Happy Monday friend!  Welcome to a fresh, new week!  Today is a treat because there’s no school today!  Definitely made Sunday a little more chill, knowing we didn’t have to prepare for school today.  A 3-day weekend is good for the soul – especially this time of year when things are so extra full.

I went through the next few months and calendared everything and did a big ‘ole brain dump.  Instantly, my anxiety over all.the.things went down. “Make a plan.  Work the plan.”  That’s my go-to strategy when life feels more hectic than normal.

Hi friend!  It’s a brand new month!  Can you believe it?!  My sweet, thoughtful, creative and super smart first born turns 13 this month!  A teenager!  My sister Jessica sent me this article and I could relate to so much of it.  I was in tears by the end!

It’s wild to remember that I started this blog when he was just 4 months old and many of you have been with me since that time!  I’m so grateful that we’ve been able to share so much together over the years.

YOUR FEBRUARY FAVES

Hi friend!  I’ve missed you!  I took some much needed time off after Christmas to rest and recharge and it really did me good.  While the kids were gone, I cleaned house, worked out, took myself out to lunch and to the bookstore and visited with a few friends.

There were late mornings and also some glorious naps thrown in for good measure.  The house is a clean slate with all the Christmas decor down. ♥

I was so happy that I went through and donated all of the Christmas decor that we weren’t using that didn’t fit in our new house. 

This has been a month for the books!  I bought a house, moved, and sold my old house yesterday!  And, in the midst of all of that, Brian and I took a quick trip to Cozumel!  Needless to say, it’s been a lot and I’m definitely looking forward to the weekend!

We have my son’s first track and field meet, plus my daughter’s t-ball game, then I’ll be doing my research for shades in my office.  I love the three large windows in that room and all the natural light,

Hi friend! I feel like every month is flying by now. We are in full swing with school and sports and it’s feeling extra busy. I’m definitely the type of person that prefers lots of ‘white space’ in my life.  It’s having that down time that makes me less cranky and irritable when life feels like it’s swirling around me.  Needless to say, I’m so looking forward to the weekend!  How about you??

Hello friend!  Welcome to a brand new week!  We’ve got lots on the agenda, so I’m glad I did a big ‘ole brain dump on Sunday!  It definitely helped get the day going with an action plan!

I can’t believe we’re nearly in September, but I always LOVE this time of the year when we’re looking forward to Fall!  My family got together on Sunday for an impromptu barbecue and it was so wonderful to hang out.  My brothers are such good people and so funny!

We’re also planning our Fall trip to Dewberry Farms and it’s got me so excited for pumpkins and cooler weather and Fall decor! 

Hi friends! Yay for Friday!  I’m really excited for the long weekend and short school week next weeks.  My kids still have a couple weeks of school before summer break, so this will give us a little taste!

Yesterday was really fun, my mom and I surprised my brother by showing up at his house in the morning to wish him happy 40th birthday and give him his gifts!  He had no idea we were coming, which made it even better! And, I had one of those big yard signs delivered, and it turned out great!

I love that I can still tease him all these years later!

Hi friends!  I’m so happy to be taking a breather in Mexico with my wonderful boyfriend!  Sometimes I pinch myself that I even have a “boyfriend”, since it kinda makes me feel like a teenager to say that!

It’s also EASTER weekend!  Do y’all have any fun plans?  I’ll be celebrating with my kiddos when I get back and their baskets are already ready and waiting and I’m certain the Easter bunny will have hidden eggs by the time I get back too!
