I Passed My Health Coach Exam! Here’s What’s Next!
Hi friend! I hope you are doing amazing and having a great week! I have some exciting news to share:
I officially passed my health coach certification exam! I took the test last Friday and was so excited and relieved when I saw that I passed! Cue happy tears!!
This has been something I’ve been working hard on behind the scenes for months, and I have loved getting to dig deeper into this health coach material and learn new things. It feels so good to finally step into this next season with you!
Health, fitness, and intentional living have been part of my life for years, but becoming a certified health coach allows me to support you in a deeper, more meaningful way. If you’ve been here a while, you may have seen this shift coming.
Why I Decided to Become a Health Coach
Over the past few years, and especially during my Fit at 50 body recomposition journey, something else has been happening in the background. As I’ve leaned more into strength training, appropriate nutrition, and building simple systems that actually fit my life, I’ve noticed a shift in myself. I feel stronger- not just physically, but mentally and emotionally too. I’ve spent lots of time looking inward and am zeroing in on what truly matters to me in this season of life.
I’ve also heard the same things from so many of you:
“I feel overwhelmed.”
“I don’t know where to start.”
“I need something sustainable.”
And honestly? I want that for you too.
My passion isn’t quick fixes or extremes. It’s helping busy women create simple, realistic systems so their health, home, and life start feeling more in control- and a lot less overwhelming.
What This Means for My Blog
Don’t worry – I’m not abandoning the fashion, style, home, and beauty content you enjoy. That foundation helped build this community and this business, and it still has a place here.
But now, I’m looking forward to adding more depth to it. I’ve been trying to go more in that direction for awhile now and I hope you’ve noticed the subtle change.
My life (and yours!) isn’t one-dimensional, and my content won’t be either. Instead, you’ll see a more intentional blend of:
- Affordable fashion
- Home decor inspiration
- Beauty favorites I truly use
- The everyday lifestyle content you love
- Fitness routines and body recomposition
- Simple wellness habits
- Real-life systems that keep things running smoothly
My Content Focus for the Next 3 Months
As we head into spring, I’m being very intentional about what I create and share. Here’s what you can expect to see more of:
Fashion & Style
I still love sharing cute, affordable fashion finds. Over the next few months, you’ll see:
- Outfit formulas for real life
- Elevated basics for spring and summer
- Try-ons that are actually wearable (not just trendy)
- Amazon and other affordable retailers
- Prime Day favorites and roundups
- What I’m wearing each month
Looking good and feeling good is still a big part of my world. We’re just pairing it with feeling strong and confident in our bodies too.
Fitness & Body Recomp Content
This is where you’ll see the biggest expansion. I’ll be sharing more of what has actually worked for me at 50+, including:
- My weekly workout splits
- Progressive overload explained simply
- Lean build and fat loss phases (I’ll be entering a “cut” soon)
- How I structure my gym week
My goal is to make strength training feel approachable, not intimidating. Especially for us older women.
Wellness & Nutrition Habits
You’ll also see more of the small habits that create big results over time.
Think:
- Macro-friendly meal ideas
- High-protein favorites
- Fiber and digestion support
- Morning and evening routines
- Supplement routines (what I personally use)
- Productivity systems like brain dumping, block scheduling, and habit stacking
Coaching & Community (Coming Soon)
Now that I’m certified, I’ll be slowly rolling out coaching opportunities.
Over the next few months, I’ll be working on:
- Expanding my Body Recomp resources
- One-on-one coaching spots
- A small group coaching option
- More structured fitness and habit plans
- Tools to help you stay consistent
If you’ve ever wanted more personalized support, stay tuned!
My Heart Behind This Next Chapter
If I could sum up this new season in one sentence, it would be this:
I want to help busy women build strong bodies, organized homes, and intentional lives – without feeling overwhelmed.
You don’t need to do everything perfectly or start over every Monday. You don’t need a complete overhaul. You just need simple systems and someone in your corner.
I’m so excited to be that person for many of you in this next season!
I’d Love to Hear From You

I have loved following your fitness journey. I’m 65 and I just got my macro numbers, but I have no idea what I am doing. Will you be teaching how to use macros in your coaching. I’m not really overweight, but would love to shed 5-10lbs of weight and fat.
Yes! That’s one of the first things I’ll be sharing and look for a new blog post on macros soon! You can definitely lose those 5-10 pounds with some tweaks to your macros!
