My daughter keeps asking when we are going to decorate….we just finished a kitchen renovation and I’ve been trying to get my house put back together but I think we are finally ready to start getting the pumpkins and other fall decor out. You’ve inspired me!

  2. I have front doors with an iron grillwork over glass, similar to yours. How do you attach wreaths to your doors?

  3. Can you provide details on the large tray on top of the coffee table pls ? I’ve been looking for something similar but can’t find something g large and pretty like that.
