Time to Rest and Recoup

A summer cold has knocked me out the last few days, so I guess my body is telling me I need to slow down and rest. My two-year old son keeps seeing me and saying, “Mama’s sleeping.”  “Mama needs to blow her nose.”  He even tries to help by bringing me Kleenex- sweet boy.

Thankfully, I am starting to feel better.  So, Friday and this weekend I will try to slow down and recuperate.  I will prioritize my mile-long to-do list and make SLEEP the #1 priority.

Are YOU getting the rest you need?  My Grandma always tells me, “Take care of YOU!”

Meet Megan

Hi! I’m Megan, mom to a thoughtful teenager and spunky young girl. We call Houston home and recently moved into our dream home. I traded my lawyer hat to become a full-time blogger in 2010. 1. I feel you, I've totally not been getting enough rest lately either. As my mother always says we need to put the oxygen mask on ourselves first…it's so hard sometimes when our to-do lists seem never ending. Cheers to a restful weekend!

  2. Oh my gosh I totally thought that was a pregnancy test at first glance! Then I thought, 'she doesn't really look that happy about it' and I realized it wasn't. 🙂

Get some rest! Hope you feel better soon!

  3. Oh, sweet thing. So sorry you are still down and out. I agree with Grandma, take care of you! Easier said than done with little man but hopefully the hubby can take over now that it's the weekend. Rest well.

  4. Take care of yourself, girl! How did the wallpaper browsing go the other day?

  5. Hope you feel better! (I totally thought that first lady was holding a pregnancy test. Ha!)

  6. Feel better soon!!! I know what you mean, sometimes us mamas forget about ourselves. I was so beyond exhausted earlier I put Olivia in her pack and play just so I could take a little nap. She went in with a little fight but when I woke up a little while later she was OUT so I actually got to enjoy a real nap! haha

  7. Summer colds are rough! I think they are worse sometimes! It is okay to take a weekend to relax every now and then!! We don't have to move mountains every week. 🙂 🙂

Those two year old boys are getting so big, aren't they? Reid is growing like a weed and turning into a little man. Crazy!

  8. I just found your blog and love it hope you feel better and remember you do your best work when you are at your best. Grandma is right you need to include yourself when caring for others.
