You may have heard around blogland that several design bloggers are currently in the big apple at Blogfest. I know from attending Blissdom and our local blogger meetup that getting to meet and talk to other bloggers that you’ve “known” for a long time through their blogs is so fun. Personal computer blog time has become a favorite part of my day, but it doesn’t beat actually being one-on-one with your girlfriends!
So, while Abbe of Studio Ten 25 is away, I’m guest posting at her blog:) I happened upon Abbe’s blog through a link party and was instantly in love with her designs. I spent a long time looking through her portfolio of work and was struck by how unique and interesting the rooms looked. She has a great way of incorporating pattern, color, and art that I love! Let me just say
Check out this bedroom! Don’t you just love the bold drapery fabric and dramatic art over the dresser?
Is yellow more your style?
Or perhaps light aqua?
Her own living room is gorgeous! I dig the large abstract art over her sofa and the cool accent table.
This space below is also from Abbe’s own home, which she refers to as “rustic glam” as she blends her and her husband’s style. If you mixed my and my hubby’s decor leanings, it would probably also be called rustic glam. I think it’s so sweet how she added those dog prints to represent her own furry friend.
This living room is one of my favorites!
I think it was genius to add this piece to visually divide up this living room, which is pretty awesome in general with those brick walls and big windows.
An office designed for a man, but I’ll take that rug any day!

And here’s the original room designed by Abbe that I fell in love with. I used to have an apartment with a very similar layout and I can assure you, it never looked as good!
But most of all, I love that through Abbe’s blog, we get a peek inside her head as she designs a room and shares the process as she brings it all together. She’ll often show photographs of the room maybe “not quite right” as she perfects the design, then revels it after those last few tweaks.
And one more thing, (as if you needed more!) Abbe has a shop full of home decor goodies. Go here to check it out:)