I’m so excited for all of this! Congratulations! I love all of your content, but your fitness and wellness content is my favorite.
That’s really great to hear Holly because I plan to share more! I hope it’s helpful for you! Thank you for being here!
Congratulations on passing your exam! You’re the epitome of health, especially for us more mature women. I look forward to continuing to learn and be inspired by you. God bless 😊
I really appreciate that Chris! Thank you for being here!
Hey girl- This is so exciting! Congrats Megan! God is so good! HE has great plans for you! Have a blessed day my friend.
Yes! Praise God! I’m so thankful!! I really appreciate you Shawnna!
Well Done!!!
Thank you so very much!!
I am so proud of you, Megan. This is a beautiful extension of the inspiring life you lead. Always cheering you on. Congratulations, friend. Love you.
Love you Court!! I love seeing how we’ve evolved over the years!
I love all your fitness content and the motivation to remain fit and active as I age! I would love to see macros and nutrition content as well as productivity.
COngrats! I know you have friends who work more traditional jobs – it is often hard to see how these workouts fit in with a more rigid work schedule, and would love some tips on that.
Thank you! That is really hard Laura when you work full time and don’t have very much flexibility with your schedule. When I worked a typical 9-5, the only time to workout was before or after work and on weekends. If that’s the only place in your schedule, then that’s what I would do. You can also workout at home so you save that drive time. Truly a 20-30 minute weight workout at home can be so effective! There’s lots of YouTube videos with 30 minute workouts at home. And it is true that your steps can add up with parking further away and taking little walk breaks at work.
Congratulations, what a great accomplishment and we will benefit from your added knowledge in the health/fitness area. I’m just getting back to re-building/re-focusing my health in my mid 50’s and strength and eating healthy are at the top of my priorities, so I look forward to your continued content. A business little “refresh” is always nice, you’ve got me thinking about that for my own little home based business. Thank-you! My fav blog/insta to follow for sure!
Congratulations on passing your test. All of this content sounds amazing! I am 51 and looking for easy ways to tone and add a little bit of muscle. I am mainly worried about my bone health. Thanks!
Congratulations to you, Megan! Have been following you for years, and happy for you that you’ve completed this big achievement. I’m also one of your older followers, and would appreciate more content on nutrition, protein-rich meals, and a bit of home organization and productivity. Thank you!
Congratulations! You will be an amazing health coach. I love your health and fitness content and always have.
I would love a post on macros. Maybe even breaking down different macro percentages for weight loss vs gaining muscle. I have daily protein goals but have been overwhelmed by the idea of macros for some reason, so a simple explanation all in one place would be amazing.
I’m looking forward to seeing you bloom in this new area, a natural extension of what you’ve been doing for so long!
I have that coming next week and my Macro Guide is designed to give you your specific percentages based on your goals so I think that would really be helpful for you! Here’s the link: https://stan.store/honeywerehome/p/12week-macro-calculator
I would also love to see more posts on meal prep. The idea of spending 4 hours in my kitchen on a Sunday cleaning, chopping, and cooking food sounds awful but I love to have leftovers ready to eat. So maybe super simple version of how to make lunches for the week would be amazing.
I agree, you have to find what works for you and your schedule. Lately, I’ve just been prepping rice in my rice cooker when it runs out, and same with baking chicken. Then, in the morning while I’m cooking my breakfast, I’m also prepping the next day’s meals. It’s been easier to do little preparations at a time. BUT, having said that, even if I do a big meal prep on a weekend, it’s never taken 4 hours. Probably closer to 1 hour.
This is so exciting! I have followed you for years and I enjoy that your fashion and life is “real.” I can’t wait for nutrition/macro and beginner workouts to get started. I exercised regularly until about 5 years ago(I’m now 46) and I just can’t seem to get it and together and sustain it! Congratulations!!
I’m so glad you like this content Cassie. I’ll be doing a beginner macro tutorial next week on my blog! I hope it helps!
Congratulations on passing your exam! What an exciting milestone. You are definitely an inspiration to women of all ages, but especially those of us in our 50s. This is a big year for you!
Need help with it all, workouts with macro meal planning to compliment fitness goals! Thanks Megan!
Congratulations on your achievement – evidence of a lot of dedication! I would love to see posts on how to lose stubborn waist fat in your 40s, at home dumbbell weight workouts, more healthy meal ideas especially for dinner, etc. Thanks for sharing – you do a great job!
