October Loves

Hello friends!  It’s amazing what some good sleep and girlfriend time can do for you!  A bunch of us went to Round Top this weekend for the semi-annual antiques fair and good old fashion fun.  We spend the day laughing and shopping and eating and laughing some more.  That 24-hour getaway helped get my mind clear and ready for the week.

I’m one of those weird people that likes Monday because I think of it as a mini “fresh start” every week.  As long as I get to spend some time reflecting, planning, and getting organized on Sunday, my Mondays are my chance to GSD! Let’s do it!

OCTOBER LOVES

Today, it’s time for a new Monthly Loves. Black Wrap Bracelet • Y’all know how often I wear these wrap bracelets and I’m crazy for the all black wrap, especially this time of year.  It’s perfect year round, but especially during the month of Halloween and for any night out.

Tan Crossbody • Here’s a better look at the tan crossbody bag.  It’s made of a gorgeous tan leather with a woven chain strap and magnetic closure.  I found it at Nordstrom Rack for a steal – normally $195, now $74.

Button Fly Jeans • The jeans are a new fave! I love the button fly and raw edge step hem.  With the hem being shorter in the front, it lets a bit of ankle show above your booties.

Slip on Sneakers • Y’all have been asking for another good wedge sneaker since the Caslon Aiden sold out.  This one looks like a great alternative and I also found this pair by Steve Madden for under $70.

 

 

Suede Slide • I’ve been searching for a perfect Fall neutral slide for a couple of months and these are the WINNER!  They are so good, comfortable, look great on your foot and go with absolutely everything.  They’ll be great for work (teachers too!) or weekend.  You can wear them with jeans, skirts, slacks, or dresses- basically all of your Fall wardrobe.

My favorite hair texturizing spray is on sale, which is the perfect time to buy it because it’s pricey.  My stylist turned me onto it and now I use it everyday that I style my hair.  You spray it onto your hair and it gives it an undone, “piecey” look that helps your style look more modern, textured, and volumized.  It can also act as an alternative to dry shampoo because it absorbs oil at the roots.

Speaking of sales, the best seamless undies are 40% off now.  I promise you that they are THE MOST comfortable panties you will ever wear and they don’t leave panty lines.  I’ve heard from so many of you that love them too, but if you still haven’t ordered yourself a pair, do yourself a favor and try them and be freed from uncomfortable panty hell.

Y’all were asking about the checkered crossbody bag I was wearing in Round Top, so I wanted to link it here.  It’s the same one from this Amazon post and Round Top was the first chance I got to wear it.

I didn’t buy anything in Round Top, but couldn’t stop thinking about the adorable bee bag strap that Ali-Shaun and Tarah got and I came home and did a little online hunting.  I’m soooo excited to find one that looks exactly like it!  I want to buy one and hook it onto my checkered crossbody!

Nail Polish • Do you stick with one signature nail color or like to change it up?  I have my go-to colors, but I also like going darker in the Fall and Winter.  This black is so chic and called “wicked”!  I think it looks even better with shorter nails.

Pullover • Tomorrow is the day Houstonian’s have been waiting for- we’re supposed to wake up to temps in the low 60s and end in the low 80s.  THAT will feel amazing!!  This is exactly the kind of v-neck sweater I love to throw on with jeans and booties.  It’s only $35 and also comes in a rosy color.
