When the leaves start changing colors and Starbuck’s brings back Pumpkin Spice Lattes, it’s time to bust out the boots, scarves and sweaters! Layered looks are always more interesting and we sing praises if we actually get to wear our faux-leather jackets here in Houston! I’m sharing my favorite outfits for your Fall & Winter wardrobe here!
Hi friend! It’s almost Friday and I’m really looking forward to the weekend! I still need a break from last week and weekend! 😉
In good news, we had a cool front roll into Houston which took our 90 degree/90% humidity days to the mid seventies! What a blessing and it feels so good to be outside! In a few weeks Daylight Savings will end and then it will really start feeling like Fall!
With this change in weather, I’m excited to share several darling sweater dresses and also boots and booties! For the sweater dresses,
Hi friend! I hope your week is going amazing! We just sent out the Save the Date for our Annual Favorite Things party, and I’m so giddy for that one! It’s always a blast to get together with the girls and laugh, talk and see what everyone’s favorite things were that year. We’re capping it at $30 this year and I’ll be sure to share all of the goodies with you!
That party is one we wear pajamas to, but if you have any other holiday events or parties, you’ll be so excited for today’s post!
Hi friend! We’re back in the swing of things! My weekend wore me out and I was so pooped yesterday! It took me all day to recover- but it was well worth it!
I’m happy to be partnering with Nordstrom today to share 20 new items for your Fall wardrobe. Nordstrom is always one of my favorite places to shop online because of their styles, easy to navigate website and big, clear photos of the items. I also appreciate their top notch customer service and convenient, buy online, pick up in store option.
I found 20 things that would make great additions to your Fall wardrobe- everything from jeans to tops to boots and sneakers and a soft pajama/lounge set!
How’s your week going friend? I spend most of yesterday trying to get my life back in order after being out of town and it always takes a minute to catch back up.
Also, I realized late in the day that it was Jordan’s first soccer practice yesterday! It’s her first time playing an organized sport and she’s so excited! Those kiddos are so cute, I could barely stand it!
I was browsing Loft online and it’s seriously getting me excited for changing leaf colors, Fall lattes, and sweaters! I found some Fall pieces that are gorgeous for this time of year.
Hi friend! We’ve got rain, rain, rain here in Houston and so much that school dismissed early yesterday and is closed today. We don’t have good drainage, so flooding is always an issue when we get too much rain too quickly. I’m hoping everyone stays safe.
I’m heading to NYC on Thursday to meet Brian and, in preparation for packing, I tried on some outfits that I may want to bring with. On the agenda is two client/friend dinners, Brian’s birthday dinner, and walking around the city just sightseeing and popping into different places.
It’s supposed to be between 70-80 degrees with a 30-50% chance of rain.
Hi friend! I hope you are having a wonderful long weekend!
Brian and I had a great time at the camp in Falfurrias, Texas and getting out in the country for a few days did us good! Things seem to slow down when you get away from the city and it’s a welcome change of pace.
We hung out with friends, ate delicious food (that we didn’t have to cook!), fished in Port Mansfield, and napped. This was my first time bay fishing for trout and I didn’t catch anything, but Brian did!
Hi friends! I hope your week is off to a great start! I had so much fun with my girls at Nordstrom yesterday! Ali-Shaun and I have been shopping the sale together for years and it’s one of the days we always look forward to. We shopped, ate, talked, laughed and drank mimosas! It’s just good girlfriend fun and I enjoy it so much!
I’m going through all of our photos and plan to have them up for you tomorrow! Subscribe to my blog here so you don’t miss it!
Hi friends! Welcome back to my blog and here’s to a fresh, new week! We had a great, slow weekend, but also got lots of things done around the house. Brian helped me pick out a new fridge since my old one is acting up and I’ve already had it repaired several times, and it’s over 11 years old. I’m excited to get a french door style this time!
We also cleaned up my landscaping, went to the pool, walked to the park, went to Trader Joe’s and had a date night at our first date restaurant. All in all, it was a very good weekend!
Hi friends! Happy Saturday! I hope your weekend is off to a great start! Yesterday was such a fun, busy day! I had a hankering for lasagna and banana nut bread (weird combo, I know!) so I placed a grocery order and had it delivered yesterday morning.
