Yay for the weekend friends! Â I’ve been looking forward to today for nine months if you know what I mean! Â Although this time it’s my little brother and his high-school sweetheart turned wife having their first baby today! Â I’ll be on the edge of my seat until that happens and I can’t wait to hold another newborn baby! Â Jordan is already getting so big!And tomorrow, I’m looking forward to meeting you at the Palais Royal in Meyerland! Â I know your weekends are busy, but this will be a fun event for the kiddos too, so if you’re in Houston, I hope you can swing by between 11am-1pm. Â You can meet my cutie pie, James too! Â Go here for more details.
Have you been getting your Nordstrom sale purchases in the mail? Â There’s still another week left to take advantage of the savings before prices go up and today, I’m sharing some of my faves, the definite keepers! Â A few things, like jackets and tall boots won’t get real wear until our weather cools off, but I wanted to show you how to pair things and give you a review on how they fit, so here goes! Â And if you missed it, you can check out the dresses here! For fit info- I’m shorty, short, 5’1, about 110 pounds and athletic build. Â
First up, this outfit that will work as a “now” minus the OTK boots with the sweetest little lace detailed sleeveless top. Â It’s got a romantic feel to it that I love for date night. Â I was also really happy to see these Joe’s jeans included in the sale because they fit a body with curves so well. Â They hug all the right places without gaping in the waist. Â Also, because there’s no distressing or rips, you can probably wear them to work on casual days.
But can we talk about these over the knee boots?! Â I’ve never owned a pair before and these are the best!! Â I tried on several pair and even though I’m only 5’1, these were easy to walk in and sit in! Â I didn’t even think about that before I tried other pairs on, but some I couldn’t bend my knee in. Â Now I’m thinking maybe I should get black too?? Â They’ll be so comfy/cute with leggings and sweaters when it’s cold. Â I can already smell the hot cocoa!
The boots look great with this jacket and I like the style so much that I also have it in black, but size UP because it runs small.  I’m wearing size Small.Â
A look you can definitely wear NOW is the distressed denim with a tank and nude booties. Â This tank is silky soft and I’ve also already worn it with shorts.
These jeans were really long on me, so I cuffed them here, but I went ahead and got them altered.
I swapped out the tank for the off the shoulder blouse on a recent lunch date downtown with the hubs. Â I especially like that this top has skinny straps to keep it on your shoulders.
There are two tassels on this top, but one is hiding inside! Oops!
I’ve been eyeing these wedges below for a long time and finally bought them with no regrets! When something stays on your mind way past when you first see it, you know it’s meant to be!
This summer sweater in a yummy neutral will transition perfectly to Fall!
Below is a NOW outfit (without the cardi vest) and LATER with it. Â The striped top is super thin and lightweight, love those soft long sleeve tees. Â It’s long in the back too, so would be great with leggings. Â And it’s under $18!
But I really love it with this grey chunky sweater vest! Â It’s cut so that the front is shorter than the sides, which is nice so it doesn’t feel like it’s swallowing you up. Â See how I paired it with a plaid button-up here. Â Since it’s grey, you can wear it with almost any color top underneath- I even like it with tee shirts or a loose tank for transitioning to Fall.
Remember those soft black pants I raved about in this style post?? Â I got them hemmed a couple inches and they are a dream!! Â Wear them to work, running errands, date night, or curled up on the couch- yes, they are that comfortable! But I kid, if I’m curling up on the couch, I’ll be in pjs or sweats. And lately with a pint of Haagen Dazs!
The pants I knew I had to have as soon as I put them on! They are so genuinely soft and comfortable and don’t pull or gap in any weird places! They look professional, but aren’t at all stuffy and you feel like you can b r e a t h e in them! Â They are kind of like work-style leggings. Â After you get them, come back and tell me how much you love them! Â I called the seamstress in right away so I could get a couple inches taken off the length. Â I’m gonna say size down in them because I was a 0P.
They are flirty and cute with a colorful peplum top and you can add in more color with your accessories.
The GiGi New York Stella fold-over clutch is on major sale right now, it was originally $205 and it’s marked down to $82.  The quality is superb!  All sale items at GiGi are now 60% off! This gorgeous pale blue tote was $275 and now $110!
I also found an awesome jacket at the Nordstrom sale that is casual and still chic at the same time. Â It drapes nicely and dresses up an otherwise more casual outfit. Of course, I want it in white now too! Â I first threw it on over the peplum tank to show how you can make that tank appropriate for the office.
When the Plione tunics go on sale, you snatch them up in every color. Â These tunics are great quality, nice and soft, and both work/play appropriate. Â They are also great with THE PANTS! The tunic comes in 10 colors (I have red, black, yellow and now purple) and is now under $40, it’s normally $59.
This outfit took me right back to my office days, where I’d be in these heels all day, and secretly slipping them off my feet when I sat at my desk!
You can lose the jacket too for a more relaxed look.  It’s pretty with that double row gold necklace peeking through the collar.
So much goodness to be had lately! Â What are your faves from the sale? Â I’ll probably go in for one.last.check of anything I missed and have.to.have before the sale ends next weekend! Â Have a great weekend if I don’t get to see your face tomorrow!

Thanks Mama!! So looking forward to our next trip!!
You do look pretty in everything!
I am so hoping Nordstrom restocks that faux leather jacket. I keep checking, but so far, no luck.
I've been checking too, hope they restock it! I'm sure they will, but not sure if it will be while it's still on sale! :/
Your outfit are amazing all…you look good with everything:D
Thank you!!
How does the Nordstrom alterations work for shortening pant legs? Since it's on a sale item, is there a charge?
I didn't have to pay for those alterations, not sure if it was because it was an Anniversary sale item or what.
