WANTED: Floor Length Mirror

In our entryway, we have a large, unadorned wall that is perfect for a dramatic floor-length mirror.
I’m thinking something like these:

I love these gigantic, ornate mirrors, but not in white for our space.

This one is great, but too expensive from Restoration Hardware at $2000 (plus shipping I imagine).
The next 5 are from Horchow and actually way less than RH.

Do you know of any good sources for floor length mirrors?

You'd have to go often, but have you tried HomeGoods?

I just bought one from HomeGoods two weeks ago! Ours is more antiqued goldish, but if you wanted another color I'm sure it would be easy to spray paint.

That is a perfect spot for a nice big mirror… and that second one from Horchow is fantastic! I love it!

    Yep – homegoods.

What a great idea- that space is perfect for a floor length mirror! The 3rd one from Horchow is my favorite! How about Ballard Designs, Pier 1 or Pottery Barn? I also agree with the above comments-you never know what gems you might find at Homegoods! Good Luck! 🙂

We have a simpler one from Horchow – wait until October – I think that's when they go on sale.

Try Ballard,West Elm And a framing store!

    Good luck!

what about building your own? buying the plain mirror then the fancy trim you want & put it all together yourself? I have seen it done all around blogland…

the very last one you posted from Horchow is great, my best friend has it in antique white and its sturdy and aint going anywhere! Its a great piece and she got it at a sale they were having, you will have to pay for freight cost, but any mirror of that size is going to charge you that anyways!

  10. August 16, 2011 / 6:56 pm

Oooh, love the mirrors! Check local antique stores (although it might get pricey) and Craigslist. I can't tell you all the things I find on Craigslist!

That spot is just screaming for a mirror – perfect idea. I saw the perfect large, white ornate mirror at HomeSense the other day for $499! Too bad shipping from all the way up in Canada would be atrocious! Good luck with the search. Check your Home Goods.

I just saw some amazing ones at Home Goods last week for $100! BTW, I am building a house and am trying to find the perfect wall and trim color. I love yours! What colors did you use in your entry way?

How about Homegoods? They've got all sorts of bug mirrors, very reasonably priced 🙂

Love the idea of a mirror. But, I have always wondered if they secure them somehow to a stud in the wall as they always seem to show them just leaning…wouldn't want it toppling over onto little James.

  17. August 16, 2011 / 7:50 pm

Definitely Home Goods. I would anchor to the wall also.

I am totally obsessed with getting one for our next home. All of these are stunning Megan! If you find a great place, please let me know! I have seen a few at Anthropologie, but they are a little more rustic (opposed to the modern/vintage look).

After months of looking I found a great one at IKEA. They have a series named SONGE, but I bought the floor length with the curved top.

    Good luck!

Love that second one in the list of mirrors from Horchow. I think I've seen some at West Elm before!

  23. August 16, 2011 / 9:59 pm

Don't laugh but I found my giant (and i mean giant) mirror at Value City Furniture. It was the deal of a lifetime too we only paid $275 for it and it looks stunning in our dining room.

  24. August 16, 2011 / 10:08 pm

The second one from Horchow is amazing! Try Uttermost Mirror Company.

  25. August 17, 2011 / 12:13 am

Ah!! I found one extremely similar to the RH mirror at a garage sale for…..$40!!!! It's a deep brown…I've been contemplating painting it white, because of my LR decor…but I had to smile when I saw these!! Someday when I get my living room all complete, I will post pics!!

Keep looking, you'll never know where you'll find one!

  26. August 17, 2011 / 12:28 am

a full length mirror would be fabulous there!

  27. August 17, 2011 / 2:40 am

There is a place on Harwin that sells one like the first one. I know someone who had one for her now sold sho. I will ask her for info.

  28. August 17, 2011 / 4:38 am

I think a fancy mirror there would be AMAZING! Have you looked at Z Gallerie?

  29. August 17, 2011 / 5:18 am

I know this sounds crazy, but we just got one from Value City Furniture for a steal! Not sure if you have those in your area, but they have great on trend pieces for even less than Home Goods!
    Love your idea 🙂

For floor mirrors, I would suggest Z Gallerie, IKEA, West Elm and Marshalls.

I love your entry way paint color! What color is it? I'm trying to decide on a paint color for mine.
