If organizing is a hobby, then it’s probably my #1! My parents tell me I started cleaning and organizing and rearranging my room as young as two years old, and now I couldn’t be happier that I have a whole household of my own to organize. It’s one of my favorite things to do for fun! #nerd
Hi friend! Welcome to a fresh, new week! We had a lot going on this weekend – Astros game, my son’s track meet, celebrating Tarah’s birthday at Hamburger Mary’s, and celebrating Jordan’s friend’s birthday at the park. If you’ve never been to Hamburger Mary’s, it’s definitely a treat! See my Stories for a sneak peek!
I’m making sure to get my favorite Monday workout in, it’s an hour long HITT class with weights and it’s a great way to start the week.
How I Organize Everything in My Bathroom
A couple weeks ago, I welcomed you into my primary bathroom and today I’m sharing how I organize everything in my bathroom.
Hi friend! Can you believe we’re already in March?! It feels like the first two months of the year went fast and here we are, about to head out for Spring Break in a couple of weeks!
If you’ve been here for long, you know I love to be productive and get things done, but I also like to be intentional about how I spend my time. I can get lost in the concept of “slow living” but I also know that, in my life, sometimes I have to hustle in the present so I can savor the down time in the future.
Hi friend! I hope you are doing amazing! If you’re looking for Tuesday Goodies, you can find it here. And, I’ll be going live on Amazon today sharing the best Daily Deals. There’s several gift ideas for Christmas if you’re knocking your shopping out early.
Hi friend! I hope your week is going amazingly well! Ours is a short one with parent/teacher conferences starting Thursday and a girls’ trip to Roundtop on Friday! I’m sooo looking forward to it! Join me on Stories for all the fun!
BLOG UPDATE
Usually on Wednesdays I share the “best sales”, but honestly, I have to admit I’ve been getting kind of burned out on that. I felt like I was getting in a rut searching for sales and having to force it sometimes.
After giving it some thought, I decided to discontinue that “best sales”
Hi friend! I hope you had a wonderful weekend. Brian and I went to his company’s camp and it was so good to get away for a few days – especially after all the craziness that is the Nordstrom Sale and Amazon Prime days.
I was starting to feel very worn out and as soon as we started heading into the country, I could feel my body relaxing. It’s a good 4-hour drive, so we had a chance to just talk in the car and of course stop at Bucee’s for treats.
There were several couples and customers at the camp and we all got up super early to go fishing in the bay.
Thank you to Walmart+ for sponsoring today’s post.
Hi friend! I hope you had a lovely weekend and are ready for a fresh, new week! Today, I’m sharing the things I do on Sunday to help my Monday, and week, run smoother.
SUNDAY AGENDA | HOW TO PREP FOR A NEW WEEK
PLAN
I always start by planning my week. I look at kids appointments, sports, etc. and write those in, then plan for my workouts. I’ll go through my email to see if there’s anything I need to follow up on,
Hi friend! Welcome to a fresh new week! We had a fun weekend with Jordan’s first basketball game and it was a hoot! She’s in kindergarten and these little kids are so fun to watch on the court. She was thrilled to score twice and I caught one of them on video!
PRETTY BATHROOM ORGANIZATION
If you’re working on getting your house cleaned up and organized this month, I have some inspiration for you! You can check out my Organization Tab for all of my previous organization posts and today, we’re tackling the bathroom.
Hi friend! I hope your week is off to a great start! Since I’m always sharing things I buy and recommend, I thought it would be a fun change of pace to share a few things I don’t buy.
Some of these are just personal preference, some are to save money and help the environment with less waste and chemicals. I know that I can do much better in that regard, but it’s a step in the right direction. I’d love to hear some of the things that you don’t buy and some of the alternatives.
Hi friends! I hope y’all are having a great week! It’s our first day of school! Cue all the feelings!
I’m definitely that mom that bawls her eyes out after drop off, but gimme about an hour and I’m good. It’s just so hard sending them off after enjoying months of being together at home. I actually like my alone time and then I’ll be sooo excited to pick them up and hear about the first day and how it went!
