When shopping online (because who has time to go to the store?!) it’s hard to tell how something fits and feels. “Will that look good on me? Do I need to size up? It is scratchy?” My goal is to take the guesswork out of shopping by inviting you into my Dressing Room where I honestly share the real-deal fit and review. And to help get you started, I scour the stores to find the cute and comfy new styles you’ll be curious about and show you how to wear them.
For size reference, I’m super petite, 5’1, 105, 34D. I usually wear 0P or 25 in jeans and XS or 0P tops.
Hi friend! How’s your week going? We’re movin’ and groovin’ over here. I’m so happy that Rhonda and I got Jordan’s rainbow wall decal hung! It looks so good and she absolutely loves it! You can see how we hung it here.
Hi friend! I hope you’re having a lovely Good Friday! I’m finishing the week strong with three killer workouts in a row. I took a pretty long break from my usual exercise, and have been feeling so blah and out of shape.
Not to mention the scale is reporting numbers I haven’t seen in forever, so I’m back at it, making my health and fitness a priority. I always feel so much better in body, mind and spirit when I’m at it consistently. Do you notice that too?
We had a fun week on the blog and I was so excited to welcome you into our new kitchen!
Hi friend! We are officially on Easter break (last minute basket stuffers here!) and the kids kicked it off with . . . dental visits! Well, that’s just how the schedule worked out, but they did great and we celebrated with a visit to Target after!
Speaking of Target, I’ll have a Target fashion haul tomorrow, but today, it’s all about LOFT! I placed a big order and have lots new Spring styles to share with you! And, bonus, most of the pieces are ON SALE!
Hi friend! I’m coming to you from glorious Cozumel today! I didn’t know if I’d be well enough to travel, but thankfully I’m so much better! I think I just needed about 48 hours of sleep to recover from my crazy last month!
If you haven’t been here in awhile, I found a home and moved in in less than a month. And, I sold my home! Needless to say, it’s been a very busy February/March, but I’m thankful we booked this trip ages ago. It couldn’t have come at a better time!
Hi friend! I’m always so excited for Friday! This week feels like it flew by and it was also busy with some behind the scenes things I can’t wait to share with you next week!
But first, it’s my sweet first born’s birthday today! My son turns 12 and I can’t wait to celebrate him. We’re doing a family pizza dinner tonight and then he’s having some friends over this weekend. James has been an absolute joy and delight since the day he was born and I tell him all the time how blessed I feel to get to be his mom.
Hi friend! Yay for Friday and making it to the weekend! We’re looking at a cold few days and only a basketball game and church on the agenda, so I’m sure we’ll be bundled up at home the rest of the time.
I know the world seems uncertain lately and I hope my blog brings a brief respite from the worry and fear out there. I’m sending y’all a big hug and extra love today.
On a much lighter note, if you missed any of my posts this week, you can catch up here:
Hi friend! I hope you’re getting to enjoy a day off work today! A three-day weekend is always a nice thing! We had such a fun, memorable weekend.
Friday was Jordan’s 6th birthday and she loved getting to bring Ryan’s World cookies to class. We’re in Houston and had The Bearded Baker (he’s been on the food network!) make them and they turned out amazing and really yummy. He makes other treats too, so I highly recommend him if you’re in the area.
Yay for Friday! I get to see my girlfriends today AND get a massage! We’re celebrating Marianna’s birthday with a spa party, complete with facials and massages and everyone is bringing a different themed charcuterie board. I chose to do a dessert theme and can’t wait to put it together! I’ll be sure to share on Stories how it turns out.
And it’s Super Bowl weekend! We’ll be watching the game at home with Brian and the girls and rooting for the Bengals all the way!
Hi friend! And just like that we’re back to Friday! I’m was so looking forward to the kids’ basketball games this weekend, but sickness put a dent our plans. Gotta roll with the punches, even when it feels like a sucker punch to the gut. I am looking forward to a date night with Brian and celebrating his lovely niece’s sweet 16 birthday! What are y’all up to this weekend?
If you missed the fun stuff on the blog this week, you can catch up here:
Hello friend! Welcome to a brand new week! Our Favorite Things party was Friday and oh, man, it was the biggest, boisterous one of all! We had the largest number of guests this year and Ali-Shaun said they brought the best things this time. I will do a recap of the party and what everyone brought this week. You can find the Top 15 favorite things from years past here.
I’m giddy for today’s post because it highlights very special person, his amazing jewelry, AND I have a generous discount code just for you!
Hi friend! I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I had my family and Brian over and it was a lovely time, pretty casual with lots of good food. Too much in fact! I’ve already been eating all the desserts all week! Is that you too?
Today is a fun dressing room style post with our favorite girlfriend, Ali-Shaun. It’s always a blast when she stops by and it’s even better on Stories, which I’ll be sharing this weekend!
We ordered lots of things from Nordstrom and are taking advantage of their Black Friday sale- up to 50% off tons of good things and FREE shipping!
Hi friend! Happy almost Thanksgiving! Can you believe it’s tomorrow?! I’ve prepped as much as I can already by laying out my recipes and ingredients, and the table was set about a month ago! I just need to tidy the house, figure out what I’m gonna wear, and start cooking!
I’m so looking forward to it. We did a little play date with the cousins yesterday and it always makes me thankful for how tight our small family is.
We lost my dad many years ago to cancer, but I feel like he would be satisfied to see how close we’ve remained and how we all make efforts to get together often.
Hi friend! Welcome back to my blog and hello if you’re new here! It’s a fresh, new week and Houston weather is showing off for it! We had a glorious cool front blow in on Friday night and the weekend was in the mid 70’s during the day and mid 50’s at night.
That was a much needed reprieve from the 90s we had before that! Houston is always slow to get the Fall memo, but when it does, it feels SO GOOD!
FALL FASHION | ALL AT WALMART
Today I have new pieces and outfits to share with you from Walmart.
Hi friend! Yay for Friday! We had a short week here since the kids were off school for Columbus Day, but that always seems to make the rest of the week busier! I’m definitely looking forward to the weekend.
We have Jordan’s soccer game on Saturday and the Houston forecast is looking PERFECT! We’re expecting a cool front tonight that will put us at a high of 75 and low of 55. That will be glorious! Especially since we were sweating our buns off at last Saturday’s game!
Hi friends! Are we soooo happy it’s Friday?! I know I am! This was our first full week back to school and it came with some exhausted kiddos. Getting into a new routine is a challenge and my son also started sports, so that’s another change.
Most nights, I went to bed with my kindergartener (early!) so luckily mom stayed rested!
Brian and I had a much needed date night at Savoir last night and it was so good to catch up and talk about everything that’s been going on lately.
It’s been a heavy week with all of the world events.
Hi friends! I hope you are doing well and enjoying your week! We’ve been having rain, rain, rain and yesterday lost power for a several hours. It’s always so surreal because, out of habit, you keep switching on lights when you walk into a room, but it stays dark. :/
