Hi friend! Welcome back to my blog and to a brand new week! I feel like I slept most of this weekend, but sometimes your body just needs that rest. I’m definitely feeling rejuvenated and ready to take on this week now!
Did you have a fun Halloween? We trick-or-treated with Ali-Shaun and her kids and it was a lot of fun. Credit to Ali-Shaun for flyering the street to “bring back Halloween” and get the neighbors outside to meet and mingle last night. It was such wholesome, good fun!
This week I’m excited to kick off a full week of holiday gift guides!
Hi friend! How’s your week going? We’re off to a fun start with basketball try-outs yesterday and my daughter’s team soccer pics. I was also still recovering from my eventful weekend. I swear, sometimes I really wish there was an extra day between Sunday and Monday.
Switching gears, how’s your Christmas shopping going? So far, I have some gifts for my mom and daughter, but that’s it. Oh wait, I did order my ‘favorite thing’ for this year’s annual Favorite Things Party. I’ll tell you guys what it is, but don’t spill the beans! It’s supposed to be a surprise at the party!
Hi friend! How’s your week going? I sent Jordan to school yesterday all ready for her field trip (special outfit & sack lunch), only to find out it’s Thursday. Oops! I swear, I try to be so organized and on top of things, but stuff still falls through the cracks! Have you had any of those mishaps lately?
Today, I’m excited to share my weekly Just Sales post, AND bring you the first of several holiday gift guides I’m working on. I’ve heard from many of you that want to get your shopping done early so you don’t have to stress about inventory,
Hi friends! Merry Christmas Eve! We’re all cozied up and definitely feeling like holiday mode over here. We’re moving slow, but super excited for Christmas tomorrow.
This year hasn’t been anything we could have expected or prepared for, but we made it! Getting to connect here with you is a big part of what helped get me through.
I try to always look on the bright side and be a positive spot in your day, but it’s also good to acknowledge that this year has been really tough. You helped keep my ‘normal’ going and I love to you pieces for that!
Hi friends! I’m so happy y’all liked seeing our annual Favorite Things as much as I did! I really hope the Christmas in July party happens! We’ve actually been talking about doing that for a couple of years, so now that we had to skip getting together this month, hopefully it’s on for the summer!
Yesterday, Jordan had a case of the Mondays, and I let her stay home with me. It doesn’t happen very often, but sometimes a 4 year-old just needs a little extra home time. We decorated our dining room and Rhonda popped in and came snapped some pics for us!
One of the highlights of my year is our annual Favorite Things party. Ali-Shaun and I started hosting it a few years ago and it’s grown into an annual tradition that all of us look forward to every year. And we talk about it ’til the next year!
Most of us met when our kids started preschool together and now those kids are in 5th grade! We are such a tight knit group and it’s been so fun to watch our kids grow up together. Over the years, we’ve celebrated each other’s triumphs and successes and lifted each other up during the hard times.
Hi friends! Happy Friday! I hope you had a good week and are looking forward to the weekend. I have a few plans, including house chores, shopping, and I want to start wrapping too. The house projects include doing paint touch ups in my office, James’ room and bathroom, and in the playroom. It’s one of those things that’s been on my to-do list forever, and I’m finally ready to tackle it! I already patched the holes, now I just need to paint.
Hi friends! Happy first day of December!! 24 days until Christmassssss!!!
I hope your week is off to a great start! I made sure to schedule my workouts for the week since I feel like I need a major detox after all the Thanksgiving weekend indulgences! Yesterday, I did 50 minutes on the treadmill at a slow pace and high incline. I like doing that because it’s a great workout – gets your heart rate up and works the legs and booty- AND I can chat with y’all on Instagram DM while I do it!
