We made it to the weekend friends! I’m so tired from exercising so hard this week that I’m looking forward to a weekend with not much in the way of plans. We need a break! I’ll be updating you on Monday as to how I’ve been doing on bikini prep– but I’ll give you a not so subtle hint- it’s been kicking my @ss! With that being said, we’ll do an intimate Mother’s Day celebration and spend time with my mom, but that’s about it. What are y’all up to?

Finally, I couldn’t wait to tell you about these new inexpensive lipsticks and lip liners I just got from Amazon of all places! I wanted to experiment with more bold and bright lip colors and always felt like my darker lipsticks needed a lip liner to help the color stay and not bleed, but I didn’t want to spend a fortune or visit a store in person, so I figured why not see what sets Amazon had. Since they are inexpensive, I wouldn’t be super upset if they didn’t work out.
The lip liners come in a pack of 6 for $9.99 and the lipsticks come in a pack of 8 for $11.79. Great prices!

And, like the positive reviews said, so far I’m really liking them! The pigment is good and they are pretty matte. So, if you like a more shiny lip, you’ll need to add a gloss.
I’ve actually had luck with a cheapie blush set I got on Amazon too, so that helped me bite the bullet on these lipsticks and lipliners. I’m wearing one the blushes from this palette in the photo above. My skin is very sensitive to products and will always break out if I use any lotion but Cetaphil, so I was cautious if this blush would make my skin break out, but it doesn’t.
I remember thinking I’d had some of my makeup a little too long, so I researched the expiration dates on some of our most-used items. According to this, looks like I need to toss nearly everything! Are you good about sticking to the expiration dates? Tell me I’m not the only one!
