The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is a great opportunity to refresh wardrobe staples like boots, jeans, jackets, intimates, accessories, and activewear – along with beauty and home items.  And let’s not forget Christmas gifts!

I always buy the things I know I’ll wear or use for years to come. I also buy my kids’ winter jackets and look for good deals on menswear.

During the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, the items are on sale up to 40% off, but when the sale ends, the prices go up to full price.

As always, I’m really looking forward to shopping the sale with Ali-Shaun.  It’s always great girlfriend time and I can’t wait to share it with you next week!

HOW DO I SAVE things TO A WISHLIST?

Good question! Before I share what to add to your Wish List, let me show you how to create/add to your Wish List.

First, sign into your Nordstrom account, then click “Add to Wish List” when you want to save something.

Then, you can access your Wish List by clicking “Wish List” in the drop down menu in your account. These screenshots are from when you’re shopping via a desktop computer, but it’s the same process on a mobile device.

I’ve shopped and shared the Nordstrom sale for many years now and have become more selective with the things I choose to share and work hard to narrow it down to the best of the best!

Of course, boots and booties is one of the first things I like to check out each year.  I didn’t see as many styles that I was crazy for, but #1 is sure to be a top seller, along with the darling modern western style.  #10 has that front dip that gives the flattering illusion of longer legs.  I like it in the darker brown color, but I want to see how the “new tortilla” looks in person – kinda seemed a little yellow online.

I always like a knee high boot and #13 has a nice pointed toe, casual slouchiness and not too high of a heel.  Think about pairing the new Marc Fisher boot with skirts and dresses.  It looks fresh and chic in white too.

I have last year’s version of #15 combat boot and those are so cool.  You can wear them with everything from leggings and jeans to skirts and dresses.

As for the flats, I like the slide in the textured knit for a pop of color to your neutral outfit.  I’m also really looking forward to trying on the creamy colored Birkenstock– I hope they are as comfy as they are cute!

On the sneaker front, I added more functional training/running shoes to my Activewear board, but those featured here fit the stylish/fashionable category.  Rhonda loves her P448 and the new OnCloud are sure to be a hit.

If your rain boots have seen better days, the dark green short style is worth taking a look at.

I found several new tops to add to my wardrobe this year.  I like the mix of lightweight sweaters, short sleeves, pullovers and even the Splendid tee I love is included in the sale.  These are perfect for our mostly mild climate.

Nordstrom did well with their denim and pants selection this year.  I have lots of jeans I want to try on and I like the mix of styles from crop, straight leg, wide leg, dark and light wash.  And I’m also intrigued by the faux leather and dark jeans.

Oooh, so many good coats/jackets – both for work and play.  Several of the cardigans we’ve seen before, so I only included my top 4 faves.  The popular Barefoot Dreams is back in a lightweight hoodie style I really like.

A big yay for the Farm Rio dress, it’s sure to be a hit with its fun color and playful style.  I also saw several dresses for the office and for a night out.  The faux leather skirts are fun to dress up for Fall and Winter, I found a few different styles, depending on your preference.

I also love that tank wide leg jumpsuit, but I’m not sure how it will fit a petite frame.

This is one category that gets a lot of much deserved attention.  A good pair of pajamas is a Must Have, as well as quality slippers, good undergarments and things that make you feel extra comfy and cozy.

I was a little disappointed that there were no Tory Burch bags in the sale, but I do really like the Rebecca Minkoff (so stylish) and the Kate Spade & Allsaints crossbody bags.  The Madewell crossbody with striped strap is awesome, but I need to try it on to see how large it is in person.

Other items to keep your eye on are the Quay sunnies, versatile hats and new gold jewelry.  I really like that fringe poncho too!
