Daaannngggg, it’s getting cold here!! After months of being ready for it to cool off, we’ve finally gotten our wish! I’ve seen images of snow and heavy coats when I look at my IG stories from friends in the north. Have you been wearing your leggings and long tops?! I’m super excited to show you these two legging looks today in collaboration with Nordstrom. Y’all know Nordstrom is where I shop most often and you tell me you love to shop there too! I find their customer service to be superb? and it’s so convenient to shop for my whole family and girlfriends there too. Y’all saw me pick up this pairs of shoes and these boots for Jordan there just two days ago. Gotta keep little baby’s toesies warm!
Ok, first things first when we’re talking leggings. My rule (that I’m sure I’ve embarrassingly broken before!?) is #coverthebum! And you want your top long in the front too. It’s hard to look good in an outfit if you’re self consciously fidgeting and pulling your top down all the time.
The sweater is the coziest of the cozy with the slouchy fit and cowl neck. It’s meant to be oversized and the XS fit me perfectly.
You can see this sweater is the perfect bum-covering length with cute side v-cut detail. Love that!
My leggings are actually really, really old and I’m due for a new pair so I just ordered the Hue Leggings. Everyone and their mom raves about the wide elastic waistband being super comfortable and they are machine washable and dryable. Reviewers recommend sizing down one size because they stretch with wear. They’re only $36 and come in black, brown and grey.
I’ve gotten lots of questions about this big tote bag and it’s by Vera Bradley. I especially like it for traveling because it’s nice and sturdy and I can even fit my laptop in it.
For Legging Look #2, this tunic top and boots with a puffer vest is a weekend staple. The puffer vest is easy to wear on those days with a chill in the air but you don’t need a full coat.
What boots do you like to wear with your leggings? Knee high boots (flat or with a heel) are ultra flattering with leggings. I’ve had this pair by MK for so many years and they’re still in good shape!
The fit on this tunic top is TTS, but since I’m busty, I like to wear a tank underneath so I can unbutton it without flashing anyone! A tank or tee underneath also has the benefit of added warmth and another layer of visual interest.
Y’all know this Faux Leather Reversible Tote is one of my faves, it comes in a gorgeous red/white combo for only $48 if you need a gift for someone special! You can see it styled here with the cutest Christmas snowman sweater (40% off now!).
Here’s a glimpse at how long the back of this tunic is on my 5’1 frame.
Hope y’all are staying warm out there?! Do you have the HUE leggings? Let me know what you think and I’ll do the same as soon as I get mine!
If you’re suddenly realizing there’s only 17, 16! more sleeps (okay, that’s still over 2 weeks), until Christmas, check out these posts for gift ideas! ?

It was FINALLY cold enough for my chunky sweater, leggings and boots last night at my daughter's choir performance, but it was SO cold (and the place where we were had no heat) that I ended up wearing my coat and scarf the whole night–covering up my cute outfit! Boo. I just can't win sometimes! 🙂 ~Jenny http://www.introvertsguidetosobriety.com/shopping/friday-favorites-advent-calendar/
