Organizing My Pantry
Hi friend! Welcome to a fresh, new week and a day honoring Martin Luther King, Jr. I hope you had a great weekend. It got really cold here, we woke up yesterday to 32 degrees! My daughter is recovering from a cold and I’m trying hard not to get it. I started to feel bad Sunday morning, but I started taking this and am feeling better so hopefully it’s helping!
My Pantry Organization
I know lots of us like to get our home cleaned up and organized after the new year and I’m no exception. If you read my new year intentions post, you know that one of our home goals is to make family dinners a regular occurance.
We’re off to a good start with figuring out what everyone likes to eat, meal planning and getting groceries over the weekend. I also went through my pantry, and threw out any old/expired food and tidied things up a bit.
Since first moving into our home three years ago, I’ve made this space more minimal by decluttering and moving the vases and holiday decor elsewhere.
PANTRY BEFORE
PANTRY AFTER
It looks so much cleaner now and I breath easier when I enter. Before, it just had too much going on (for my comfort level).
Glass Jars • Labels (similar)
I have also decanted most of our dry goods into glass jars with airtight bamboo lids and that’s working well for us.
This walk-in pantry has floor to ceiling organization with pull-out drawers, lots of shelves, and counter space. It also has a ladder rail and wooden ladder, but I really don’t use it since it’s easier to just use the shorter, fold up step ladder.
This is the view of the pantry when you walk straight in. I’m often rearranging things on the counter, but here’s how it looks now. My goal is to keep things pretty, but also functional.
As you turn to the right, we have our air fryer that gets frequent use, and then the baskets with easy access grab and go for school lunches.
All of my cookbooks are on the right side too, along with our binders of favorite recipes.
Snack Baskets • Pumpkin Dutch Oven
I use the high shelves to store serving dishes and dutch ovens.
The toaster oven is new and was a request from my son because he likes to prepare wings in the toaster oven. We’ve also been using it for regular toast, so have put aside our regular toaster for now. If we end up not needing the regular toaster anymore, I’ll donate it.
I really love having the large pull out drawers for extra storage. I found these large lidded baskets from Pottery Barn and I like how they conceal all the things I organize loosely by category.
These far right drawers are the ones we reach for most often, so I don’t use the lidded baskets here.
Top drawer has mostly bread, buns, and canned goods.
And the lower drawer is our pasta and dry baking goods (sugars and flour).
The middle drawers contain our sweets, hot cocoa and baking goods like chocolate chips.
Below that are items for cookie/cupcake decorating.
On the left is where I store our Keurig, and some kitchen and bar accessories.
Below that is our beloved popcorn maker and travel lunch/snack bags.
Tineco Floor Cleaner • Dog Food Container
To the far left is our aprons, mop and vacuum, and dog food.
I’m so grateful for this space and how much storage and organization it offers. I’m sure I’ll be rearranging it before too long since it’s something I naturally enjoy doing. 🙂

WoW I’ts amazing!!!
Thanks so much Giulia!
Beautiful! And your minimalism is inspiring me. Curious on your Tineco floor cleaner. I also got one a couple months ago, and I feel like it leaves streaks on the floor. Do you ever find that? Am I doing it wrong? Ha!
Hi Abby, thank you! I haven’t had streaks with the Tineco. I’m not sure why it’s leaving streaks on yours??
Your pantry is simply amazing. Could you come and organize my sewing room? It’s definitely outgrowing its space.
I would LOVE to!! My next career is going to be helping people get organized:)
Would you ever do a cookbook tour? I’m always curious about what cookbooks people enjoy using.

Love following you for recipes and health tips. Curious question: How do snack bags of chips and cookies in pantry fit with your fitness ethos? We rarely had these in our home when kids were growing up and now. And never in those expensive individual snack bags. Preservatives and additives abound in these items.
That’s such a good question and I limit those too, would honestly like to get away from them altogether.
If I ever build a home from the ground up, I’ll use your pantry as my inspo. I love how much space you have.
The pantry is such a good feature in this house!
Love this! For what do you use your rails/rod at the top?
Oh there is a ladder that I didn’t show!
Wow, I just loved reading your pantry organization journey! 🥳 I can totally relate to the struggle of managing space and keeping everything tidy. Last month, I tackled mine too, and it felt so liberating to categorize snacks by color—who knew food could look like a rainbow? 🌈 Your tips on using clear containers are spot-on; they’ve made such a difference in finding things quickly! Plus, I am definitely stealing that idea of labeling jars—I can’t believe how much easier meal prep becomes when you can see everything at a glance. Thanks for sharing your beautiful Snow Rider 3D transformation!
