Hi friend! Yay for Friday!! Our first week of school in the books! I’m exhausted, so I can only imagine how the kids, faculty and staff are feeling. Needless to say, I’m ready for the weekend!
New Blog Design
I’m also THRILLED!! to share my updated blog design with you! It’s been months in the making with a few learning curves thrown in, but I’m loving the new look and functionality.
My goal was to keep things looking familiar in a toned down, more soothing color palette, but more importantly, make it more functional and easy for you to find things.

New at Loft | Fall Fashion
Today I have a brand new post featuring what’s new at Loft. I love shopping Loft because it’s so easy to mix and match styles. Plus, they always have a great selection of casual and workwear.
Bonus, nearly everything is on sale!
Size Reference: I’m a shorty (5’1) and petite, weighing about 110. I typically wear size 0p/25 jeans, XS or XSP in tops and dresses.

Loft Jeans & Shorts Outfits
Let’s start with these cute jeans, a high waist option in a light wash with a fun chewed hem. The crop length is perfect for pairing with booties this fall.
The sweater tank is giving me Fall vibes, but with Summer weather! Aren’t the colors in it pretty?! And you can switch up the jeans for pants or a skirt and make it work friendly.

I’m actually wearing this top today! It’s super lightweight with the crochet detail, but I love the way it’s dressed up with the collar.

Casual Friday! This blouse is definitely Fall friendly with the navy, tan and cabernet colors, but the style is cool enough to wear now. It’s fully lined with a flutter sleeve and high neck. The peacock print is so playful!

We’re still rocking jean shorts over here and I wanted to pick up this pair before the sell out on super sale! This style is a comfortable high waist with a raw edge hem. The light wash is pretty in person and looks great with this light aqua pullover. Relaxed goodness!

Chambray is always a good idea, especially when it’s this soft! The top is a tunic style with a button front, dolman sleeve and double front pockets.
I paired the top with my favorite Paige Cindy jeans. I like these so much I have them in blue demin and also washed black. They were too long, so I cut the hem to shorten it.

I’m crazy for these high waist wide leg jeans that give even us shorties legs for days! They dark sold wash helps with that, along with the pointed toe heels. The top is a keeper too – cute mixed striped pattern in a very soft olive green and white.

I like how this sleeveless top gets us in the mood for Fall with a mock neck and Fall tones. It has a subtle texture to it too.

This top is work friendly, but also looks great worn casually with jeans. The puff sleeves make your waist appear smaller and it also has a textured feel to it. The top buttons at the back of the neck.

Loft Pants Outfits
GET THESE PANTS! They are incredibly comfortable and easy to wear! I love the crop style and how relaxed they fit. They hit high waist with a tapered leg, pockets and button/belt loops. You’ll love wearing them to work and I can see myself wearing them to the school when I volunteer, out to lunch/dinner or even church.

The pants can be worn with nearly any style top, and this cap sleeve print is a lightweight work option. The top would also look great with jeans, picking up the navy color.

You can’t go wrong with this classic look. And I like how the white button down top has petite black dots for a change. It’s also worth noting that I’ve had these Ann Taylor pumps for YEARS and they are the most comfortable and chic, forever in style. The heel has been slightly updated since I bought mine.

Lastly, I found a lovely Fall dress that you can wear for so many occasions this Fall. This dress is midi length with a smocked waist, split neck and short sleeves.

HI, Megan. I do love the new layout of your website. It took me a minute to figure out how to easily get to your daily postings directly from the site as opposed the email link, which is also still available, obviously, but I wanted to try both and successfully did so. The only thing I would offer is that the font, and particularly the pink for the links, is too light for my eyes. A little too muted….It was harder to read and I kept adjusting my screen and desk lamp. In fairness, I wear corrective lenses so my vision is obviously compromised, but that is why I mention it. That is not typically a problem for me so I was a little surprised by just how noticeable it was for me. Just wanted to share some feedback that you were seeking.

Agreed! I wasn’t sure where the latest post was. And, I couldn’t find a date on the posts to confirm that how recently it was published.
Hi! I also had the same experience of not being sure which post was the most recent. I went to the email and clicked from there but it would be nice to be able to figure it out straight from the blog page.

Hello Megan. I agree with the comment about the lighter muted lettering. The change has made your blog difficult to read and my eyes get very tired quickly. Long time reader here. Started when James was a baby! You asked for feedback so here it it’s….. It’s too hard to find the latest blog post. Too much time scrolling looking for it and the date it was posted makes it much harder. Definitely much more confusing and difficult to find. No offense just giving you the feedback you asked for. Love the new design! But also found it hard to find where the new posts were located. I also miss having the dates on the posts. Maybe adding those back in and showing on the main page would help people know it’s a new post?

The overall effect is beautiful! Very soothing. I echo some of the other’s comments – I like having the most recent post (with dates) available above the fold, then maybe Featured Posts or the Most Loved module. And the reason is, when I go to other lifestyle blogs that don’t have the most recent post on top, I assume (probably incorrectly) that they’re no longer actively blogging.
One of my favorite things about your blog is it’s still a blog! You haven’t converted into just Insta sales posts – I love your writing and your inspirational content. I hope that never goes away! Thanks for all you do – I always check your blog first thing with my morning coffee. ❤️
