Our home is our haven from the world, and there’s no place I’d rather be! It’s a good thing too, because since 2010, when we built this place, I’ve been pouring over all the design and decor details, making it the perfect cozy home for us. During the day you may see footballs flying through the air, toys strewn about the living room and beyond, and kitchen counters clutters with all.the.things! But that’s real life and what makes a home with kids! I’m happy to welcome you in to our HOME TOUR, and of course I cleaned up for you! ;)
Hi friend! The summer countdown is on here! 2 1/2 days until school’s out for SUMMER!!! And I have no idea what we’re gonna do all day! When I was a young mama, I made all these grand plans and summer bucket lists, but not one year did we do all those things!
Now, I’m way more playing it by ear, but I still like our days to have some semblance of a plan/routine or I feel start to fell all anxious. We don’t have any camps planned, but we are going on two trips. My son and I are heading to Miami next week and at the end of summer,

Hi friend! Welcome to a fresh, new week! We had a lovely weekend that ended with a day at the pool! It was over 80 degrees, so Jordan and I went to my mom’s pool and hung out for about an hour. It was sunny, but dang that pool was chilly! It definitely got me in the mood for Spring to make its way here permanently!
We made plans to go to San Antonio with my brother and his family for part of our Spring Break this year. We’re renting a house with a pool (I’m so happy Luke can join!),
Hi friend! I hope you’re having a fabulous week! We celebrated Fat Tuesday at school yesterday with little classroom parties and then my girlfriends took me out to dinner to celebrate my birthday.
I’m so thankful for this crew of amazing friends. Most of us have known each other about 10 years – since our kids started preschool together.
NEW CLOSET TOUR
Can you believe it’s been almost one year since we moved into our new house? I’ve shown the whole home tour here, but there are still a few rooms that I haven’t fully shared.
Hi friend! I hope your week is off to a great start! After taking down the Christmas decor, it felt good to have a clean blank space to start fresh with.
I’ve added a few new decor touches to our living room and restyled the open shelves in the kitchen. At the bottom of this post, I’m sharing new home decor from Target and Amazon that caught my eye. I ordered that light blue tray STAT!
One of my biggest life changes in 2022 was moving into this new house. I still very much liked our old house, but when this new home appeared on the market and I saw it for the first time, I felt like we belonged there.
The kids were with me when we first toured it and after being inside for just 20 minutes, my inner voice declared out loud, I think this is our house. I could totally picture us living there.
Wow.
It was a big leap of faith, considering my old house wasn’t even on the market.

It doesn’t take much effort or money to make your home feel Fall friendly. In Houston, it’s more challenging to get the weather to cooperate! But, we have been lucky with a few cooler days here and there.
Hi friend! How’s your week going? It’s been a great week here so far! Our morning weather has been gloriously cooler, which makes for such lovely runs. I’m off my marathon training schedule because I haven’t been getting in the longer weekend runs when I have the kids. So, this weekend I’m looking forward to that. The race is October 30!

Hi friend! I hope you had a wonderful weekend! Jordan and I spent the last week “Just the Gs” (girls) and it was so lovely to get all that alone time with her. ♥
We bonded with lots of conversation, coloring, reading, baking, going to Target, Chick-fil-A, the pool, and the bookstore and also playing with the friendly neighborhood cat that has started showing up at our front porch daily.
Jordan has become quite attached to and obsessed with “Mr. Handsome.” I will say he’s super cute and I’m very fond of him too. Except, I think he’s a she.
Hi friend! I hope you are having an amazing week! It’s just the girls this week and yesterday was a Chick-fil-A and Target kind of day! Jordan also really loves the basketball hoop we have in our driveway, so there’s lots of HORSE being played too.
We’re looking at about 3 weeks until school starts, so it’s on the brain. If you have college-aged kids, they may be needing some things for their dorm. I found great decor to make it feel more like home and useful organization items for small spaces.
Hi friend! Happy Wednesday! My son started a camp this week, so that means early mornings again for the next three weeks. But, y’all know me, I love a good routine and so I’m feeling more like myself again! I even went for a run yesterday and I’ll have a half marathon recap for you tomorrow!

Hi friend! I’m really excited to invite you into our new living room today! As you probably know, we moved into our new house about two months ago. In those eight weeks, we’ve started to settle into our home. It still very much has that ‘new house feel’, but we’re making it our own.
This home has an open floor plan that’s laid out in a lovely way. I like that the living room still feels nice and cozy, even though it opens up to the kitchen and dining room.
Hi friend! Yesterday’s Tuesday kinda felt like a Monday since my kids just went back to school! And I’ve been loving getting outside and walking/jogging lately. Houston’s weather has been so good, lots of sunshine and not too humid. I know that’s coming so I’m mentally preparing!