We’re still doing drop off and pickup from the car, as opposed to walking the kids inside,
Hi friends! How was your weekend? We had a great one here. Brian and I had a lovely date night on Friday at Bludorn- such a treat, the food is delicious and the atmosphere is hip and alive! And the service is impeccable, our waiter was darling!
We celebrated my nephew’s 5th birthday on Saturday and he and Jordan are so happy to be “twins” now! The party was at Texas Jump ‘N Splash and it was soooo hot, but also a lot of fun. We took turns cooling off in the AC part where they had a virtual reality game and air hockey.
Hi friends! I hope y’all are having a wonderful week! I’ve been working away and enjoying time with the kiddos. Jordan is in her second week of swim lessons and she’s doing so well! Hopefully, we’ll be able to go to the pool this weekend and get more practice in, but only if the rain stays away.
And today, I have a much needed hair color and cut appointment, which always feels so great! I’m gonna take detailed notes on my cut, color and share everything with you in a hair post soon!
Today, I’m turning our attention to one of my favorite topics- Getting Things Done!
Hi friends! I hope your week is off to a great start! Yesterday was definitely a Monday, but I’m feeling good because I got great sleep over the weekend, had a killer Monday workout, and got lots of those to-do’s checked off, including giving my office a much needed clean-up!
For the past two years, I’ve been intentionally working on simplifying my home and life. It often felt like I was running around in circles, trying to do all.the.things, taking care of all.the.things, while working, raising two kids, exercising, and being in a relationship.
Hello friends! I hope you had a wonderful weekend. I got to sleep in on Saturday ’til 8am when my best friend, Karen called. I was happy for the wakeup and happy to talk to her! It was a weekend alone, which I used to get ahead on laundry, meal prepping and blog posts. I even did a Saturday morning spin class- the hour one that feels like I’m gonna die, but, makes me feel so good later! And I got to meet a couple of friends for Sunday brunch at Common Bond. If you’re in Houston,

Hello friends! I hope y’all are having a great week! About a month ago I shared the routine chart I made for my son and it has been going really well. I’ve been waking up early and I will wipe off the previous days’ checkmarks, write today’s date at the top, put a sweet note at the bottom, then set it onto the counter for James to fill out as he completes the tasks in the morning.
I also fill up a cup of water for him and sit it nearby with his vitamins.
Hi friends! I hope your Summer is off to a great start! There’s no denying that this has been a crazy year with everything going on and we’re not out of the woods yet with Coronavirus and staying in most of the time.
Last Summer we had such a great time doing all kinds of fun things, going here and there and James was in a wonderful three week academic camp where he really thrived. Unfortunately, the camp canceled this Summer and we haven’t enrolled in anything else. We also haven’t made any travel plans. 🙁
Good morning friends! I hope your week is off to a great start! It’s been raining and thunder storming like crazy here. I thought we were gonna lose power yesterday, but thankfully, we didn’t. The good thing is, my yard could really use the water, so that’s a positive!
Yesterday, I shared the Amazon Big Style Sale with you and I’m updating my post with the latest deals, so be sure to check back HERE so you don’t miss anything! It’s the first sale like this Amazon has ever done that focuses exclusively on fashion,
Hi friends! Welcome back, I hope your week is off to a great start. Today, I want to talk about how to make the most of the rest of the year. The start of 2020 held so much hope and promise for a new decade, then so many devastating events occurred starting with the fires in Australia, Coronavirus, and the heartbreaking deaths of Ahmaud Arbery and George Floyd.
George Floyd was laid to rest in Houston where he grew up and our city is dedicating this day to him. May George rest in peace with his mama whom he called out to during his last moments here on earth.
Hello friends! Welcome to a new week! And Valentine’s week! ♥ Do y’all have any plans? Nothing big here, but I love to give the kids a treat and make it special for them. It’s on Friday this year – our movie night, so the perfect chance to stay in and cuddle up on the couch together.
Today, I have a new organization post and I hope it inspires you to tackle an organization project in your own home. Last month, I shared my pantry organization and holiday storage closet, and today, it’s my home office closet!
