Hello friends! I hope you had a wonderful weekend. I got to sleep in on Saturday ’til 8am when my best friend, Karen called. I was happy for the wakeup and happy to talk to her! It was a weekend alone, which I used to get ahead on laundry, meal prepping and blog posts. I even did a Saturday morning spin class- the hour one that feels like I’m gonna die, but, makes me feel so good later! And I got to meet a couple of friends for Sunday brunch at Common Bond. If you’re in Houston,View Post
If organizing is a hobby, then it’s probably my #1! My parents tell me I started cleaning and organizing and rearranging my room as young as two years old, and now I couldn’t be happier that I have a whole household of my own to organize. It’s one of my favorite things to do for fun! #nerd

Hello friends! I hope y’all are having a great week! About a month ago I shared the routine chart I made for my son and it has been going really well. I’ve been waking up early and I will wipe off the previous days’ checkmarks, write today’s date at the top, put a sweet note at the bottom, then set it onto the counter for James to fill out as he completes the tasks in the morning.
I also fill up a cup of water for him and sit it nearby with his vitamins.View Post
Hi friends! I hope your Summer is off to a great start! There’s no denying that this has been a crazy year with everything going on and we’re not out of the woods yet with Coronavirus and staying in most of the time.
Last Summer we had such a great time doing all kinds of fun things, going here and there and James was in a wonderful three week academic camp where he really thrived. Unfortunately, the camp canceled this Summer and we haven’t enrolled in anything else. We also haven’t made any travel plans. 🙁
Good morning friends! I hope your week is off to a great start! It’s been raining and thunder storming like crazy here. I thought we were gonna lose power yesterday, but thankfully, we didn’t. The good thing is, my yard could really use the water, so that’s a positive!
Yesterday, I shared the Amazon Big Style Sale with you and I’m updating my post with the latest deals, so be sure to check back HERE so you don’t miss anything! It’s the first sale like this Amazon has ever done that focuses exclusively on fashion,View Post
Hi friends! Welcome back, I hope your week is off to a great start. Today, I want to talk about how to make the most of the rest of the year. The start of 2020 held so much hope and promise for a new decade, then so many devastating events occurred starting with the fires in Australia, Coronavirus, and the heartbreaking deaths of Ahmaud Arbery and George Floyd.
George Floyd was laid to rest in Houston where he grew up and our city is dedicating this day to him. May George rest in peace with his mama whom he called out to during his last moments here on earth.View Post
Hello friends! Welcome to a new week! And Valentine’s week! ♥ Do y’all have any plans? Nothing big here, but I love to give the kids a treat and make it special for them. It’s on Friday this year – our movie night, so the perfect chance to stay in and cuddle up on the couch together.
Today, I have a new organization post and I hope it inspires you to tackle an organization project in your own home. Last month, I shared my pantry organization and holiday storage closet, and today, it’s my home office closet!View Post
Good morning friends! I hope your week is off to a great start! Real life talk- I got a mammogram yesterday, so if you’ve been needing to get one yourself, here’s your sign to go ahead and get it scheduled! I’ve never had one hurt and it really only takes about 10 minutes for the imaging process. Just do it!
Now let’s jump in and talk routines. If you subscribe to my weekend newsletter, you may have read this, but I’m sharing it again for those that missed it.
It’s no secret that the last year of my life has been pretty challenging as I’ve walked in the divorced parenting shoes.View Post
Hi friends! How’s your week going so far? This first week after the long winter break has been pretty good! I’m sure you could guess that I like getting back into the schedule and routine. Which probably won’t surprise you that I also like to keep things super organized in my home. If you caught my holiday storage post, you saw a bit of that.
Today, I’m pumped to show you my pantry in all her glory! I’m thankful to have a large walk-in pantry that also doubles as decor storage. About two years ago,View Post
Good morning friends! Well, today is the first day the kiddos go back to school, so we’re up and at ’em early for the first time in weeks! The excitement of the first day back makes getting up and out the door easier, but I’m sure I’ll hit the wall later today.
I’m so excited to share the first of two organizing projects I’ve been working on over the Christmas break. Before we dive in, I have to admit,View Post
Hello friends! Welcome to the start of a brand NEW YEAR! Are we all loving it?? I know I am!
We celebrated the start of the new decade at Marianna’s home with her lovely family and several good friends, including Ali-Shaun and Stephanie. Marianna is from Venezuela and definitely has a knack for entertaining, providing delicious, beautiful food, and is just an awesome person to be around.
We ate, drank, talked and laughed and even Jordan lasted until the NYC new year countdown!
DECEMBER LOVES WINNER!