Hi friends! Happy Friday! How has your week been? It’s been such a blur here, but in the best way! I’m most excited for the Christmas card pictures we got of the kids this week! Praise the Lord everyone cooperated (with candy cane bribes, of course) and the pictures are the sweeeeeetest! I can’t wait to share them with you! This weekend, I’ll be preparing for Thanksgiving (just a small get together with my family) and getting more things done around the house. What’s on your agenda?
Hello friends! How’s your week going? I’m already looking forward to the weekend and doing more holiday decorating. Half of the lights on my garland gave out, so I’ve got new ones on the way!
Jordan and I will be decorating the darling little Christmas tree in her room this weekend, and I’m also hoping to get my bedroom Christmas tree decorated too! Most of the living room is holiday ready and I did a mix of white, green and gold in there.
One thing I love to do each night is light candles.
Good morning Monday friends! Did you have a good Halloween? How about that extra hour of sleep? Did you get to enjoy it? I sure did! It was nice to have a long stretch of time at home. I spent ALL day Sunday cleaning and decorating and it made me so happy!
Our Christmas tree is up! and (mostly) decorated and some holiday touches have been sprinkled throughout the living room and kitchen. Join me on Stories for some sneak peeks and I’ll share with you here soon.
Good morning friends! Well, today is the first day the kiddos go back to school, so we’re up and at ’em early for the first time in weeks! The excitement of the first day back makes getting up and out the door easier, but I’m sure I’ll hit the wall later today.
Hello friends! Are you still in the post Christmas haze? I’m moving slowly, and happily so. I’m sure I’ll get a crazy burst of energy over the weekend and start doing all.the.things. But for now, I’m still enjoying the after Christmas heart-so-full feeling.
If you’re looking for the after-Christmas sales, you can find them here, but I also wanted to recap our Christmas while the feelings are still fresh.
Hopefully, opening up in this way will let you in a little more on what life is like for me as a divorced mom.
Thank you to ShopStyle and Disney+ for sponsoring today’s post.
Hello friends! Welcome back! Do you have any fun plans during your Christmas break? We are just staying home and visiting with friends and family. But one thing is for sure, we’ll be cozying up on the couch with our hot cocoa watching movies! It’s become a Friday night tradition to do a family movie night and it’s something we look forward to every week.
After school on Friday, we usually stop at a coffee shop for a little treat, then come home and have an early dinner.
Hi friends! Happy Wednesday! We had a looong day yesterday! I tried to get me and the kids a good night sleep, but Jordan had other plans. So, needless to say, I was exhausted all day yesterday (extra coffee please!!!) and then we had an unexpectedly long dental visit after school. Leftovers for dinner and call it a night!
Thankfully, I got some good sleep last night, which really helps! We’re off to the bookstore today for the annual school book fair and that’s always a fun event. Speaking of fun events, I’m so glad y’all enjoyed our Favorite Things Recap!
Hi friends! I hope you are sufficiently caffeinated for this post because it’s a long one! If you need to go make yourself a fresh cup of coffee first, I’ll wait!
The party was such a blast and full of so many belly laughs. I’m so thankful for this group of friends. They killed it with their gift giving this year,

Hello friends! I hope you had a wonderful weekend! Thursday night’s Favorite Things party was fantastic and I’ll be doing a full recap on my blog tomorrow. If you want a sneak peek now, I saved the party to my Instagram Highlights. I warn you : there is lots of hyena-like laughter and you might want to turn the volume down. 😉
I had a weekend alone, so I used the time to get organized, workout, and finish my Christmas shopping for the kids!
Thank you to Nordstrom and ShopStyle for sponsoring today’s post.
Hi friends! How’s your week going? I seriously cannot believe that we’re in the last month of the year! And Christmas is just 22 days away! Our Elf “Buddy” arrived on Sunday and Jordan is crazy for him! And I’m not above reminding her he’s watching and giving Santa a full report every night! 😉
I’m so glad I started decorating for Christmas in November because it always takes me forever to get everything done. Here’s a look at the Christmas trees we have up in our house (yes “trees!”
