Happy weekend friends! What a blur these last two weeks have been! Our baby girl is now 15 days old and doing really well. I’m basically a feeding and diaper-changing machine, but thankful she’s a good eater with a healthy appetite. I’m I’m tiiiiired these mornings, but I so cherish these early days. I was so moved by how much that picture resonated with y’all and I must say that if I’ve ever given the impression that things are “perfect” (which doesn’t exist) or that we don’t have our messy, average-life days, I’ve led you astray. Our world is just like yours, and although I tend to share the prettier and hopefully, more inspiring, parts of our life with you, I know it’s the real world, hard, everyday stuff that makes us more relatable. I’m so glad I opened up and shared that with you. Thank you for receiving it so well. My mom comes everyday to help and spend time with Jordan, which gives me an opportunity for a fresh shower (oh how good that feels!) and time to get some things done around the house. What a blessing that I definitely don’t take for granted!

I’m still on my clothing spend freeze, but I have a couple of tops that I bought during pregnancy that I can still wear now and they are both on sale. First up, this stripe tunic in a fresh color combo of navy, blue, white with fun yellow cuffs. It’s thin and lightweight, so good for changing weather. I’m wearing size Small, but see how it fit me while pregnant below. If I was just ordering it now, I’d probably get an XS. Bonus, it’s long enough to wear with leggings and boots or booties.
I’m still wearing maternity jeans, but they are much more comfortable now. A good alternative to these distressed jeans in non-maternity is the BLANKNYC ‘good vibes’ distressed skinny jeans ($88). I have them and they are nice and soft, but I’d order a size down. I felt that they ran a little big.
Or try the Vigoss ‘Chelsea’ super skinny jeans– they are good quality and only $64. The lighter wash feels like Spring is on the horizon! I have this pair by Vigoss and have gotten so much use out of them. They have a good amount of stretch, but not too much, and not too much distressing, if that’s not your thing.
My mother-of-pearl pendant necklace turned around in these pics 🙁 but this necklace is super cute and a great, inexpensive alternative ($18) to the Kendra Scott Rayne pendant necklace ($80). The lesser-priced one isn’t as weighty, but it still looks cute. I have both, so clearly, I don’t discriminate. They go with everything! #oneineverycolorplease 😉

I also love a boatneck tee, especially with 3/4 length sleeves and this one is super soft and also in my favorite stripe pattern. It was $38, and it’s on sale now for $22.80. It comes in black and white stripes too, or solid black and solid burgundy. Perfect for wearing untucked with jeans and sneaks, or if you want to dress it up, I’d tuck it in and wear with a skirt or slacks and a statement necklace.

P.S. don’t let the picture above fool you into thinking my 2-week post pregnancy belly is all tiny and taught. It’s not! I’m wearing the abdominal binder they gave me in the hospital for my own comfort because it makes me feel more stable. I don’t wear it all the time, just when I want the extra support. My abs have some major separation and it will likely be a long process before they are back to normal (if ever)!
If you want to dress the top up, darker denim says dressier and heels and a statement necklace are instant outfit enhancers. Dark skinny jeans and heels also equal a cute date night look. My GAP 1969 dark skinny jeans are always a comfy staple in my closet. They come in regular, tall and petite for us shorties.

Since our weather is warming up, but still sometimes gets chilly, a short sleeve tee with a scarf on hand (you can just tie it on your tote if you don’t need it), is a good idea. I love all the jewel tone colors on this scarf that you can wear with any top that has one of those colors in it. I’m wearing it with a pink tee below, but see how nice it looks with yellow/gold below.
