Salted Chocolate Caramel Brownies (and Other Party Food)
I admit to having a big sweet tooth that craves chocolate, but eating clean during the week helps me feel less guilty about indulging every so often. My Ghirardelli cookbook has a recipe for Chocolate Caramel Brownies that I made this weekend and shared with a few friends who came over on Saturday night.

We also munched on these Pepperoni and Cheese Croissants that I found on The Girl Who Ate Everything. Holy cow they are tasty! And really easy to make.
And of course we had a meat and cheese plate. This one had brie, manchego, drunken goat, and creamy gorgonzola with salami, proscuitto, grapes, honey, nuts, olives, and crackers. Always a hit for get togethers and so good with wine. I have no idea what happened during the game, but I enjoyed the food, wine, and friends:) I hope y’all had a great weekend too! Back to the gym:) * * * * * |
Oh those brownies!
Yum! Since we don't keep chocolate in the house anymore, I have lost my taste for it. But, put all those other goodies in front of me and I can't resist. Just posted about an antpasto tray yesterday.
This all looks delicious. I would be right there with you, enjoying the wine more than the game 🙂
Hi Megan – Do you mind me asking the name of your Ghiradelli cookbook? BTW, your food looks so good
Hi Jennifer- I just updated the post with a picture of the cookbook- it's called The Ghirardelli Chocolate Cookbook.
I can personally attest to all of it! I think I mentioned the brownies at least 5 times yesterday.
I love the cheese spread!

I always love football for the food and drink too 😉 I rarely know what's happening in the game – I'm more of a basketball girl. Your parties look like fun – I'd be camped out with the cheeses and wine – good cheese is my biggest temptation!
Mmmm…that is a whole lot of good looking eats! I do the same – eat healthy through the week and then don't feel bad about indulging on the weekends. Thanks for sharing this brownie recipe, looks totally amazing!
Oh my goodness, YUM! I love those chocolates so seeing them in a brownie is just beyond tempting! I will definitely have to make that!!
WOW – the brownies look delicious! Looks like such a fun party! I love hosting as well, and am always looking for easy foods to serve – great choices!
Oh my everything looks so good!
SCRUMPTIOUS! I just had chocolate chip salted caramel bars my friend brought over and I went bananas. I am not even a dessert girl. So yummy. Love your photos, too!
Wowza….looks amazing! This girl's craving chocolate at 11:30pm…yikes! Got to get out of blog land 😉
The brownies look delicious. During which step do you add the butter?
I would love to make those brownies. Where did you buy the Ghiradelli Sweet Ground Chocolate and Cocoa? I checked my local grocery store and World Market and was unable to find it. Thanks!
I combined everything and then discovered there are no directions on when to add butter. I had regular (salted) butter so I was planning on omitting salt from the recipe, but forgot. So I kept salt in recipe and added regular butter. They are a tad salty but so good besides that. It would be nice to update recipe on when to add butter.
Also to previous comment, I had to search around some to find the cocoa, but I think I found it at Target. I'm surprised that World Market didn't have it
