Today is a happy day because I finally created a much-needed drop zone in our home just off the back garage. We normally enter the house through that garage door and, as a result, everything was getting dumped onto the kitchen counters. No more! I’m sharing all the details at I Heart Organizing today if you’d like to check it out.
And, on Honey We’re Healthy, I complied a list of my essential kitchen items with where to find them cheap!

I’m excited to be working with Fabulous K again on some tweaks to my blog! I hope to show you some fun changes soon!

Meet Megan
Hi! I’m Megan, mom to a thoughtful teenager and spunky young girl. We call Houston home and recently moved into our dream home. I traded my lawyer hat to become a full-time blogger in 2010. I love sharing my passion for affordable fashion, home decor, organization, & fitness to help inspire you to take care of you!
Yes, isn't that where all the crap lands?! We made our sunroom, where you enter at the garage into a mudroom with storage for that reason! All the stuff was landing on my countertops which doesn't look good but is also kinda gross if you think about it too long:)!!

We really need something similar (same thing, entering through the garage = kitchen dump zone) and I love the mirrored table!
Can't wait to see what you've done here because I know I'm just as guilty as anyone for just dropping things when I come in the front door. Mail is my own worst enemy…
I think a few GREAT knives in your kitchen are the best thing you can possibly give yourself. There is nothing worse than trying to prepare foods with a dull knife.
i LOVE your mirrored table! do you mind sharing where you bought it from? thanks so much!
What a beautiful side table! You're taste is exquisite.
Nice work! I love it!
Where oh where did you get that mirror in the background? I'm so in love with everything in this space!
So pretty, M! And I didn't know we had the same mirror {the round one in the shot}. Can't wait to see the details over with Jen.
My kitchen is chaos too – thanks for the inspiration to create a new drop zone!
(And, I love your husband's wallet! Very functional!)
Love that table. I will have to go check it out!
Love the mirror table! Such a functional and beautiful addition.
I LOVE your idea for your entryway! The mirrored table is just gorgeous! Coincidentally I had also posted an entry today about functional entryway organization in an apartment, but I used wall space instead. Not as pretty as yours, of course, but a different aspect! Hope you check it out 🙂

I love what you did here. I need to think about incorporating bowls and trays on my entry table. Thanks for the tip!
love it — where did you get mirror — sooooo pretty!!!!
