Hello friends! I hope your weekend was nice and relaxing and you’re beginning today with a fresh start! That’s how I like to start Mondays! We can easily drag into…
Hi guys! How was your weekend? Never enough weekend time before Monday rolls again around, right?! Well, might as well embrace it and the fact that we’re officially in April!…
How’s your week going friends?! If I didn’t already know it, last weekend taught me that I am definitely NOT 21 anymore! Three jam-packed days of classes and meetings and…
Thank you to ShopStyle and Macy’s for sponsoring today’s post. Good morning friends, and happy almost Friday! Back in January, I resolved to have more fun in my life. I…
Hi friend! I hope you had a wonderful weekend. I took advantage of it and relaxed as much as possible since last week was so jam packed. Jordan’s first soccer…
I’m so excited to share our New Orleans trip with you today! We ate, we drank, saw the sights, shopped and hung out at the pool and did I mention, ate?! It was a lot to pack into two days, but we made every second count! This recap post was becoming longer than a novel, so I’m breaking it into two posts- Day 1 today and Day 2 tomorrow. You’ll definitely want to come back so I can share ALL the good food we ate with you!
Hi! I’m Megan, mom to a thoughtful teenager and spunky young girl. We call Houston home and recently moved into our dream home. I traded my lawyer hat to become a full-time blogger in 2010. I love sharing my passion for affordable fashion, home decor, organization, & fitness to help inspire you to take care of you!
Looks like a well spent time! Your son is sooo cute, you have lovely family! 🙂

Thank you Donna! I agree! 😉
I know James enjoyed having some fun with mom and dad. I have heard that is a wonderful place for families.
It is! And for all ages too!
Your son is so cute!
Thank you Lori!
I adore this post. I am dying over James' face with the sunbutter! Looked like a fantastic and relaxing getaway.
He definitely has his opinions about food! 😉
looks like a fun time! where did you guys stay? any recommendations?
Hi Lori! The place we stayed at is actually called Lost Pines. I do recommend it.
sounds like a nice relaxing weekend! totally need to checkout how you curl your hair, I always have a issue trying to get both sides of my head to match when I curl them! lol
I don't think about that! I did a post about my curling wand with a video tutorial (not mine) in the Fashion tab at the top of my blog. It might help! 🙂
Looks like you had a great time! Your son adorable 🙂
Thank you! I'll always accept a sweet compliment on my son!
My goodness, he's the spitting image of you 🙂 SUCH a cutie. I need to tell my hubby about this place. I feel like we need more mini getaways with Miss Marli. Thanks for sharing this and can't wait to see the finished product on your hair!!! So wish I could sport the long a-line bob.

That long bob would look great on you! My hair stylist was too afraid to go for it on this cut, but she said if I really want it shorter next time, she'll do it. She said it would be really short in the back.
His face after eating that sunbutter! I don't even know what sunbutter is.
Looks like you guys had a nice, relaxing weekend.
I don't either, but he didn't like it! 😉 The waitress said it was supposed to be like peanut butter.
Fabulous photos! Looks like you had a great time! I've just discovered your blog tonight (and I have blog crush!)
Oh so glad you did! Thanks for leaving a comment!
Looks like a great weekend with that sweet boy and your good egg! 😉 xoxo
We will miss you in Galveston!! 🙁
Glad it was a fun family weekend! We went to Lost Pines a few weeks ago for the first time and loved it. I discovered a delicious drink on their pool menu…Key Lime Pie. It was a mix of piña colada and Margarita. It sounds a little weird, but the mix was perfection.
Oh man, I didn't even pay attention to anything but the pina coladas, but that does sound good!
Looks like a nice weekend, minus the bed sharing part. I'm pretty sure if I shared with my son I'd wake up with a few bruises, lol. He's a mover. Also-love the cell phone–too cute. They pick up on everything!
Oh my gosh, the elbows, heels, feet to my stomach. He's not a good bed sharer! 🙂
What a fun weekend! I love seeing snippets of your family more and more!