I recently shared on Stories what I do on the weekends when I’m home alone and I got tons of feedback from y’all.
Whether you’re single, married, divorced, with kids or without, taking time to care for yourself is critical for your well-being. The older I get, the more I learn that I don’t do well when things are too crammed together, overscheduled or chaotic. I need that ‘white space’ in my life to unwind and decompress.
I’m choosing to look at my weekends as a gift,View Post
Hi friends! Welcome back! Thank you for your patience while I got my thoughts together for this post. I’ve been surprised by how emotional writing about my journey has felt. I’ve cried many times while writing both posts. Remembering Dennis and now for this part, my Dad, has brought back so many feelings.
I hope parts of my journey inspire you in your own life, or that it simply helps knit us closer together. Opening up and being vulnerable tends to do that.

When Jordan started preschool this year and I shared how emotional it was for me, many of you sent me the sweetest messages saying you’ve been following me since I was pregnant with her and can’t believe how time has flown! I’m with you- it goes so very fast! But did you know that I’ve been blogging since my son James was just 4 months old? He’s nine now! My 10 year blogging anniversary was this summer!
So many of you have been with me (and James!) from the very beginning and I’m so very grateful for you!View Post
Good morning friends! Can you believe we’re already to August?! Where has this summer gone? I shouldn’t be surprised- every year it seems to fly by and before we know it, school is about to start again. For us, the official first day of school starts on August 14, but the two days before that is when the kids get to meet the teacher and see who will be in their class.
This is an especially big deal for Jordan this year since she’ll be starting PK3. Luckily, she’s familiar with the school and even many of the teachers since James has been going there since he was in PK3.View Post

Good morning friends! I hope you had a wonderful weekend! I’m back from a quick girls’ trip to San Antonio and cannot wait to share the trip recap with you. We ate, drank, shopped and most importantly laughed til we cried! James mentioned to me yesterday that kids laugh 400 times a day and adults just 15! Isn’t that wild?! Bring on the FUN!
It’s so crazy to look back and remember how s l o w January felt and now we’re looking up and are already halfway through the year!View Post

Good Monday morning friends! I hope y’all had a fabulous weekend and are looking forward to this fresh, new week.
Everyday, I’m grateful to receive messages from you commenting on my positive attitude. For today’s post, I wanted to dive into that because my true passion for this blog is to inspire you to ‘take care of YOU’. If you’ve been with me for long, you know that mantra was passed down to me from my Grandma Nola and I want to pay it forward.View Post

I’m finally back to “normal” after our Memorial Weekend trip – it always takes me a few days back home to recover. And we’re looking at just one more day of school before summer break officially starts. This year started off so slow, but sure has sped up these last few months.
MORNING TIPS FOR A PRODUCTIVE DAY
Today, I’m sharing how I start my day so that I can get things done (GSD!) and be productive. I’ve found that when my morning is off to a good start,View Post
Oh yes, baby! It’s time to GSD! If you’ve followed me for awhile and especially on Stories, you know I love to Get Sh*t Done! Some of you smarties even recommended that we name the fitness eBook “Get Fit Done” and I have to say, I like it! 😉 So what does it look like when I GSD? I don’t usually preplan or schedule in my GSD days, it’s more like I wake up and suddenly feel like I need one and then I get to it!
