Wardrobe Wednesday | Tunics & Dresses

Happy hump day friends!  It's been a busy week here since finishing up my bikini contest last weekend.  It was a long day and I'm working on a detailed recap post, but for now, you can see some photos on my Instagram that I shared from the contest.  I'm so happy that I made it to the finish line!    I've definitely been indulging the past few days, but I'm also still training with my trainer so I don't lose what I've worked so hard for.  Other than that, we've been taking it pretty easy and enjoying some pool time.  It's the peak of our hot season here and the pool is the only way to be outside without feeling like your dying!  Tomorrow, I'll be heading to Atlanta for the Haven blog conference and I cannot wait to see all my friends in person!  Are you going?  I'd love to meet you!

I might be packing this super cute tunic dress I found at the adorable online boutique Goodnight Macaroon (which has free shipping).  It can be worn as a dress like I'm wearing here, or a top or even a bathing suit cover up.  Since I'm so short, it works well as a dress on me.  I got the XS, but I'm going to have to be careful washing it because it's 100% cotton and I don't want it to shrink.

I'm still totally digging my short hair.  I curled it with a curling wand here, but with this summer heat, the curls don't last too long unless you use a super strong hairspray.

I also recently picked up a tunic top at another online boutique Chicwish that I'm loving.  They have really affordable pieces that are different that what you might see at most stores.  It's that comfy cute look I like to run around in on casual days.

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is not disappointing this year!  It's early access now for cardholders, but opens to everyone on Friday (yippee!!) and I'll be back with more sale picks.  See my first round (including boots and booties!! here).

I haven't set foot in the store (they might frown upon me entering in pj's), but I've done my fair share of online shopping! I'm so bummed this tote sold out before I could order it! Gotta be quick! I'm going to keep checking back because they often restock.  I did pick up this quilted cross body bag for under $22!  Perfect for a night out!

I'm smitten over their dress sales, several styles are work appropriate and could also go from day to night. That zipper one (#4) is one of my favorites!

For more casual dresses, the selection of maxis and day dresses is great too.  Can't beat these sale prices! I have #1 (in a different print), #3 (different print), #5, and #6 and they are all easy to wear and perfect with flats or wedges.  I'm XS in all of them for size reference.

  1. Congratulations on your bikini contest! Cannot wait to read your post on the contest. Both outfits you posted look really good on you and are perfect for your build, not sure they would look right on me though.

  2. Always love your picks! I just ordered the Gorjana Taner Pendant necklace after seeing it in one of your Instagram pics. Can't wait to receive it. Also, the Leather Vegan Pocket Tote is still available in black and cognac fyi. Not as fun as the green one you linked, but still a great option!

    1. Chelsea, you will love that necklace! I seriously wear mine all the time. That and the initial necklace. I hope the green bag comes back in stock, but you're right, the black and cognac is a good option too. :)

  3. Love that tunic with the royal blue jeans! I'm always looking for new ways to wear my blue jeans. I haven't stepped foot in Nordies yet either, but am doing plenty of damage from my couch! Hope you are enjoying your down time after the contest. You looked fabulous!

    1. I got those blue jeans a while ago on sale and they sold out right after. I really like that brand Treasure & Bond, have a few pairs of their jeans and they fit well and reasonably priced. We're actually going out to dinner tonight! :) Thank you for the compliment!