Jordan finished Week 2 of swimming lessons and is doing great! She got two ribbons and now she’s Michael Phelps in Grandma’s eyes. Then, she had a gymnastics playdate with her favorite friend Jonah (apparently they eloped in preK4 last year) while I spent some time working on my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale content.
Hi friends! Wasn’t that a weird Monday?! I couldn’t tell if it was still the weekend or the start of the week! Ha! One thing I do know is that the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale preview starts today and I’m here for it! It’s a tradition for Ali-Shaun and I to shop it together and we’ll be doing that again this year! Yayyyy!!!

Hi friends! How’s your week going? It’s good here, the kids get to wear holiday clothing for the rest of the year which is always a fun treat! They’re normally in a uniform, so Jordan was thrilled she got to wear this!
Today, I’m recapping the MOST LOVED of 2020! These were the top sellers in the Fashion, Fitness, Shoes, Accessories, Beauty and Home categories according to the shoppers on the LikeToKnowIt app. Do you have and use the app? I post several outfits in the app everyday and it’s an easy way to shop my instagram.
Hi friends! I had so much fun trying on outfits with Ali-Shaun and Rhonda yesterday! I hope you love joining us in the dressing room (aka my bedroom!) on Black Friday! I’ll schedule my post to go live on Thanksgiving evening so after you’re done eating and eating and have tucked into the couch in your cozy pants, you can hop online and shop with us!
And I think that post will be even more helpful than usual because Rhonda is 5’9! She’s the sweetest and a good friend of both mine and Ali-Shaun’s – their boys play in the same select baseball league so they get lots of time together!
Hi friends! I hope y’all are having a lovely weekend. My kids and I had a wonderful playdate and picnic at the park with the cousins yesterday and it was so good to get outside. We homeschooled last week, so there was lots of computer time and we definitely needed a break! The sunshine and fresh air did us good!
I’m popping in on a Sunday because I have a surprise Walmart sale to share with you! This month, Walmart is launching a 3-part sale event that lets you access Black Friday deals earlier than ever before!
Hi friends! How was your Monday? Mine was a whirlwind, but they always tend to feel like that! I’m glad I started with a quick 30-minute workout though. It definitely helped me “breathe and reboot” if you know what I mean. 😉
I don’t know about you, but after so.many.months in my cozies, I’m looking forward to getting dressed up for a change!
It makes me feel good to get dolled up and remember I’m a woman underneath the daily grind of work, chores and parenting. It’s a lot, right?!
Good morning friends! I had a great night last night celebrating Marianna’s birthday.
Our friend Andrea hosted a small spa night birthday party for at her house and it was LOVELY! All the little touches were so perfect from comfy robes and slippers to hand and feet masks and eye patches. We ate the delicious pasta, drank wine, laughed and cried when Marianna took time out to tell each of us what she cherished about our friendship. ♥
I left there with such a full heart, feeling so very grateful for my girls! We haven’t gotten together in a long time,
Hi friends! The first part of the year seemed to drag on and on, but now the end of the year is upon us quick. I’m so excited for this time of year! I love everything that the change of seasons into Fall and Winter brings- a chance to slow down, eat hearty/home cooked meals, baked goodies, all the decor, festive activities and traditions that go along with it.
I’ve already started sourcing holiday decor for our Thanksgiving table and I’m planning when I’ll begin putting up holiday decor. I’ve even got holiday pajamas for the whole family on the brain!
Hi friends! Happy Friday! I’m so happy to make it to the weekend! Things went from busy to worse this week with a broken hot water heater and washing machine that bit the dust. And, we have a leaky pipe. Oh, the joys of homeownership! But, nothing that can’t be fixed and we’re all healthy and happy at home, so that’s great!
Today, I have a dressing room post featuring all Fall styles from Walmart! I’ll admit, I honestly didn’t realize how much Walmart had upped their fashion game until they reached out to me and said they’d like to collaborate on this post!
Hi friends! Happy Friday! I’m so ready for the weekend! How about you??
This week felt so out of whack with the kids being home from school for two days in the middle of the week, and now we’re looking forward to a weekend with not much on the agenda. Sometimes those are the best kind of weekends!
